Work Text:
Peter Parker never thought he could have this life. Sure, he yearned for it, but he always knew that it wasn't anything more than just a dream, a teenage wish.
But here he was... With the best fiancé, the one he always dreamt about. A man with striking blue eyes, hair dark as the midnight sky, a shy smile that, as it slowly widened, made the ice cold blue of his eyes melt completely, turning into a puddle of pure warmth and love. A man who understood perfectly the risks of his life, a man who he didn't need to lie to, because he knew. He knew, understood and even supported him.
Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne, the man of his dreams.
Peter even had his dream job. A position at Stark Insutries, being a known scientist at the age of twenty (thanks to graduating early), and a great one, too. But this never would've been possible if it wasn't for Tony.
Tony Stark, his mentor, his father figure.
Tony, who had Morgan and Pepper right beside him, the three of them being a perfect little family. And Peter, somehow, was a part of that, too. (He couldn't really pin point the exact moment he started being a part of them, but he was glad for it anyways. maybe it was one those things in life that were just meant to be.)
And of course, Aunt May. Who was healthy and happy as ever. Having completely re-built her life from the ashes of their past.
She scored a better position at the hospital, Happy finally proposed, and they both were now married, having the time of their lives just the two of them.
Saturday evenings were sacred.
Peter always spent them with only the five of them, playing board games, watching movies, eating junk or something home-made, depending on their moods.
With the exception of today, since Tim finally joined them.
It was the first time Timothy joined on the sacred Saturday, since he always respected the day as it was, a reunion, the only time the members of the little family got to relax and just be themselves. But since he practically was part of this family now, they invited the young adult to spend an evening with them.
After the first rounds of UNO, where tony clearly cheated, ("Oh, come on Pete! I'm not cheating, why would I be cheating? Also, you using your.." He says, waving his hand around as he explains himself, "peter tingle—"
"Tony, please don't call it that, it's embarassing—"
"—should be counted as cheating."
"You were saving cards inside your sleeves! I literally saw—"), they decided to change games, and instead play a simple, easy, round of parcheesi.
When they started getting hungry (read: mostly Peter), Aunt May and Pepper decided to start with dinner, Tony and Happy leaving the couch to accompany them in the kitchen, ("It's not burnt‐ It's just... well done." May exclaimed, looking at the, very much burnt, bread sticks.
"It's okay, lets just order in." Pepper stated, a reassuring smile on her lips.
"Italian?" Tony asked from the dinner table, already whisking his phone from his pocket.), leaving Tim and Peter alone with Morgan, who insisted on having a tea party in the living room.
Hours later, all of them were full, stomachs warm and bodies relaxed as they seated on the couches. Tony and Pepper with Morgan on the middle, Happy with an arm around May's shoulder, and in the love seat on the side of the couch, were Tim and Peter. The latter had his head on Tim's chest, the boy's arms wrapped around his waist, hands softly caressing his back. A disney movie was playing on the TV, voices randomly chiming in with a comment or a joke that made everyone at least chuckle.
But Peter's honey brown eyes drifted somewhere else.
"Hey, Baby?" Peter's hushed tone interrupted the comfortable silence between the couple, Tim humming as a response, blue eyes moving to lock into the mop of curls on his chest. "Don't you think that lamp looks kinda weird?"
Drake's eyes moved to the corner of the room, where an arched lamp sat, its warm light glistening a soft hue around the room.
He frowned, weirded out by the question, since the lamp looked quite.. normal. "What'chu talking about, honey? It looks normal to me."
"Huh." Peter mused, frowning at the lamp.
Since when was it there? Didn't it have a different design? Why did it have warm lightning when the whole room had a cold one? It didn't fit at all, but eventually, he shrugged his worries away. It was probably nothing, maybe Morgan had something to do with it. "Doesn't matter, it just seemed weird for a second." He said, eyes turning back to the TV, where the credits of the movie started rolling, there was a flicker on the screen, but Peter ignored it, blinking it away.
