Work Text:
That was one long elevator ride… Leon still heard a loud ringing in his ears, and his vision was fading now. The elevator door opened, and Luis was there. He said something, but Leon wasn’t too sure what was said. It took all Leon’s strength to just step out of the elevator. Luis stepped closer, putting a hand on Leon’s shoulder. Leon muttered something real quiet, then immediately fell. The next thing he knows, he’s sitting.
The ringing in Leon’s ears stopped, and his vision became normal. He looked up to meet eyes with a worried Luis. “Dios mío… You okay?” Luis said, looking closer at Leon’s eyes. Leon nodded. His pupils were real small… “Right, you're totally, completely fine. Not like you’re about to turn or anything.” Luis spoke through gritted teeth, looking a bit angry. “And you’re out here killing zombies, knowing you’re about to turn into one!…” Luis added, about to go on a rant. Leon smiled, “You act like my grandma.” Luis didn’t smile once.
“Im serious, you could’ve just called me and told me to go find Ashley myself, so you could’ve rested.” Luis said, before checking Leon’s pulse. “The parasite’s spreading. I can see it on your neck now.” Luis mumbled, opening the container he had. “Those are suppressants?…” Leon asked, hand shaking unconsciously. “Yes. They're not just suppressants, they’re somewhat of an antibiotic, trying to fight the parasite. It’ll give you more time, so we can get Ashley and then go back to my lab.” Luis spoke. Leon nodded, noticing that his left hand was shaking. He held his hand to stop it from shaking. Luis took one of the suppressants out of the container and held it to Leon. Leon grabbed it and used it. “That should give you about 3 more hours before you turn.” Luis chimed. “I’ve never heard you sound this professional before, Dr Serra…” Leon said, chuckling. “¡No me digas! Hah, you hardly know me, Agent Leon S Kennedy…” Luis responded, smiling with a stupid grin.
