“I need help making chocolates for tomorrow,” Custas repeated. He tugged his backpack into his lap, pretending to fiddle with the zippers as he elaborated, “Tomorrow at school is some sort of holiday: Agott told me that you’re supposed to give chocolates to people you like, but then she also said the chocolates don’t really count unless you make them yourself.”
Dagda continued staring at him for another few tense seconds, then, finally, he asked with a forming crooked grin, “Do you have a crush on someone?”
"'Like' in general!" Custas scowled. "Not just like that! Gross!"
