“Remember my name, beloved.” The creature whispers, purring centimeters away from Daniel’s face. He’s watching him so intently, gaze deep as magma, lips curled in the softest smile. Flashes cloud his vision, disorienting him for a moment.
"A—" Daniel’s strangely breathless, dragging words around his mind and thoughts racing. The man is closer now, brows drawn like he’s almost in pain, need seeping through his skin like thick honey.
“Yes, yes, precious thing, it’s right there.” He’s earnest now, treating Daniel like his favorite doll, his favorite boy, his darling boy. Daniel doesn’t know anymore which of his thoughts are his own and which ones are bleeding through the other’s mind into his own, longing and thirst dense against the crevices of his brain.
He’s timid when he says his name for what he still thinks is the first time.
