< January 7, 10am
Juniper’s room >
“*yawn* ah, nothing like the sun rays on your face! So warm, I’m gonna go get ready for the day”
*ten minutes later, she gets a message from Athena*
“Oh, I got a text from thena, let me see what it is”
“Hi juni! I was wondering if you would be cool with me coming over because I wanted to hang out, it’s been a while since we’ve seen each other after that case, it’s okay if you wanna meet up somewhere else! Just let me know”
“Oh, she wants to hang out at my house? I have to ask grandma about this..I mean, thena’s no stranger, but it might surprise grandma when she comes over”
Juniper goes to tell her grandma about it, and thankfully she doesn’t mind since Athena and juniper are childhood friends after all.
Afterwards, juniper texts Athena to tell her that she can come over
“Hi thena! My grandma said that you can come over, I told her beforehand so she won’t be surprised when you’re here, so don’t worry about that, and I know you worry a lot so I wanted to say:it’s okay!”
“Also, when are you coming over? Is there a specific time?”
“Oh, hey juni! That’s good to hear, I’m definitely relieved now, and I might come over at 3pm or so, is that a good time?”
“Yea, that sounds good! See you later”
“See ya!”
Once juniper confirms that Athena is coming over, she is preparing and waiting impatiently
Meanwhile, with Athena:
“Okay, I’m gonna do it! It’s been so long, yet I still haven’t told her how I feel…this can’t be right”
Athena has had a crush on juniper ever since they were young, yet it took her quite a while to build up the courage and ask juniper out,
but now’s the time, and Athena cykes is prepared and psyched up!
What will juniper say? and how will she feel?
It’s all unknown, at least for now
Only a few hours until Athena finds out juniper’s answer to her feelings, and that answer will decide the fate of their friendship.
< January 7, 3pm
Juniper’s house >
“Whew…okay, just knock on the door, it’s no big deal…gosh, why am I so anxious?”
*juniper opens the door*
“Ah, thena! You’re here!”
“Hey juni!”
“Welcome in, is there anything specific you wanna do?”
“Oh well…I wanted to bake together, if that’s okay?”
“Of course! I love baking, it’s one of my favorite things to do, and it’s extra special if we do that together!”
“Aww, juni! That’s so sweet of you! Let’s watch some TV first, then get to baking”
“Of course, I love watching cartoons! Wanna watch some?”
“Sure!”
They watch some cartoons together, mostly the amazing world of gumball, Craig of the creek, totally spies, and regular show.
Afterwards, they get ready to set up everything and bake a cake
“Okay juni, so do we do everything from scratch or use a mix?”
“Hmm…we could use a cake mix, since we’re mostly out of ingredients for anything from scratch.”
“I see…alright then! Let’s do this!”
“We could bake a chocolate cake, if you want?” Says juniper
“Oh, no problem then! I love chocolate!” Athena says
“Okay…the mix says to put some oil and eggs, it’s fairly simple! We can’t mess this up!” Says athena
Thankfully, everything goes well, and they bake the cake successfully.
While the cake bakes, they watch more cartoons.
After the cake is done…
“Thena, I think the cake is done, should we check on it?”
“Oh, alrighty then! Let’s go!”
They check up on the cake, and sure enough, it is done.
They decide to decorate it with some icing, sprinkles, and a few kiss chocolates.
“Oh, this cake is so good! What do think, juni?”
“It’s wonderful because you helped me to bake it, thena!”
“Aww, no need for all that flattery!”
“But it’s true…I usually get nervous when baking cake, but when I was baking with you just now, I only felt confidence…it’s almost like magic”
“AWWEE! that’s so sweet of you, juni!”
“Hehe!”
After they eat cake, they chat more about what’s been happening, and in that moment, Athena gets the urge to say something.
Will she finally say it? One can only hope.
“Juniper…I have something to tell you”
“Oh, what is it?”
“Wait a minute, she didn’t call me juni like she always does…what’s up?” Juniper thinks, if she’s not using the usual nickname, it must be serious.
“I…always wanted to say this, but I never had the courage to do so, I was worried it might ruin our friendship, but now I can finally say it..”
What’s going on? Why is Athena like this?
“Thena…what is it? You can just tell me, you know”
“I…”
“I…love…”
“I LOVE YOU JUNIPER!!! I KNOW PEOPLE THINK IT’S WEIRD FOR TWO GIRLS TO BE TOGETHER, SO I NEVER REALLY TOLD ANYONE ABOUT MY CRUSH FOR YOU, BUT I LOVE YOU! I REALLY DO!”
“Th-thena…”
“I…love you too.”
“MEIN GOTT! REALLY?”
“YES!”
“AAAAAH!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH, JUNI!! KISS ME!!!”
and they finally did it…they kissed, and it was absolutely amazing.
It was the first kiss for both of them, so it felt extra special.
They’re finally together, after so many years, and many difficulties they faced together, it finally happened.
Afterwards, they decided to go on a date in a park around the city.
And from there, their life together began, and it couldn’t have started out better than this.
