House barged in Wilson's office, "Need you for a minute."
Wilson was talking with one of his patients, probably telling the poor guy's diagnosis and prognosis. Wilson was Head of oncology and regularly experienced House barging in on randomly during one of his consults. Wilson sighed, after all these years, House still hadn't learned the meaning of 'boundaries'.
He'd been married three times, yet somehow the longest relationship of his life was with House.
"I'm doing something House."
"Well don't care."
The guy slowly turned his head behind him, seeing the tall, limping doctor with a maniac glint in his eyes, and turned to look at Wilson.
"Who is this?" the guy whispered to Wilson.
"He's a Doctor, Excuse me." Wilson got up, and loomed closer towards House.
"What do you want now?"
A moment of silence occured. "Meet me in my office at 5." Wilson looked at him dumbfounded. He called me out of my consult to just tell me 'meet me at my office at 5?, what the..?'
House headed off towards the Cafeteria, grabbing a ,milk, and alfredo. He had Wilson's credit card and bought his food with his card. Wilson's going to be furious when he finds out.
"Ten dollars" the cashier announced. House tapped Wilson's card on the POS machine. The cashier handed him a paper receipt, he took it, shoved it into his pocket and grabbed a seat.
Ater the patient left, Wilson checked his phone. '10 dollars, deducted'
"What the hell?" He muttered. He stormed out of his office, knowing it was House who spent the money. He headed down to the cafeteria, spotting House in the corner. Smiling at him smuggly. Wilson hated how easy it was to find House in a crowded room, one glance across the cafeteria and his eyes landed on him almost immediately. It had been like that way for years.
"House what the hell?!, why did you use my credit card! you have your own!!" Wilson hissed.
"I was bored-." House looked at his watch
'5:19', 19 Minutes late from the meetup House causally announced, and a few minutes away from his office. Why did he want to talk with Wilson anyways in private?
"I have something to say, but not here."
"What?!, so looking at me smuggly was a trap to lure me into talking with you?"
"Yep, Fell right into my trap." House grabbed his cane which was propped up next to his chair and strode away from Wilson, Heading towards the lift. The elevator doors nearly closed until wilson until Wilson jammed his hand between the stainless steel panels, forcing them to groan open again. He marched inside, the breath knocked out of him, glaring at his best friend.
"Wow Jimmy, very bold" House said mockingly.
The elevator doors closed, House hummed. filling the empty silence and ignoring his bestfriend's intimidating gaze. The elevator doors opened, DING! House got out first, cane tapping loudly against the linoleum floor, Wilson followed him to his office.
The door clamped shut. House settled down at his spinning chair, Wilson put both his hands on his hips, definitely fed up. Well obviously.
House drummed his fingers against the armrest, Wilson frowned. House never fidgeted.
"Are you dying?"
"No." House said bluntly.
"Then why are you acting so weird?"
"There's something i need to tell you."
"Okay.. What is it?"
"Nevermind..."
"House."
"Fine, there's something i need to confess..."
"Confess? yeah, and so spit it out now since you've been stalling and annoying me from the start of the day."
"Look don't get me wrong b-"
"House can you just spit it out like a normal person?!, stop stalling me!" Wilson exclaimed loudly.
"Fine, I like you." House announced it so casually, it sounded he practiced saying the words "I like you." for this situation.
Wilson blinked, convinced House had to be joking. He studied his face, looking for the familiar smirk, the telltale glint that meant a prank was coming. There was nothing. He laughed, House didn't. The smile slowly disappeared from Wilson's face.
House was serious.
"I like you." House repeated.
Wilson stared at him.
"Since when-?"
"A while."
Wilson looked at him skeptical, "Define 'a while-?'
"Before your third divorce, who was it? Julie right?"
"House you're joking right? it's pride month so im assuiming this is a prank to get under my skin?" Wilson scoffed.
"No, not this time." House spun in his chair for a second.
"Y-you're serious-?"
"Yes."
He suddenly stood up, taking his cane too (ofc) and moved closer towards Wilson, eyes gleaming with possession.
"H-House w-what are you doing-" Wilson fell over his words, He has never seen House like this at all, not even while drunk.
House stepped closer, closing the gap between him and Wilson. And KISSED him.
Wilson was astounded. Well he should be, He never knew his bestfriend was into him - or in anyone, especially males. House really never had a type, it was Stacy first, then some hooker named 'Emily', They weren't really like Girlfriends/Boyfriends but she was the closest to one.
The kiss lingered for a few minutes, House was testing the waters and Wilson kissed him back .
(omg yaoi)
Hands were everywhere, House's hands climbing down to Wilson's waist, Wilson's hands finding its way towards House's Hair, nothing really to grip but its an intimate touch, so we'll let that slide. (wink) Deep inside, Wilson was actually gay. No one ever knew that, even his ex-wives but he actually had a one month relationship with a random dude back in med school.
House pulled back slightly. "Lets be together Wilson, do you want that?" he questioned his bestfriend. "Yes-" Wilson smiled, "I've wanted too House, ever since you bailed me out of jail 6 years ago. Never thought about it ever since now.
"If you're happy Jimmy, im happy too" House smiled, a part revealed. Nothing like what people imagined House would be. Everyone knew he was a jerk, pushed away people who loved him, like Cameron, never knew how to love. No one has ever seen this part of House, But now... Someone had.
Wilson kissed him again. not embarrassed but proud and free now. House kissed him back too. How would they work this relationship now?House held Wilson's hand, their fingers interlocking. Alot of plans would come thier way, many obstacles and silly fights would happen, but who cares? Love is Love. And that was final for them.
"So..."
"So?"
"Does this mean i get access to your credit card permanently?"
"Shut up." Wilson groaned.
A few months later...
House and Wilson were official, everyone knew, house's team, Cuddy, all the department heads, and even both House's and Wilson's patients. Every now - and often, Cuddy or the pharmacist at level 2 would occasionally ask Wilson how things are going between him and House. They would never ask House since if they ever asked him that, House would definitely report to HR stating: 'People are putting their noses in other peoples business, especially me.''
Suprisingly, nothing much had changed.
House still stole Wilson's food.
He stole Wilson's credit card.
He forged Wilson's signature to get his prescriptions.
And he barged into Wilson's office whenever he was bored or when he felt like it.
The only difference that chaned was that now House occasionally kissed Wilson before doing it.
One year later...
Wilson checked his bank account.
$5,647 deducted
"HOUSE!!"
He barged in House's office. Wilson was fuming, Why did he even spend almost 5k on something? What even costed $5,647?!
House slid a receipt across his desk, Wilson's eyes's darted at his hand towards the slightly crumpled receipt.
It was a receipt for an engagement ring. House is proposing?
"And you used my card to pay."
"Technically our card."
"Was that a proposal?"
"It depends, are you saying yes?"
House reached for his pocket and pulled out a dark-red velvet ring box. Wilson's breath caught in his throat. House flipped the box opened, revealing a silver ring inside, the ring's natural glow beamed against Wilson's eye.
"So.." House cleared his throat, "Will you marry me?"
Wilson froze, for a moment he just stared at the ring, then at House, then back at the ring again. Out of all the things he had expected to happen today, this wasn't on the list.
"House..." His voice cracked slightly.
House shifted awkwardly.
"If you're going to reject me, do it quickly. Standing here being vulnerable is giving me hives."
Wilson laughed despite himself. His eyes stung.
"Yes, you idiot", a warm smile spread across both their faces, warm and genuine.
"Of course I'll marry you."
Before House could say anything else, Wilson stepped forward and cupped his face with both hands, and kissed him. House kissed him back immediately, one hand settling around Wilson's waist while the other almost dropped the ring.
When they pull back, Wilson laughed.
"You almost dropped the ring."
"I was distracted."
"By what?"
"You."
"Can i finish proposing now?"
Wilson laughed.
"Go ahead."
House took the ring from the box and carefully slipped it onto Wilson's fingers. It fit perfectly. Wilson stared at House and at the ring."
"You measured my finger?"
"When you were asleep, you sleep like a rock."
Wilson chuckled and kissed House, they lived happily ever and they had 3 kids and named them Chase, Cameron, and Foreman.
Maybe because one of them was blonde, one brunette, and one who looked a bit like Foreman. (what??)
