Just like that night, he grabbed a razor blade. He took off his shirt and ran the blade across his arm. Three cuts were enough, and he already felt intense pain. And worse, it didn't bother him.
He didn’t bother to be gentle.
This time, he did it forcefully, without thinking.

Rin is missing, whether dead or alive, buried or burned, he is missing. But the voice on the other end isn't offering condolences or updates on a game score. It's the police, telling him that Rin Itoshi has been missing for 48 hours.
Dragging the prodigy from Madrid's stadium to Tokyo police station. Brought here by the same person he had abandoned and as the search for Rin intensifies, a dire realization takes place that something far more sinister is at play. No amount of fame, glory, or stadium lights can save someone who is willing to drown. And Sae is forced to confront the one thing he's spent his entire life denying: the price of disowning blood... can only be paid in blood.
OR: Maybe, just maybe, he's been looking in the wrong direction all along, chasing something that would never give him peace. Maybe it was never Rin who was gone. Maybe it was him all this time.
