Work Text:
The first thing Mualani noticed was the cold, everywhere. The weather was cooler than in Natlan, and the wiew missed its characteristic bright warm colors. She saw pinks, blues, purples. Her horizon was brown rocks covered in indigo grass, plants with teal and amethyst leaves, and azur waters reflecting the clear sky, letting her wonder if it was why Kokomi dressed like that.
She couldn't stop admiring the scenery as Kokomi led her to a palace made in shells and corals in the center of Watatsumi island. It was breathtakingly beautiful, though she didn't missed the way her lover was greeted by everyone they saw on the road with respect, love, and admiration.
This new world unfolded before her eyes, with buildings she never saw, clothes she never imagined and cultures she wanted to taste.
- I can ask a room to be prepared for you, but I figured you'd be fine sleeping with me. There's more than enough space.
She followed Kokomi into the shrine, slightly afraid to actually walk on coral. She never saw shells so big, it was amazing.
“Perfect for me. Am I gonna be there all week ? It's so beautiful here.”
Only a chuckle answered her.
