Chapter Text
Zaki never listened in class, why bother when he could just get notes off Tamon or force
Eugene to teach him the day before a test.
Today like usual he was looking out the window and admiring the misty grey view in front of him, wondering if he should've brought an umbrella not listening to anything the teacher had to say.
Suddenly he was confused when he looked up, and saw people start shuffling around the room
and heard the squeak of chairs move.
Zaki turned to where his friend Tamon sat and saw him swing his bag over his shoulder and walked towards him with a bright smile on his face. At least Tamon could explain what the teacher said while Zaki was distracted by the weather and his stupid umbrella
“What's going on, why is everyone moving around?” he asked Tamon who started to unpack his stuff onto the desk next to Zaki.
“Dude you need to start listening im tired of explaining stuff to you” a laugh came out his voice as he reprimanded him.
“Yeah, yeah whatever just explain, please.” He looked up at Tamon with a pleading, puppy dog look in his eyes, he knew the boy would tell him anyway but what's the harm in annoying him with eye contact.
However Tamon just paused and an awkward silence filled the air between them. The green haired boy just kept staring with a blank look on his face.
“Tamon are you listening, what are we supposed to do?”
“Huh oh yeah sorry” he said while shaking his head side to side and continued to unpack his items.
Zaki came to the conclusion that he was probably just nervous because of the eye contact, even though he usually doesn't have a problem looking at Zaki, eye contact is still a relatively new thing for Tamon so he already started to forget about it.
Tamon started to explain the project the boys had to do that was due over the course of two weeks.
“Cant we just leave it until the last day? i have so much manga to read and we’ve been getting so many customers” Zaki said while dragging his head onto the table and closing his eyes.
Two seconds after he felt Tamon bring his head up while pinching onto his ear. “Ow let go that hurts” Zaki exclaimed, swinging his arms around just like a cat in water.
“Not until you start helping me research, you'll have time for phantom busting and reading manga after the 2 weeks. this project will bring up our grade so start working” Tamon eventually released his grip on Zaki’s ear.
“Fine but you owe me dinner or something because im helping” he puffed out with a pout on his face as he started to move around and help Tamon.
“Hey i dont owe you anything, in that case you should owe me for not letting you fail,” Tamon said while poking Zaki in the side, trying to hide the obvious grin on his face.
Zaki knew Tamon was trying to rile him up. Did he still fall for it? Yes of course he did.
They continued to bicker for half the class, forgetting about the work Tamon wanted to do, until the boys suddenly realized how loud they were being. Trying to ignore the stares they were getting from classmates they finally began working for the rest of the class.

After a long day of class and school work Tamon can finally relax while he walks home with his friends.
He looks up and sees Mogari and Eugene walking ahead talking about something he can't quite hear. Zaki’s on his left and the two walk in comfortable silence with Zaki leaning against Tamon.
Zaki usually is very touchy with the other boy and Tamon isn't upset about it.
It's usually small things like Zaki draping his arm across Tamon's shoulder, sitting so close to each other in karaoke that their thighs are squished together or the grey haired boy running a hand through Tamon's hair.
At first Tamon got flustered whenever Zaki would touch him and would freeze under his touch but as time passed he slowly warmed up to it and got used to it realizing it was how Zaki showed he cared since he wasn't the best with words.
Giving him hugs when he was stressed or linking their arms together to make sure Tamon knew Zaki was there, it was all to show he cared.
On the other hand, what he didn't get used to was the eye contact.
At first he would practice with Zaki and he got better at maintaining eye contact with his club members. It was especially easy with Zaki as he had the most radiant eyes he had ever seen, Tamon could get lost in the grayish purple hue of his eyes.
But as time passed and he started to gain more than friendly feelings for the other boy it was a lost cause trying to look at him for more than thirty seconds.
Especially when he has that cute look on his face, like today in class when Zaki pulled that face that made him look like a puppy looking for warmth he wanted to take care of just to annoy Tamon but all he did was act like an idiot in front of the other boy and stare at him.
While Tamon was lost in thought thinking about how he embarrassed himself Zaki calls out his name
“Hey Tamon, do you wanna come over to mine tomorrow after school so we can work on that project?”
“Yeah, but we should actually concentrate this time though instead of fighting”
Zaki pretends to think for a second then answers “Hm ill see depends on how nice you are to me”
They both laugh and continue to follow the other two boys while talking about whatever's on their mind.

Later that day when they are about to go to sleep and one thinks of a certain green haired boy while the other thinks of a grey haired one with vibrant eyes, it's no one's business but theirs.
