Summary
She rushed him and knocked the shaft of his weapon aside with her sword. The move was so unexpected that Lohen's eyes widened. She slipped past the blade while knocking his weapon out of his reach. Before he could recover his guard, she surged forward and struck with the pommel of her sword.
The heavy metal butt of the hilt cracked sharply against his mouth. Lohen's head snapped to the side. When he reoriented himself, a thin line of red had appeared on his now swollen lower lip. Blood welled where the skin had split open.
Lumine lowered her sword. For a moment, Lohen stood there in dazed silence, then he reached up and touched his mouth. He stared at it, then lifted his gaze back to hers. He looked delighted. Absolutely delighted, that she'd hit him in the mouth hard enough to split it. His pink tongue flicked out to briefly prod the new cut in his lip.
"Very good, Honorary Knight." He smiled, flashing his pearly whites. "I think I'm starting to like you."
