    At first, Coco almost thinks they’re not addressing her, with the way they've turned their back to her, refusing eye contact. In their palm, rested a cube. It was a dark red, with eyes that could apparently see and look around.

    She and Tartah both gave horrified stares, confusion plastered across their faces as they looked at the strange object. They’re both distracted, and it’s only a second later that Coco realizes the brimhat’s words were directed at her.
