Work Text:

The ninja were all training in a large open field, it was not that far from the city. Maybe an hours walk?

Maybe that is far. . . But it really was the closest field they could go to. All the over ones were private property.

None of them had on their ninaj Gi, they just looked like normal teenagers. Well, everyone would be able to tell who this group was no matter how close or far away they were anyways.

There the 'outcasts', the ones who decided to be friends with the number one villains son. A son who has done nothing but try to survive life. Try to survive a life where we has done nothing wrong but. . .

Live.

How is that fair?

How is that legal?

It's not.

But the police don't care. How is that legal?

The police are supposed to help civilians in there time of need. But, apparently, Lloyd is one of the only exceptions.

Lloyd's been threatened, bullied, attacked, pushed, jumped.

Heck, he had been spiked.

When he went to the hospital they didn't care, not as much as they should had anyway. It took them nearly over 8 hours to finally treat Lloyd, even though he was one of the first people which was in the A&E.

They didn't care.

He was sat in the waiting room with Cole and Jay, they went to a cafe to get some drinks. They had all quickly went to the bathroom needing a piss.

While they were gone somone must have been watching them, watching Lloyd. His drink was the only which had been tampered with.

When they had sat back down they got back to talking. Lloyd has took a sip off his drink and after a minute he said he was feeling dizzy then he had a seizure.

Jay had one before 2 years ago so Cole recognised instantly what was happening.

Afterwards they had rushed him to the hospital, Lloyd had woken up as soon as he was sat down in the hospital. Feeling dizzy and confused, he asked what had happened.

Which Cole slowly explained so Lloyd could understand.

"You had a seizure." Cole said calmly holding Lloyd's hand, rubbing reassuring circles into it. Lloyd nodded at that.

"W-weren't we with Jay?" Lloyd asked quietly, Cole had to strain his ears to hear him clearly.

"Yeah. . . He's trying to get a doctor." Cole replied, voice tinted with sadness. Lloyd closed his eyes and hummed in response.

Jay had soon came back and looked annoyed but also sad and glum. Not like his usual self.

Cole turned his head to him and perked up, until he saw his face. "No luck?" Cole questioned.

Jay shook his head. "They won't even listen." He started, "Its like they don't care, Cole.

Cole felt the room wash over with a grey tint, "This is there job. Why aren't they doing anything?" He softly whispered, he was the only one who heard himself.

Lloyd suddenly winced, then jolted forward and doubled over. He had his arms crossed, fingers digging into his elbows harshly.

He started gagging then softly crying. Cole rubbed his back instead while also keeping Lloyd from not falling over onto the floor.

Lloyd soon after started to throw up into a small bowl which Jay had put near him as soon as he started gagging.

Lloyd's eyes strayed to droop, then quickly clenched shut again as he threw up liquid after liquid.

It was just meant to be a fun hangout, just the three of them. So why did it have to be this. . ?

Jay was trying to look at anything but the throw up swimming around in the bowl.

The fact that Lloyd protected the whole city, day in and day out, but couldn't even get medical treatment.

Sure, they don't know that he's the green ninja but still. It stung.

The green ninaja did everything he could to help everyone. But as soon as he became Lloyd, a normal teenager, whose done nothing wrong.  Apart from be born apparently, he's getting threatened?

How is that fair!

Oh yeah, it's not.

Lloyd could hardly get a breath from how much he was constantly hurling.

"I- it" Lloyd coughed, he could barely even breathe. Yet he needed to say something. "Hu-hurts!"

He was crying- no. Sobbing

Cole looked up at Jay worried. This wasn't good. Not in the slightest.

"Your going to be okay," Jay muttered near Lloyd so he could hear him. "Okay?"

Lloyd nodded softly, despite the fact that it wasn't right now, and probably knew that it wouldn't be for awhile.

He needed all the convincing he could get.

He would rather believe he was okay then know that he wasn't.

When the doctor's finally came, finally realising they had a job to do.

They took Lloyd on a stretcher due to he fact he was asleep, which was probably for the best anyways.

He had been spiked, had a seizure. Then repeatedly threw up. He just needed his rest.

Sure, the doctor's did there job but they always glared at Lloyd like he was  disgusting. The worst person they had ever met. But that wasn't the case.

They hadn't met Lloyd. The only people who had was the ninja and his mum. They know he sometimes cries himself to sleep wanting a normal life. They know he's grabbed the knife and sliced.

They know he's hurting.

He's endured so much neglect, so much abuse from people to the point its normal for him.

If that was anyone else? The police would be doing all they could.

Everything and anything to help.

But when Lloyd asked for the police to help they did nothing, he explained in pure detail about everything which had happended. All the threats. Everything!

But they never helped.

They let the case go cold.

Lloyd had slowly after that given up on the police because no matter what he tried they did nothing.

The doctor's treated him sure, but their attitude was disgusting.

The acted like it was all Lloyd's fault for being in the hospital. They spoke harshly. God- what was wrong with them?

When they had told the three what had happended when Lloyd was fully awake and aware. He visibly flinched at what they said. How could someone do that?

How could someone spike another person?

Cole and Jay were pissed, you could see on their face they were pissed.

When the doctor's had left the room Lloyd sat up, legs hanging off the bed.

He started at his hands like they knew the answers to life.

Water started to appear in the corners of his eyes and he wiped them away but they came back anyway.

"Wh- what have I even d-done to them?" Lloyd whimpered. His hands covering his face like a shield.

Jay and Cole sat next to him on the bed. Jay put a soft hand onto Lloyd's leg, like if any harsher he would break.

Maybe he would.

"It's not your fault," Cole whispered softly. Lloyd rested his head on Cole shoulder his head now buried into his arm while his hands went around is body like a tight blanket.

"T- then why does it feel li- like it is?" Lloyd asked shakily, voice slightly muffled.

Lloyd knew deep, deep down that it wasn't. But overtime, it started to feel like it was even more.

He would never be like his father, he knew this. But god. Why does everyone (apart from the people who care) treat him like his dad?

No. They treat him worse.

They know they can't take their anger out on Garmadon so they treat him worse. They use him as a punching bag, something useless and unimportant which can get thrown away after usage.

Lloyd hated it.

But he would never stand up for himself. If he did, he would be told he was becoming his father. He once even got suspended from school for accidentally nudging someone a little bit.

Even though it wasn't his fault for anything. He would always believe it was because that was the lie he had been raised up.

Not from his mum or friends ofcourse. But from everyone else.

"Oh Lloyd. . ." Jay said softly. Even he had tears welling up in his eyes.

"Its not true." Cole butted in, "It never will be, okay?" Lloyd nodded.

Cole and Jay both hugged him tightly, a warm embrace. A comforting one.

"I just want it to end."

Lloyd mumbled. No one heard or maybe they did, they didn't need to though. They had know how he felt for ages.

One day. They'll put a stop to it.

The threats, the everything.

They promise.
