Seven years is slightly longer than the average lifespan of a manga series in a monthly magazine, it is two years longer than school lasted, it is a period in which a child can be born, learn to walk, and enter first grade; for Agott, however, these seven years were the sole reality on which her life had rested from the very day when she, a graduate of a design college, brought the storyboard of the first chapter to the editorial office in Akihabara, and Coco, then still a junior editor, leafed through the pages and said she had never read anything better in her life.
