Chapter Text
You were never someone who stood out. And frankly, you didn’t want to stand out.
It was too much of a hassle and you didn’t like being the centre of attention. You were the sort of person who kept to themselves. You didn’t see the point in doing too much. You were only here to get your diploma and leave. However, your best friend, Elisa was quite the opposite. She craved the spotlight and would do anything to be acknowledged. The two of you took different majors, although you sometimes visited the café she worked at after classes to walk back to the dorms together.
This particular evening, you had just come out of your calculus class, and oh god, were you relieved. It was a Friday, which meant that Elisa was also probably beginning to leave. You wanted to go grab a snack since you were hungry, so you pulled out your phone and shot her a quick message:
“im going to the store to buy [favourite/food]. lmk if u want anything <3”
As you clicked the ‘send’ button, you collided with something hard. Unfortunately for you, and your things, you fell and so did your belongings. You winced and looked up at you, trying to see what or who, had knocked you off balance.
A scoff. Then:
“Watch yourself darling.”
A deep, yet condescending voice rumbled from above you.
“What?” you glanced up meeting the owner of the voice. You were met with a pair of icy blue eyes.
Oh.
In front of you, towering above, was Michael Kaiser, who was in your psych class. You never really paid any attention to him, but you often heard the whispers of many other girls fawning over his “good” looks. You didn’t get the hype. The guy literally wore red eyeliner. Red. You always thought it was tacky.
“You should watch where you’re going y’know?” Kaiser smirked.
He was a heartthrob, but you honestly couldn’t give a single shit. His little ‘techniques’ wouldn’t work on you. You were only here to go to class, and leave.
You sighed inwardly, and quietly gathered your things, which were scattered on the floor. “My bad.” You replied. You quickly stood up and made your way out of his presence. As you were walking off, you felt a hand on your wrist and you turned around, shaken and surprised.
“Hold on. You dropped this” Kaiser said with a smirk and handed you your phone. You hesitantly took your phone and risked a glance at him. He wasn’t all that bad looking…I guess…
“Thanks” you choked out. Kaiser simply just turned around and lifted his hand. You noticed that there was a tattoo on his left arm. You walked off to the café Elisa worked at, lost in your own thoughts.
What a day…
