Summary
Mira had a complicated relationship with her appearance. She was stubborn, and through years of neglect and cruelty her ugliness had become an unmoving fixture in her mind, a stone pillar right alongside "volatile" and "unloveable" that couldn’t be moved despite all of Rumi and Zoey’s best efforts. And yet, she also knew that it was an undeniable fact she was craved and desired by hundreds of thousands of salacious men, the kind who licked their teeth as she walked past and craned their necks to get a better look.
