Chapter Text
Scott sat laid back in the meeting room the massive castle. The castle was made of a dark stone with red, pointed roofs.
Looking around bored, as Scott’s fledglings talked about things that didn’t make sense to him, he noticed someone cowering around the castle. He silenced his fledglings, listening closely to the rustling coming from under the beacon. Tension filled the room as everyone figured out what was happening.
“Who are you?!” Avid shouted questioningly.
They all heard a small voice from under the beacon as the person revealed themselves,
”please don’t hurt me!”
Avid’s purple eyes dilated as he saw who came out from the hole.
A little girl dressed in a badly ripped red skirt and white blouse looked between all the vampires hoping they won’t lunge and attack her. Avid’s gaze softened recognising the small girl. Anxiously, the small girl’s purple and brown eyes continued to look around hoping they were trustworthy but still being cautious.
Avid ran towards the girl, she held out her sword in fear. He lifted his hands in defence.
“Ok, you’re a lot like your mother!” He says out of breath in a caring tone.
Realisation filled her eyes, “dad?”
The other vampires extanged confused glances.
“Does Avid know this girl, sire?” Pyro asked respectfully but with a slight edge to his voice.
“I assume so, considering what they said,” Scott replied, his eyes narrowing as he watched the duo in front of him.
Avid used his finger to lower the sharp blade being pointed at him. The little girl dropped her sword and jumped up to her father.
The sword made a massive clang as it hit the hard wood floor. Avid started to cry, knowing what had happened. The little girl stayed relaxed but also very vigilant as she wrapped her legs around her dad’s waist.
The other vampires looked over towards the pair now only slightly less confused. Scott smiled with slight emotion for the first time in six hundred years.
Whilst being wrapped around Avid, the girl inspected each one of the vampires trying to recognise one of them from her most previous coven, however, this was of no avail. But she did recognise one of them as someone that her previous coven had described as a friend.
The girl snuggled her face into her dad’s neck and noticed bite marks on his neck. She was taken aback by the marks then realised that he had been turned. Lethia sniffled, her dad was alive (well not really ALIVE but the details could wait) and real! She had spent so many sleepless nights thinking of him yet here he was. The sniffling turned into sobbing as she quietly hugged her dad - she couldn’t care less about the (interesting looking) vampires who were staring at her.
“Honestly, what’s the big deal?!” Pyro whispered but just loud enough for Scott, who was standing next to him, to hear.
Scott turned to look at Pyro with a look of annoyance
“Pyro come with me for a second,” Scott said grinding his teeth together.
The other vampires looked at Pyro, thinking what he could have done to make Scott THAT angry. “Pyro why would you say that?!”Scott exclaimed with a sickly sweet tone to his voice.
“I’m sorry sire,” Pyro muttered while slowly looking down and realising he’d gotten in quite a bit of trouble.
“That won’t cut it fledgling! You don’t know what Avid has gone through!” Scott says grabbing the collar of his shirt with a patronising growl.
Pyro threw his hands in the air “s-stop please! I’m sorry,” He trembles with fear as Scott’s grip tightens on his collar, Pyro’s face as white as a sheet.
“Don’t you ever say anything like that again - learn your place!” Scott growled with fury lacing his cold expression before pushing Pyro backwards, causing him to stumble rather pathetically. Pyro clings onto the bridges railing, panting heavily.
Scott stared at his fledgling with a look of
disappointment and power.
”I hope you learned your lesson if not then I might take it further…” Scott menaced, staring threateningly into Pyros brown wide eyes.
Pyros knees buckled beneath him making him fall down onto the hard stone of the bridge.
”I promise this won’t happen again!”Pyro squealed unable to make eye contact with
his sire.
“Look me in the eyes and say it!” Scott said coldly taking a step towards the scared vampire on the floor. Pyro looked in his sires eyes and tensed
“I promise it won’t happen again!” A tear ran down Pyro’s check. Scott walked inside the castle, muttering to himself,
”how pathetic.”
When he walked inside Lethia was hugging Avid’s waist as, Avid talked to the other vampires. Scott smiled and sat back down trying to look friendly and unthreatening after his (little) argument.
