   Summary

Tadfield-by-the-Sea had never needed homicide detectives. Aziraphale’s beat used to consist of missing sheepdogs and boundary disputes over garden fences—until Anthony Crowley was transferred down from the Met, bringing with him city cynicism, a stride that stiffened with the sea damp, and a quiet that felt too heavy for the room. Now, the chalk cliffs are guarding something neither of them wants to drag into the light.
