Chapter Text

“Okay. So, we finally finished making the biggest weed brownie we’ve ever seen!” Hanbon said, sitting back.

“For the video?” Coy asked, looking back at the oven.

“Yeah. We just need to figure out what to do after we eat it.”

“Like games?” Anthony pulled up a list on his phone. “I have a couple of ideas that I wrote down last time we got drunk. They might suck because I was really fried when I wrote them.”

“Yeah, that’s fine. At least we have something.” Coy looked at Will, who was sitting in front of the oven, waiting for it to finish baking. “And are we sure he’s not already eaten a brownie?”

“No, that’s just how he is.” Hanbon and Anthony looked at Will. “Will, you know that still has like fifteen minutes, right?”

“Uhm. Yeah?” Will looked back and rolled his eyes. “I’m just waiting.”

Anthony nudged Coy and Hanbon, whispering to set up a camera where Will was at.

“It’d be good to have as an intro to the video.”

“You’re right!” Hanbon grabbed a camera nearby and put it on the side of Will. “Will, it’s set up as a timelapse, okay?”

“Sure, whatever.”

“What do we do in the fifteen minutes?”

“Find other things to do, Anthony’s list is half typed out.” Hanbon was holding Anthony’s phone and tossed it onto the couch.

Coy reached for it and put it in his back pocket.

“Coy. Give it to me.”

“No! You let Hanbon have it!”

“Because I know she wouldn’t go into Pinterest and start saving pins of you on my account! I haven’t gotten around to deleting that stupid board.”

“Hey, that’s a good idea!” Coy opened Pinterest on Anthony’s phone.

Anthony reached for his phone and Coy turned around. “Okay. Well.”

“I’m gonna start recording, okay?” Hanbon asked Anthony, since Coy was focused on Anthony’s phone.

“Yeah. That’s fine.”

Hanbon held the camera and panned to Coy. “Coy has Anthony’s phone.”

Coy turned the phone to the camera and smiled. “Look at all the pins he has of me!”

“Coy, can I have my phone? Please?”

“Go sit down next to the computer and I’ll toss you your phone.”

“Uhm. Okay?” Anthony walked over and sat in the chair. “Odd request…” He muttered, holding his hand out for his phone.

Coy was whispering in Hanbon’s ear. “You should handcuff him to the desk so I can have his phone.”

“Oh my gosh, yes.” Hanbon put the camera down and grabbed the handcuffs.

“Ready?”

“Yeah.”

“I’ll distract him and you’ll handcuff.” Coy held up Anthony’s phone and walked over to Anthony. “Here you go!”

“You guys realize I can hear you?” Anthony said, looking at Coy and grabbing his phone.

“What?”

“You guys are anything but quiet.”

The handcuffs clicked and Coy moved away to look at Anthony. “It worked!”

“What—“

Hanbon and Coy high-fived, jumping up and down. Coy had taken Anthony’s phone away from him and went to go sit on the couch.

“Hanbon.”

Hanbon shrugged and went to go grab the camera. “This is your fault.”

“That doesn’t even make sense! Hanbon, unhand-cuff me.”

“Is that even a word? Unhand-cuff?” She panned the camera to Anthony, who was arguing with her. “This is what happens to friends that are rude and annoying.”

“I asked for my phone back.” Anthony looked up to the camera and sighed, leaning back into the chair.

“Like and subscribe to free Anthony!”

“Don’t encourage her!”

“IT’S DONE!! IT’S DONE!!!” Will jumped up and ran to Hanbon. “Hanbon! The brownie is…”

“Will, help me.”

“Why is Anthony handcuffed to the table?”

“He was being rude to Coy and now he’s being rude to me.” Hanbon turned herself and the camera to Will.

“Okay, makes sense. Let’s get the brownie!”

“Okay!”

“No— Hanbon! Will! Get over here before I—“

Coy had moved off of the couch and walked over. “Is it fine if I take off his handcuffs so he can eat?”

“That’s fine!” Hanbon yelled back, and Coy nodded.

“Okay, don’t kill me.” Coy slowly approached Anthony and was recording him on his own phone.

Anthony scoffed and laughed at the same time. “I’m not, like, a wild animal.”

Coy didn’t reply to that, he just raised his eyebrows.

“I hate you so much. Just unhand-cuff me already.”

“Fine.”

Coy grabbed the key from under the keyboard where Anthony was sitting and opened his handcuffs.

“You’re joking.”

“I didn’t say anything!” Coy put the key back and handed Anthony his phone, which was still recording.

“The key was there the whole time.”

“Yeah? I thought you knew!”

“I sat here for fifteen minutes. And the key was right in front of me the whole time.”

Coy moved away. “I’m… gonna go eat the brownie.”

“Okay, okay. I’m coming too.”

Hanbon and Will were cutting the brownie and putting it on plates.

“Holy shit. Why is the brownie so big?” Anthony looked genuinely concerned and looked at Will.

“Uhm. We made the biggest weed brownie we’ve ever seen?”

“Are we going to eat all of 1/4?” Anthony took a plate and looked at it.

“Yeah, obviously.” Hanbon nudged Anthony. “It’s okay because there’s like only a little bit of weed per person if we mixed it right.”

“Did you guys mix it right?”

“Obviously. Just eat your brownie.”

Hanbon began eating hers, Will and Coy followed and ate theirs too.

“Is this not the same concept as the HVAC video?”

“Uhm. No! We’re staying home and it’s a giant brownie.”

“Right.” Anthony said hesitantly, eating part of his brownie.

“And also we don’t have to guess who ate the weed brownie because we all did!” Hanbon placed the camera down in an angle that got all of them.

“Yeah, that too.”

“I’m done with my brownie.” Will smiled and wiped any crumbs off his mouth. “Do I have brownie on my face?”

“I’m done too!” Coy looked at Will and shook his head. “No, nothing on your stupid face.”

“Okay, that was just rude. Hanbon, Anthony, we’re waiting on you!”

Hanbon quickly finished her brownie and turned towards Anthony.

“Hurry up, pretend like it’s a normal brownie!”

“I would if it didn’t taste like shit.” Anthony muttered under his breath.

“We made that out of the kindness of my heart for us.” Hanbon looked towards Will. “Did you hear that?”

“What? No. Coy was being rude to me.” Will shook his head towards Coy, who was sticking his tongue out.

“Anthony’s being rude too! He said our brownie tasted like shit!”

Coy gasped sarcastically. “Should we handcuff Anthony again?”

“Anthony sucks!” Will said, looking at him. “I hate you.” Will whispered, loud enough that it was obvious it was for the bit.

“Okay, okay. I finished the brownie!”

“Wow. Do you want a cookie?” Coy mumbled, crossing his arms.

“No, I just ate a brownie.”

Hanbon turned the camera that she had towards her. “And now we wait for the brownie to kick in!”

“Do you guys wanna play the party games now? I’m kinda feeling it.” Anthony took the camera from Hanbon and placed it to where all of them were in frame.

“You are? That’s odd.” Hanbon was drinking a cup of coffee and looked at her list. “Well, the first party game I have on the list is would you rather.”

Will nodded instantly. “That’s a good one. We should do that one first!”

“Okay, I’ll go first!” Coy eagerly sat up.

Anthony looked over towards Coy and Hanbon and Will. “Say it already.” Anthony muttered, running a hand through his hair.

“Why do you have no patience?” Coy rolled his eyes and looked at the camera. “Okay, my question is, would you rather get to see who you end up with or change who you end up with but you can’t see who you originally would?”

“That’s a good one.” Hanbon nodded and thought for a couple seconds. “See who I end up with.”

Will was still thinking and sighed. “This one is difficult. Why did you start off with that?” He was silent for a moment. “But I’d see who I’d end up with, totally.”

“I don’t know what any of the words mean, can you tell me again?”

Holy fuck. That stupid brownie was catching up to him. Hanbon slightly pushed Anthony and showed a look of concern.

“Anthony, you good?” Hanbon’s brows creased. This wasn’t for the camera, she could tell the difference.

Anthony shook his head. “Yeah, yeah. I’m good. I just— I think this game is too philosophical,” Anthony slurred that last word and he sat back into the couch. “Let’s play a different game that I don’t have to think about much! Does that sound good?”

“Yeah.”

“Truth or dare? Is that fine?”

Hanbon looked to Will and Coy. They both nodded at the same time.

Hanbon decided she would go first. “I’ll go first, so, Will, truth or dare?”

“Truth!”

“If you had to switch places with one of us, who would you switch places with?”

“Uhm… I’d probably switch places with you. I wouldn’t want to be Coy. Or Anthony. Not Anthony for sure.”

“Why not me?” Coy scoffed, pretending like he was offended.

“I mean… just look at you!”

“What.”

Hanbon laughed at Coy’s expression, taking a sip of her drink. “Okay, who’s next?”

“Since I was asked, I’ll ask next. Coy, truth or dare?” Will angled his body towards Coy.

“Uh. Dare.”

“I dare you to text a guy in your phone.”

“Like, just anyone?”

“No, like… someone who you were interested in.” Will seemed pleased at the idea. “Or someone who was interested in you.”

Anthony made an indecipherable noise at that statement and sighed.

“What’s wrong with that, Anthony?”

“Mm. Nothing.” He took Hanbon’s cup of coffee and took a sip. “I’m fine.”

“Hey—“

Coy had already opened all his contacts and held his phone out. “Who should I text? There’s this one guy I met at a bar.”

“Yeah. Just someone we don’t know already.”

“Okay. I sent a text.”

Coy: heyyy sorry i didn’t text uu

Bar Boy: Hi?

Coy threw his phone aside. “He replied! Why did he reply so quickly—“ His phone hit Anthony, who didn’t look very interested in what was happening.

“Owwww…”

“Sorry. Can you read the texts to me?”

“Whatever.”

Bar Boy: What’s up?

“Do I text back?”

Coy was cringing really bad and shook his head, while Will was nodding eagerly.

“Oh. Oh. He’s calling.”

“He’s WHAT.”

“Calling?”

“Do not answer. Anthony, whatever you do—“

A: “Hello?”

Hanbon cringed when he answered.

“ANTHONY—“

B: “Hi, is this Coy?”

A: “No… my name is Anthony.”

B: “Oh. Sorry. I must have to wrong number.”

A: “You have the right number. Coy is… busy?”

B: “I’m sorry?”

A: “No— he’s not— I’m not gay, it’s just…”

A: “Coy, take your goddamn phone.

“No! Anthony—“

“Coy, take it, dude.”

B: “If I’m interrupting something, I can—“

A: “It’s not like that!”

C: “Hi?”

Coy’s face was red with embarrassment and he flipped off Anthony.

“Shut up, Coy.”

“Fuck you.”

Anthony moved off the couch to sit next to Hanbon and Will. He watched Coy take the phone call and sighed.
