Work Text:

Thundercracker would never admit it, but he was quite liking this planet so far. Certainly not the sand stuck between his armor or the uneven ground, but the sky was ever changing. Sometimes dark, sometimes blue. Maybe it was something about the atmosphere, but that was always Starscream’s thing. Thundercracker rarely gave things like that much mind.

Right now the sky was a lot like the one back on Cybertron, full of stars.

Skywarp was curled up at his side, watching the sky. Blitzwing was dead asleep over Thundercracker’s leg, head awkwardly tucked into his lap and his hands clutching one of Thundercracker’s. Thundercracker was lucky neither of them was injured -or worse- in the crash.

Thundercracker tried to keep a tough exterior, but his only thought after waking up after the crash was finding his family. Luckily all of them had made it. He was a little anxious that Megatron had sent Slipstream and Nightlight to scout so soon after, but someone had to stay to keep an eye on Skywarp and Blitzwing, and nobody had the patience for Blitzwing except Thundercracker and Skywarp.

It was strange sometimes, remembering the mech Blitzwing used to be. He was the one everyone relied on. A bot with a bright future ahead of him. Even Starscream had generally followed his orders. Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp were trine, but Slipstream and Blitzwing, both lacking trine, had fit in just as seamlessly. In a better universe maybe they would have all been a proper Gestalt.

Instead Starscream had disappeared, and Blitzwing eventually had too. Starscream never came back and Blitzwing came back broken. Skywarp had broken by then too. Still, they moved on as best as they could. They were part of Megatron’s army, so they couldn’t be weak. They weren’t weak.

Would Starscream think they were weak? He had apparently survived on this itchy planet, so he was the strongest of them all.

It bothered him that he knew Starscream was closer than ever but he was still unreachable. The younglings had taken off before they could establish any form of proper communication.

Skywarp had started shrieking, so Thundercracker couldn’t blame them.

“Hey, TC…” Skywarp broke him from his thoughts, shifting its body, and pointing upwards. That was the only warning he got before the world around them became a shadow.

There was a form - a Seeker, but it wasn’t Starscream- in the sky. Silver and red, a cloak draping around him, tucked out of the way of his wings. Thundercracker himself was already large for a Seeker, but this mech was massive. He could give Megatron a run for his credits. He tucked down as lightly as he could for his size, enough that Blitzwing didn’t even wake up.

“Cybertronians.” The Seeker managed to make it sound like the word was a slur. “What is your plans for my planet?”

The accent was wrong, and it was an older form, but at least he spoke it. They could finally make some progress on this…matter.

“We didn’t have a choice being here! We crashed.” Skywarp jumped up. “Are you related to Starscream?! He’s our trine!”

The Seeker hummed, looking between them. His eyes were as blue as an Autobot but Thundercracker felt the sinister aura wafting off him. “I am Galecrest. Starscream is my --- but I do know the cybertronian term is Creator.”

“And Skyfire is your sire, right?” Skywarp could be smart when it wanted to be.

Galecrest smirked at the use of Skyfire’s name. “Correct.”

“I’m Skywarp, and that’s my conjux Thundercracker, and my hatchmate Blitzwing.” It dared to approach Galecrest. “We just want to talk to Starscream.”

“That…can be arranged.” The smirk turned more into a smile. “Welcome to Earth. ----, Cybertronians. I can allow you three safe passage on my planet but I can’t say the rest of your kind should be so lucky.”

“You should speak to Lord Megatron about that.” Thundercracker spoke, holding Blitzwing’s hand tighter as he stirred just a bit. Needed to have a hold on him in case he woke…more erratically.

“Megatron?”

“Our leader!” Skywarp clarified. “Guess you must have some authority here if you came to snuff us up instead of Screamer so he’ll probably want to talk to you either way.”

Galecrest bent down slightly, getting more on Skywarp’s height. “I do in fact lead the Cyberterrans, and consult on matters pertaining to the organic dominant species on this planet. --- isn’t interested in having much power outside his lab, and ---...Creator is often incompetent when it comes to keeping my siblings in check.”

Having a whole name implied it was even a necessity. “How many siblings do you have?”

Galecrest grimaced. “I will forward you the spreadsheet after I have talked to this…Lord Megatron.”

Spreadsheet?

What the frag, Screamer?

Notes:

Skywarp and Thundercracker will go into aunt and uncle mode eventually, right now their main priority is Starscream.

As a 14 Million Years Old man Galecrest now generates his own boss music. Megatron's Seeker fetish is gonna meet its match in a Seeker he can climb.
