Chapter Text
"Where's y/n?" Juhoon asked as he began preparing for their regular dance practice. "Not sure, she did leave in a rush yesterday though," Martin replied "said she had to watch something."
The guys waited a solid ten minutes until y/n finally walked through the door of their practice room. "Why are you so late? Not enough beauty rest?" James joked. "Not right now. Get into your positions." She responded sternly and waved them off as she bluetoothed her phone. "We're running RedRed first."
James glanced back at Keonho who hadn't noticed y/n's attitude.
After practicing all of the choreo for GreenGreen y/n allowed a small break. Under normal circumstances this would mean jokes, chatting, and maybe a tiktok or two but y/n wasn't having any of that today. She wasn't angry at their antics. She was just deep in thought. Juhoon sat next to her against the mirror wall or whatever it's called.
"You good, y/n?" She had her knees up to her chest and her head was tucked between her body and legs. It was subtle but Juhoon noticed the faint shake of her head.
Martin sat on her other side, "What happened?" She lifted her head up and sniffed as she wiped tears away. "Jax abstracted."
Silence filled the room. Even James, Keonho, and Seonghyeon had stopped messing around to stare in bewilderment. "Who the fuck is Jax?" Martin asked. "Abstracting? What is that like painting or something?" James questioned with an eyebrow raised. "No it's like dying." She sobbed more and Juhoon placed an unsure hand on her back as an attempt to comfort her. She sniffed and began rambling, "Caine wasn't really dead he was just in the void and Ribbit was so sweet all she wanted to do was to comfort Jax but he had ptsd. Then Ribbit abstracted because Jax pushed her away and then Kaufmo found the exit but no one believed him so he abstracted. Not to mention Abstragedy is canon-"
After a bit more rambling y/n finally went silent. Martin was the first to speak up, foolishly, "What kind of stupid shit have you been snorting?" Y/n looked at him with tear stained cheeks, "I don't snort. Anyways, we've gone 5 minutes over break time. Sorry about that," She clapped her hands twice "Back to it."
Later that night when the guys returned to their dorms they all gathered around Martin's laptop to figure out what y/n was talking about. "The Amazing Digital Circus? Sounds like it's for 2 year olds." Martin commented. "Oooh! I remember this!" Seonghyeon exclaimed. "She made me watch the first episode with her a few months ago. It must have just recently hit its peak with the plot." He explained.
"Well that would've been nice to know when she was sobbing." James quipped. "How long do you think she'll mourn these fictional deaths for?" Juhoon asked. "I'm guessing she'll have forgotten about it tomorrow." Keonho says confidently. Everyone else looked at their oblivious maknae skeptically. "What?"
