"Vent in, vent out, vent in, vent out, vent in, vent out," Blurr said under his breath while holding a bouquet of reddish-pink crystalline roses with green emerald leaves and wrapped in a magenta wrapping paper in his right servo and a red square-shaped container labeled "Energon Treats" in cursive labeling in his left.
He had decided on a whim to buy a couple of gifts for his courting partner of the evening and could only enter Longarm's side of the habsuite sector due to Cliffjumper allowing him entry. He stopped in front of Longarm's door and pressed on the door bell button on the left side of the door.
"J-Just a moment!" Longarm stuttered out, but his voice box sounded odd to Blurr.
When Longarm finally got to opening his door, he did not look well. His face-plate was slightly flushed and he was leaning onto the inner frame of the doorway for his life.
"A-Agent Blurr… G-Good evening," Longarm said with a polite tone of voice, despite how out of breath it sounded.
"Sir, are you alright? You don't look to be at peak performance," Blurr asked, being visibly concerned for his Prime and current date.
"Uh-Unfortunately… I seem to have come down with an illness of some sort," Longarm replied, his breath briefly hitching, but it seemed to have passed adding to his frustration.
"A cyber cold? How? You were perfectly well last time I spoke with you," Blurr said.
"I was trying to get some surveys of last-minute reports finished but I suppose the stress cauh… ACHOO!" Longarm tried to explain before backfiring, making sure to turn his helm away from the speedster to not spray him on accident.
"Gesundheit!" Blurr said while quickly stepping back a bit.
"Th-Thank you… I truly am sorry, Agent Blurr. While I was deemed "non-contagious"… I don't think I can handle traveling to Velocitron in this current state of my well-being," Longarm responded while slightly sniffling.
Blurr thought for a moment. He still wanted to take Longarm to Velocitron for their date, but he also didn't want to possibly exacerbate his Prime's condition.
"Well… Maybe we can have the date here," Blurr said after making a decision.
"W-What?" Longarm asked, visibly confused at Blurr's suggestion.
"I mean, the racing event wouldn't have been that amazing. It was probably going to be filled with a bunch of amateurs," Blurr replied while giving a small smile.
Longarm looked as though he was trying to think of other excuses to turn Blurr away but clearly gave up as he got out of the speedster's way, allowing him into his hab-suite.
The hab-suite itself was, in Blurr's definition, quite minimalist. It only had three doorways, one leading to the berth-room and the other to the private wash-racks, and a sliding glass one that led to a balcony of sorts. The living room had a pale purple couch, a low silver table and a flat-screen TV with a bright blue border bolted to the wall while the kitchen only had the bare essentials for refueling, something that made Blurr feel concerned for the Prime's sanity.
"I know it's not much but… It's home," Longarm said as he used the stretching ability in his right arm to grab onto the back of the couch and limped over to it, saying the last word with metaphorical venom in his mouth.
Blurr placed the crystalline rose bouquet and the box on the table then rushed over to help Longarm walk to the couch.
"I don't need a nurse, Agent Blurr," Longarm protested while stifling a backfire.
"I'm still your acquaintance, Longarm Prime. And from what I've seen, you definitely require someone right now," Blurr responded as he watched Longarm let go of the back of the couch and practically deflate once he sat down, "Where's your aluminum tissues?"
"Berth-room. Forgot to tah… Achoo!" Longarm replied while letting out another backfire, but it wasn't as harsh as the first one, possibly signifying how relaxed Longarm was becoming.
Blurr ran to the berth-room door and opened it. He noted the berth that seemed to be a bit big for Longarm that had a black helm-board with a couple of square shaped holes that were symmetrical, the bright blue berth-sheets, and the plush pale purple comforter. He found the box of aluminum tissues, which did look almost empty, alongside the small extinguish bin and the comforter. He grabbed all three items and ran back to the living room.
"I found them but I'm going to order more for you just to be safe," Blurr said as he pulled out an aluminum tissue with his left servo and handed it to Longarm.
"Fih… Choo!" Longarm said as he ended up covering his olfactory sensory with the aluminum tissue to catch the backfire this time.
"Bless you, Longarm," Blurr said as he placed the comforter around his Prime's shoulder pauldrons.
"Tha- Wait… You didn't refer to me as "Prime" this time…" Longarm said after blowing his olfactory sensor and throwing it into the extinguish bin while realizing the sudden difference in how he addressed him
Blurr seemed to realize the mistake and quickly tried to explain himself while beginning to brightly blush, "OhmygoodnessIamsosorrysiritwasaslipoftheglossaIswearitwon'thappenagain!"
"No, no, no it's alright! I'm not angry about that. If simply referring to me as "Longarm" is supposedly the next step in this… Courtship of ours, then I shall in return simply refer to you as "Blurr"," Longarm responded, reaching out with his right servo and grabbing Blurr's left servo, gently tugging him downwards.
As Blurr got onto the couch, he slightly sunk into the cushions, which visibly startled him.
"I-Is it trying to consume me?!" Blurr asked with fear in his voice box.
"No! It's because it was made for a bot of my size," Longarm replied with a laugh, something that Blurr had never heard the Prime do in front of him, which made him endear to the other mech more.
And so the two mechs fell into recharge together on the Prime's couch after a couple of hours of conversing. Blurr did somehow catch Longarm's cyber cold though, leading him to having to ask his other superior for a couple of solar cycles off.
