History Remembers Names

Summary:

After the death of her daughter, Princess Rhaenys Velaryon Targaryen looked to her legacy.

On one hand stood three boys with dark hair and even darker eyes. On the other stood two girls with dark skin, moon-touched hair and the blood of House Velaryon running plainly through their veins.

The choice seemed obvious.

Princess Rhaenys Velaryon Targaryen would petition the Iron Throne, no pretender would sit the Driftwood Throne.

She wins.

Some victories are indistinguishable from defeat.

But history only remembers names.

Notes:

Here there are a few things that will change to keep things in order.
1. There was no claiming of Vhagar. she died or flew off or something. so no eye was lost.
2. Rhaenys has dark hair and purple eyes, the other velaryons can keep the skin colour.
3. I hate the Velaryons and haven't found enough Rhaenys bashing fics.
