Summary
After the Ashford Tourney, Aerion Targaryen bears the scars that Ser Duncan left upon him. Oftentimes, his fingers flit to those scars and much to his irritation, he cannot stop thinking about the hedge knight either.
In a twist of fate, Aerion meets his scar-giver again when his wagon party is attacked by bandits on the road to the Free Cities.
After saving the Targaryen Prince, Dunk finds himself tested, provoked and pushed in ways he cannot quite understand. Aerion believes him to be nothing but a brute and Dunk wishes to show him otherwise.
However, proving him wrong might lead Dunk to encounter something far more intimate than he’d ever intended.
