Chapter Text
I sat on the bed in the guest room Sonia and Rauru, who looked like a goat in my opinion, had provided for me. I held the Yiga Slate close to my chest.
"That stupid mummy, hurting MY Right Hand.." I muttered to myself. Zelda, Link, Sooga, and I had gone underneath the castle, and found these old murals, and then went deeper and found two tear-shaped stones, Secret Stones, which Zelda and I had taken, and a mummy, held down by two gray hands and surrounded by green light.
Until it wasn't.
The mummy somehow freed itself, and attacked us with Gloom. Link and Sooga had blocked the attack with their blades, and the blades had shattered. Including the Master Sword, which should have been impossible. Sooga's left arm, along with Link's right arm, had decayed.
The mummy had taunted them, saying a sword that shattered so easily could not possibly defeat him.
He had then used his Gloom to lift Hyrule Castle out of the ground, and a chasm had opened.
Zelda and I fell first. Sooga and Link jumped into the chasm, and tried to catch us, but before they could, Zelda and I had disappeared in a flash of golden light.
Now we were in Ancient Hyrule, with no way back to our era, unless one wished to swallow their Secret Stone and become an immortal, mindless beast. A dragon.
I opened the Yiga Slate. Sooga had put hundreds of voice recordings on her. Some to help when I was stressed or anxious, others were just him doing the banana reports, since I told him that his voice helped me sleep.
I went to the voice recordings, and started scrolling through them, then picked a random one.
[Input Password]
I stared at the screen for a moment. Not a single other voice recording required a password.
What had Sooga said?
"Glory to the Yiga" I said to myself, inputting that as the password.
[Access Denied. Incorrect Password]
"WHAT!?" I yelled, slapping the Yiga Slate. That should have worked!
"Glory to the Master" I said, inputting that.
[Access Denied. Incorrect Password]
I stared at the screen of the Yiga Slate.
"Sooga, what in banana's name did you use as the password?" I muttered.
I inputted my birthday.
[Access Denied. Incorrect Password]
The day he became my Right Hand.
[Access Denied. Incorrect Password]
His birthday?
[Access Denied. Incorrect Password]
"What could the password possibly- oh." I started to say, when another idea came to me. Perhaps, it was the day we first met. I was sixteen, the new Master of the Yiga Clan after my father died, though I had no love for him since he abused the Clan. I was with the Footsoldiers, when a starving boy, just a year younger than me, approached, asking for food. The Footsoldiers had attacked, and I, the stupendous Chief of the Yiga Clan, Master Kohga!, had commanded they stop, then gave the boy a banana.
I inputted the date of the day we first met.
[Access Granted. Playing Recording]
"Yes!" I said, doing a pose before realizing no one was watching. The recording started to play.
"Master Kohga, if you are listening to this... then I gave you the password. Or, you guessed it. Probably the second one. I have admired you for many years, Master Kohga, since the day we met. My loyalty has always been to you, and you alone. Though, more than my loyalty belongs to you. I... have always admired you, and have been fond of you. While I know it is unlikely you will ever reciprocate these feelings, for I am just the shadow to your glorious light... I love you. Glory to the Yiga, and Glory to you, Master Kohga."
I stayed quiet for a few moments, processing what I just heard.
"You stupid idiot." I whispered to myself. Why didn't he tell me? Now, I was stuck in the past, and he was hurt, or worse!
I started crying, hugging the Yiga Slate. There had to be a way back to him. There had too.
He was my Right Hand, and I wasn't going to loose him again.
I replayed the recording. I needed to hear his voice again.
