Work Text:
Kevin can see him as he looks towards the water’s edge. He’s hard to miss - the sunlight bounces of his bright bleached blond hair, reflecting a pure, mirror-like glare. It hurts to look at him, but Kevin can’t stop. Squinting is only a mild, temporary discomfort. Jakob’s worth that. Jakob’s worth more than that.
Kevin’s mind and heart race, although he still looks and acts like a graceful swan on the surface. He looks to Jakob, and breathes: feeling as calm as he looks, he allows the water to carry him.
For Jakob is a lighthouse that guides Kevin home.
