Summary
Starscream and Skyfire love each other.
But when Skyfire kisses him and things are about to escalate, Starscream feels like his wires are all tangled and his frame was going to rust and fall apart in the worst ways. It wasn't about Skyfire.
He knew this shouldn't be a problem. So he tries to ignore it.
Skyfire can't ignore it. So he stops and listens.

"-I mean it when I say it. I love you. I care about you.”
“Why?” Starscream asked. No sass. Just genuine, heartbreaking confusion. Doubt.
“I can’t even give you what you want. Look at us now- Look at me now!” He demanded, gesturing to their frames.The two bots were sitting on other ends of the berth, Starscream almost right at the edge. The lighting in the room was comfortable and romantic.
The atmosphere was tense.

Summary
The Prime isn’t the only one capable of hearing Primus. When Starscream succeeds his predecessor as the next Winglord of Vos, Primus only has one interesting little bit of information to grace him with at the start of his reign: Sentinel Prime is a false Prime who doesn’t hold the Matrix of Leadership.
Well, he usually prefers to gossip on the sidelines, but Starscream can boldly declare the beginning of a political shitstorm when need be. Now, Starscream and his trine just need to figure out where the Matrix is and who it actually should belong to.

His wings, repainted with gold accents and a polish that caught all of the light, flared above his helm like a halo. The audience roared as servos were thrown into the air. He couldn't keep his optics off of the crowd. Adrenaline soared through his fuel lines and sent his audials ringing, but he had never been happier than he was in that moment. It was thrilling and, more than anything, addictive. He was the centre of attention. The crowd was there for him.
