Work Text:
“Illugaaaa!” A voice sang to him from across the house. He jumped, the sound startling him as he didn’t expect any visitors. He quickly recovered and sighed, setting down his quill to wait for them to find him. Illuga already knew who it was by their boyish voice.
Well, he wasn't boyish per say. With a youthful face, short stature, and higher-pitched voice, he definitely was mistaken as younger. But with the context of his job and… unique personality, most often quickly realize that he in fact, was an adult.
Thankfully. Because soon a beautiful yet agitating man eventually helped himself into Illuga’s office. Closing the door behind him, he happily sauntered closer to the busy lightkeeper.
“Hello, Lohen.” He greeted him kindly. Although he was very busy with paperwork, he was always taught manners. And it was unfair to get upset with the knight when he hasn’t done anything mischievous yet.
“Hi!” He said back, finally reaching the front of his wooden desk. “Say, you aren’t too occupied, right?”
“Um..” Illuga looked around his desk, seeing only a tower of unfinished work. “I have quite the stack to work through.. Why?”
Lohen sighed, circling around to lean on Illuga’s chair, but mostly Illuga. “I’m bored.”
“When are you not?” Illuga sighed, soft affection written all over his tone. He let a quiet chuckle leave his throat after hearing a particularly bratty whine. Piercing eyes watched him as he picked up his quill. “I’ll humor you later, bunny.”
A smile sat on his face. Lohen hated when he mentioned it, but he loved it when the knight went to him for attention. With anyone else, he would find it incredibly annoying to be constantly bothered. But with Lohen, he often couldn’t find it in himself to feel anything other than fondness.
As he started scratching on the paper he felt Lohen lean more into his personal space. It was the telltale sign that Lohen was increasingly becoming more needy.
That was more of a new development.
After recent events in Mondstadt, Lohen came back slightly different. He was mostly the same, still going out when he shouldn’t to fight monsters. But now, there were silent pleas lurking in Lohen’s heart, begging for something more.
Illuga wasn’t completely sure that he knew all of what happened, but it was enough to know that he needed to shower his boyfriend with love. One day, he hopes that Lohen will tell him the full story.
He was precious to Illuga, even if he was difficult sometimes. Or, most of the time. Before Varka sent Lohen back to Nod Krai, Illuga received a letter from him. It explained Lohen’s mental state. It was jarring to hear that Lohen was having a hard time, especially since he’s usually so outgoing and giggly.
After he had been sent back, Lohen hugged him tightly. Illuga remembered that he tried to ask how he was doing but he was quickly brushed off. Instead, asking if he was down to spar. Of course.
Fortunately, a knight pried him away. Probably a senior or captain by the way he reprimanded him. “Lohen! We’ve been sent here to keep an eye on things, remember?”
He remembered laughing at Lohen’s expression, who wasn’t at all amused by being reminded of work.
Varka was worried that more abyssal clones would wreak havoc on Nod Krai, so that’s why he sent a small group of knights back to the nation. Illuga doubted that reason, though. Mostly since abyssal clones haven’t really sprouted in months.
He knew the Grandmaster loved all of his knights like family, and Lohen was no exception. If he understood anything about Varka, it’s that he wasn’t about to let Lohen suffer alone in Mondstadt. He knew that he needed more help than he could give him. And Illuga was that help.
He was broken from his thoughts as the chair creaked. Lohen was now sitting in Illuga’s lap. He laughed, setting the quill down once again to wrap his arms around Lohen’s waist.
“What is it, my dear?” He asked, searching Lohen’s face for any clues. All he found was a soft pink dusting his cheeks.
“I want something.” Lohen answered. He smiled playfully as he wrapped his arms around Illuga’s neck. The lightkeeper looked at him inquisitively. He cocked his head to the side, silently telling him to go on.
Lohen leaned in and placed a small kiss on his pink lips. Before Illuga could return it, he quickly pulled away. He drank in the lightkeeper’s soft expression before finally continuing.
“A creampie from you.” Lohen practically whispered, moving again to kiss along Illuga’s jaw.
“Yeah?” Illuga replied, pressing his hands firmly against the knight’s lower back. He felt Lohen nod feverishly against him. Sharp teeth nipped against the sensitive skin of his neck, forcing him to release a quick breath.
Lohen gave a harsh suck, pulling his head back to see Illuga’s skin reddening. He sighed as he felt the cold air rush to the wetness. Illuga turned his head, so the knight could easily see. Lohen smirked upon seeing this and leaned in, licking and biting some more.
“Well,” He started, bringing up a hand to the back of Lohen’s head as he spoke. “Be good, then I’ll give it to you.”
Lohen kissed the new mark on his neck in response. He ran his fingers over Lohen’s soft hair, pulling any knots out along the way.
After a few seconds, Illuga broke the silence.
“Bunny,” Illuga spoke up. “I have to finish working.” The knight pulled away, staring intently at him. Although he didn’t show it, he was probably very annoyed at Illuga’s interruption.
“Can’t I just stay here with you?” He asked, morphing his face into something akin to a pout. He almost felt bad, petting the back of his head, but then he saw it. A hint of a smirk settling on Lohen’s lips.
Illuga laughed at the sight, making Lohen quickly drop the act. “Nice try. Don’t you have work?”
“Everyone is too busy guzzling down wine to even notice I’m gone!”
“Lohen…”
“Fine!” He huffed, quickly standing up in frustration. Illuga’s lap felt cold as he watched the knight head for the door of his office. Upset thumping of his heels filled the room, slowly walking away. Once he reached the door, Lohen turned. He stayed for a moment, looking for any reaction, any wish for him to stay.
“Remember, be good.” Was the only response he got.

Sitting in a room in the Flagship, Lohen miserably wrote a report. He hated it, but Varka threatened him with more solitary confinement if he didn’t write any. So boring, and the content of this report wasn’t even interesting! Just another incident of Wild Hunt stragglers found in a nearby field. They weren’t even fun to kill as he and another knight swiftly downed them.
Normally, he would kindly ask another knight to do it for him. But everyone was already slumped over the Flagship’s bar after drinking themselves silly. How useless.
His handwriting was sloppy. He sighed. “Illuga’s handwriting wasn’t ever this bad, and he writes about fifty reports an hour.”
He was only about halfway done with one.
His sulky thoughts were interrupted from loud knocking at his door. He grumbled, slobbily setting his quill down to rub his eyes. “It better not be one of those drunken bastards!”
“It’s open.” He calls out, closing his eyes to relish in the slight burn. Cool air flooded the room as the door opened. He shivered slightly, setting his hands over his chest to discreetly warm himself. After the visitor closed the door, he finally opened his eyes.
“Illuga!” He happily yelled, getting up from his spot to walk up to him. Lohen internally winced at his reaction. Why was he so needy suddenly?
“Bunny.” He smiled. Lohen leaned in to give him a kiss, only lasting a second. Illuga smiled as they pulled away, lifting his hand to show the knight something.
It was a white box wrapped in a bow with a delicate blue ribbon. There was a gold sticker stuck to the top of the lid saying “Come again!”
It looked fancy.
“What’s that?” Lohen quizzed, looking curiously at the box. Illuga smiled strangely, walking to the desk to gently set it down.
“Open it and see.”
“Ohh,” Lohen said, raising his eyebrows. “A surprise? For little old me?”
Illuga laughed and nodded. Lohen took a seat and pulled the box in front of him excitedly. He also moved the report farther away so as to not get in his way. Illuga leaned on the desk, patiently waiting for Lohen to open it.
He slowly undid the ribbon, which was quite scratchy at the touch. That didn’t matter, however, since it was easy to pull apart. It spilled against the desk as Lohen let it go. He didn’t notice the way Illuga’s smile widened. He quickly ripped off the lid, which in turn made the sides of the box open and fall to the desk.
.
.
He heard laughter as he stared in… Shock? Disbelief? No, embarrassment.
Inside the neatly wrapped box, was a pie.
A creampie.
Lohen pouted, looking at Illuga as he hunched over laughing. He had his hands on his knees and he faced the ground, hot tears rolling down his face.
“Birdie..” Lohen said, disappointedly looking back to the cream dessert on the desk. “That’s not funny.”
Illuga stood back up, still softly giggling at his beloved boyfriend. He wiped the tears off of his cheeks. Lohen looked away, blush spreading across his own.
“It kind of is.” Illuga refuted, reaching up to run a comforting hand over Lohen’s hair. As if acting as an apology.
“Whatever.” Lohen said, rolling his eyes. He lifted a finger to pick up some of the cream. Lohen licked the sweetness and he felt his pupils dilate at the taste. Illuga watched, a smile still lingered on his lips.
“It’s really good.” He said, scooping up a bigger glob of the cream.
“Really?” Illuga asked.
“Yeah, try some.”
That was the only warning Illuga received before Lohen hurled the cream at his face. He recoiled, slapping both of his hands on his face to protect himself. It was already too late, though, as cream splattered over his lower face.
It was Lohen’s turn to laugh as proud giggles left his soft lips. “Fuck you! That’s what you get.”
Illuga sighed, cleaning up his face with his hands. “Yeah, it was deserved, huh?”
Lohen smiled at him as he clumsily wiped his face, quickly getting over his embarrassment.
After finally getting most of the cream off his nose, cheeks, and chin, he licked remaining cream from his own lips.
“This is good.”
“Right?”
