“Dad.. I like girls.. and boys.”
Muttered the anxious Georgie to his father; tense, and fidgeting. George turned the TV off and just stared so hard at Georgie that you couldnt even tell what emotion he was feeling. Anger Shock? We don’t know.
“Could you please atleast say something, dad?”
Georgie desperately pleaded, trying to break the silence that was somehow awfully loud, and ofcourse, awkward.
George finally spoke up.
“Are you sure you aren’t confused? Did a girl reject you? Did—“
George had suddenly gotten cut off.
“Dad! I am not confused! I like boys and girls!”
He tried telling his dad that it wasn’t a phase, but he just wasn’t having it.
George stood up from the recliner, towering over Georgie, and began to scold him for his sexual orientation.
“You aren’t gay, Georgie. If you keep telling yourself this, then you will turn out gay. You. Are. Not. Gay.”
Georgie stammers but he just sighs. He hung his head low, giving up because his father already won’t support him.
“Please don’t tell mom..”
Georgie pleaded.
“Just go to your room.”
Georgie nodded and just went off. He was already afraid of what his dad was capable of doing. When he reached his room, his mind had flooded with thoughts. What if he tells Mary? Or coach Wilkins, and a rumor starts around school? Georgie stressed. His hands were on his head, and he paced around his room, stressed.
