   Summary

   After risking his only chance to return to Earth to save Rocky, Ryland Grace chooses to follow his best friend home to Erid. The journey from Tau Ceti is expected to take 3.7 years of ship time.
   But 2.5 years into the trip, they encounter a strange cloud of liquid drifting through interstellar space.
