Alfonso was born on December 25 2017, a gift born out of a drunk incident. Nico had wanted to abort it, simply because he wasn’t stable enough for a child. Marc dealing with his own problems wasn’t told until the 5th week. While Marc had thought it was better they aborted the child, he also knew the child was the consequence of their actions. In the end Nico chose to keep the child, and Marc had agreed with whatever decision Nico made. It wasn’t his decision, not when he wasn’t the one with the womb
Were their family shock? Very much so. Marc got a huge scolding from his parents, they have had enough with Valentino as it is. And finding out their eldest son had instead got an omega pregnant had made mostly Marc’s mother angry. Marc had explained to Nico in a call while laughing, Nico had noticed that it was quite light, Marc had explained his mother was more worried for Nico than caring about a child born out of wedlock. Nico never cared about society social cultures, hence why an omega like him raced in f1. Marc had explained his mother was worried Marc was aggressive with Nico, Marc’s mother had lots of trust that Marc didn’t force himself on an omega, which Nico knows he won’t do that. Marc is aggressive, yes? Annoying like Sebastian? Yes. But he also had respect for omegas and won’t do anything like that.
Nico’s own parents were worried for his own mental health, after all the championship almost killed him. And they didn’t trust him much to take care of a baby when he can’t even take care of himself. When asking about the father, Nico could hear the disappointment which was gone when Nico said it wasn’t Lewis. Nico had felt a bit irritated thinking about Lewis and the fact his parents would’ve disapproved of the baby if Lewis was the father. Keke sensing his son had explained flatly that they would’ve been disappointed if the baby’s father was Lewis. Because simple of a fact, Nico and Lewis are not stable together, the time they race as teammates prove it. And that Keke prefer a child born in a stable home with parents who can get along. Nico had argued with his parents over it. But now looking back at it, Nico can understand why his father was so angry at the prospect of his grandchild born in an unstable home.
Marc remembered the day Alfonso was born. December 25th. Quite fitting, Marc was 24, he had a great year. Winning his 4th championship and his son being born, Marc was admittedly stupid and dumb dazed as he look at his son. The first thing out of his mouth was commenting how fat the baby is, which earned him a slap on the head by his mother. Nico’s father was in the room, staring at Marc clearly still hesitating not that Marc blamed him. Back then he would’ve felt irritated being so judged at, but now holding his own child.
He thinks of what he as a father would feel if Alfonso as an omega conceived a child with an alpha, Alfonso himself doesn’t know well. An alpha with a record like Marc’s, Marc felt tempted to punch that alpha but then he realized he would’ve punch himself in the end. He really admired the fact Keke can be so professional- or it’s only because Nico is in the room. Marc let his mother hold the baby, as he went to grab food for Nico, the least he can do for the omega who gave birth to his chubby baby

Alex watch his 5 year old nephew in the go kart leading by a large margin. Alex wearing a mask and hat, but he supposed people in Singapore most likely don’t know him much, as MotoGP isn’t popular here. Which Alex finds it a good thing. Alfonso finishing the race whined to him, complaining how slow the karts are and why he can’t compete in the big leagues. Alex only listened, growing up with Marc he 100% felt that Alfonso is more like Marc as a kid. A kid who wines and when explained something whines more. And Alex thinks he has already enough of his older brother’s whining, a shame Alfonso isn’t like Nico more, perhaps it is genetics. Alfonso looks more like Marc, dark brown hair, his skin tone lighter, and his eyes brown but his right one shines more blue when hit by the light in a correct angle. Alex will ask Nico that when they head back to the hotel.
With Nico working as a pundit for Sky sports, Alex had dropped by Singapore to spent time with his nephew. He loves Alfonso, Marc was busy mentally recovering from his terrible season. And had sent gifts with Alex to give to Alfonso, Alex had reluctantly brought them muttering about being his errand boy. So when Nico chatted him telling him Alfonso was awake, Alex took him to spent time around Singapore the whole day, now it’s night, the Singapore GP was lively as Alex can see from a distance. Hearing Alfonso talking about his dream to race, Alex wondered if that even is possible. From what Alex can see, Alfonso could be an alpha like Marc, or a tall omega. Alfonso is definitely an aggressive driver, is that Nico had said he prefer if Alfonso never races in any category. Being the son of a world champion, Nico knew the pressure and how the media would be, and Marc had agreed with Nico. He didn’t want Alfonso’s whole life being tied to his parents or the fact his alpha father had clash with Valentino Rossi. And Marc was worried due to the Italian media mostly.
Alfonso’s name was complicated. Legally on the broth certificate, Nico rosberg is his omega parent and Marc Marquez is his alpha parent. But his full legal name is Alfonso Oscar Rosberg-Alentà, Marc was the one who suggested using Atlentà instead of Marquez. It was to protect Alfonso from the media. Nico was already facing his own troubles with the media and piling Marc’s media attention, the articles and hate from his clash with Valentino. Marc didn’t want to cause more problems for Nico or their son. Alex knows full heartily his older brother loves his son, while Nico and Marc never got together they co parent well, help each other at times.
Like recently, when Marc was healing from an injury, Nico came by and made food while bringing Alfonso along to let Marc be able to spend time with his son. And Alex knows Marc sends large amounts of money not only for Alfonso but also Nico, Marc had explained a few weeks after Alfonso was born. That Nico had turn down Marc’s offer of Marc being financially responsible for both of them, Nico had actually gotten angry at him asking if he thought he was some trad omega. Alex was quite amused thinking the mental image of Marc being scolded like a dog, thinking now. People probably expect Marc to be the fun parent, when in the opposite. Nico was the strict parents when it comes to academics but is quite weak to Alfonso’s demands. Marc is the strict parent all around, tho he also is weak to Alfonso. It’s usually Alex who would have to remind them to actually give out proper punishments. Some parts of Alex wanted Nico and Marc to get together, because he didn’t want Valentino in the picture. His brother really loves older men.
Nico’s son, Alfonso is not a secret. It’s public, what is a secret to the outside is his face, as Nico is very adamant on keeping privacy. Jenson has met Alfonso a few times, when he was a baby, a toddler, and now whatever this stage is. Well he was one of the first to be told, I mean who else would Nico tell seeing as most people on the grid or used to be don’t even talk to him. Like the outside world, Jenson also was not told the other parent, Nico insisted on avoiding the subject.
So Jenson concluded Nico must’ve had Alfonso by accident and the child’s father is a deadbeat. Jenson frown at the thought, Alfonso looks more like the other parent no doubt, because Jenson can’t see much of Nico’s features outside of the pout and nose. Jenson feels like he has seen that face, but knowing this is Nico’s son for some reason make his brain turn to seeing Nico’s face even tho, Alfonso barely has any of Nico’s features. Jenson shook his head- too much thoughts. It hurts his brain dwelling on it.
If someone had told Toto that Nico would retire after winning the championship then the next year, have a son? He would’ve believed it. If he was told the baby wasn’t Lewis’ he would’ve believed it less. Sure whatever they had going on seems unhealthy but they seemed quite happy before, and Toto believed they would’ve patch things up when Nico retired. But now that child sitting in the Mercedes garage looking nothing like Lewis was proof that maybe, Christian was right about him being delusional just as delusional of him thinking max would join Mercedes now with Red Bull so dominant. Ah fuck Christian. Toto is sick of hearing that man’s voice in his head, feels like banging his head on the desk.
Lewis on the other hand avoided the child completely. Of course kept being nice, even as Alfonso went up to him asking for an autograph clearly a fan of him. Lewis gave it and took a photo with him, but he left immediately after politeness. Toto frown a bit, he gets Lewis might not like Nico, but acting that way to a child is ridiculous. When that child has nothing to do with whatever Nico and Lewis had in the past. Toto got up to follow Lewis into the hallway. Tapping on his shoulder and gesturing for him to follow him to his office.

Toto stopped walking as they entered the office and sat down on the chair. Gesturing for Lewis to sat across from him. Lewis sighed and sat down.
Toto finally spoke up “What was that?” disappointment in his tone
Lewis met his eyes “what was what?” His tone clearly trying to play dumb
Toto frown “that. You know what, you can’t act like that to the child, Lewis. He didn’t do anything wrong”
Lewis grip the arm rest trying to keep his playful calm act “I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I kept polite and respectful-“
“But you act so much like a robot, Alfonso looked hurt and he clearly is a fan of yours.” Toto feels like he’s reprimanding a child who didn’t get his way
“My bad, I guess. I didn’t mean too”
“Did you really not mean too? Because it seems like you didn’t but wanted to not interact with him”
“…”
”Lewis, if there’s something wrong, you should say it.”
“Toto, how would it feel if the child of your ex teammate, your childhood best friend, and the person you thought was the love of your life has a child. And that other guy’s face is on that child?” Lewis’ tone shifted, irritated his alpha scent spiked but Toto heard his tone sounded like panic
“Lewis, how long had you felt like this? God. Did you tell anyone?”
“How? How do I explain this?” Lewis ended up crying in that office while spilling all his thoughts to Toto. If Toto would’ve known it was this bad. He would’ve helped Niki in forcing them to at least talk it out…he should ask a favor from Christian and ask for that therapist’s number that helped Max in his early years.
