After finishing that fight against Tenna, the soul went back to a save point.
"Alright, let's see if I can beat the Knight without the Shadow Mantle..."
As if. I can tell from the way it spoke during the fights against Jevil, Spamton, Tenna, and- fuck, it even struggled to Berdly. It can't do jack shit.
Then, Susie's health skyrockets to 69420. Nice.
Wait, not nice, how the hell is Dess supposed to deal with that? Weird that this only happened to Susie, though.
"Damn, what did you do, Kris? I feel awesome!"
"You do have a certain glow about you, Susie," says the sycophantic goat boy.
Seriously, though. How in the world?
"Well, I clearly overestimated my gaming skills. Don't worry, I'm not putting you through the Sword Route, Kris... I know you don't like me, but from what I've seen, it would just traumatize you for no reason, when I can just hack Susie's health. I know you don't want to fight the Knight. Probably cause they're Dess? So I'm just gonna let you and Ralsei chill the whole battle."
Oh.
I don't know whether that should make me feel the warm fuzzies or terrified.
Ralsei and I are knocked out in seconds. I watch as Susie tanks a ton of hits and boasts anyway.
The soul is clearly pumped up, despite its utter lack of skill. It's like it's actively running into the bullets. Angel above, how can it suck that bad?
Then Susie starts taunting Dess, and the soul goes on about how awesome Susie is. I begrudgingly concede that point, even if I am secretly rooting for the other team.
Or not so secretly, apparently, since of course it's figured out all that information from all that snooping it did.
Aunt Carol's totally gonna freak when I tell her about the health thing. That's one silver lining to this.
I stop paying attention until Dess knocks Susie out.
Huh. The soul's lack of skill meant Susie was down to 59k health, but Dess still one-shotted her.
Guess the plan isn't in danger?
Still, it knows way too much. I hope it doesn't pull more shit out of its stupid red ass any time soon.
