“…But why?” Seungcheol asked, clenching the rough glass of his drink. “Joshua, why did you run?”
Joshua’s face tightened, like they were touching a nerve. “Does it matter why? There were so reasons why…Mostly I was just overwhelmed—“
“You were scared?” Seungcheol guessed, closing in on Joshua, who was starting to crack under the intensity. Seungcheol had had this conversation in his mind so vividly and so many times that he knew every word they were both going to say by heart. “Of what?”
