Work Text:
The air is cool tonight, and Jay and Tim are outside watching the sunset. The cool breeze whisps through their hair, their bodies shivering in sync.
Tim's fingers find their way to Jay's hair, the thick flesh combing through the short, brown strands.
Jay's eyes flutter shut, his shoulders relaxing as Tim's fingers trail their way through his hair. He pulls his legs up to his chest, relaxing them once he wraps his arm around them.
Tim smiles, pressing a tender kiss to Jay's temple. It's sweet and loving, nothing compared to when Tim was rough and on the edge of hurting someone.
He's way calmer like this.
"I love you so much, Jaybird," Tim's voice is soft, loving, careful. It's different when it was raspy and sarcastic.
"I love you too, Tim," Jay's blue eyes sparkle as he stares at his beloved, his eyes tracing over each feature the man has.
They sit like that for a few hours, chatting and getting to know each other a bit better despite what they've been through. The pair then heads inside for bed.
The night ended after Tim had his arms wrapped around Jay and him repeating the action.
