Chapter Text
Tim stared blankly at his computer screen, he had been working for almost seventy two hours trying to solve the missing persons case before Bruce decided he was taking too long and took over. Rubbing his eyes he looked up at the ceiling of the guest room he was still staying in.
The room was a constant reminder that he wasn’t a part of the family, and to be honest he didn’t really mind that part. He had a family, they might be dead because his mother and father were not the monsters Bruse made them out to be, they didn’t start leaving him home until he was eleven.
And even then he still had a babysitter, when he was younger they would take him with them on their expeditions. He even got to help with digging up the smaller artifacts, the t-rex tooth on his bedroom was a testament to their adventures.
Smiling at the fond memories he glanced at the album on his bookshelf, rolling over he pulled down the slightly worn book, flipping through the pages each page was a representation of his childhood. His favorite had always been the one his father had taken. Tim was six with flowers covering his cheeks as he held out his very first attempt at folding dumplings.
his mother was standing in the background laughing, her face was also covered in flowers, her eyes bright. Rubbing his thumb against the edge of the page he looked at the page next to it.
It was the first time he had landed a flip on his skateboard, he was seven and was missing one of his front teeth. Something about the picture reminded him of something his mother had said once. Flipping to the back there was a phone number written in his mothers elegant cursive.
Tapping the cover he debated the benefits of calling the number, his mother had made close friends with a sorcerer before he was born. The woman apparently had the ability to send people to different realities, the only catch being that the person was the only person able to send themselves back.
Thinking about his current life there wasn't much he would be missing aside from Jason, Bruce hadn't wanted Tim in the first place, Dick ignored him in favor of Damian, and Damian actively tried to kill him with no consequences.
Reaching for his phone he opened messages with Jason.

Jason was having a stressful day, Bruce wouldn't get off his ass about using rubber bullets instead of switching out his guns for a more reliable weapon like Dick or Damian which was hypocritical, when he got a text message from the only person he liked that worked with the bats, other than Alfred.
Who ironically didn't consider or liked when it was implied he was one of Bruce's children. Which in Jason’s opinion was completely valid, with less pit madness running through his vanes he got a few memories back. He was surprised to find out that before being adopted by Bruce, he had gotten a job babysitting Tim.

Text With Baby Bird
Baby Bird:
Hey Jay question
How willing are you to like….live in another dimension?
Big Big:
What?
Baby Bird:
My mom apparently knew this magic lady
I have her number and she can send us to another dimension to just….live
Big Big:
Again…what?
Baby Bird:
I'm just asking, I've got nothing going on here
All my friends are dead and you're the only person I'd actually miss besides Alfred
Big Big:
I'm going to need more kid?

Jason wasn't surprised when he got a sudden call from Tim, clicking the answer icon he was immediately bombarded with Tim’s ramblings. Something he hadn't done since Tim was an hyper ten year old.
“Okay so my mom used to have this wizard friend, and they were able to send up to a different dimension. And the only catch is that we have to want to go back to want to return but i'm sure it’ll be fine” Tim says in a rush, his voice slightly rough from lack of use.
Jason only took a few moments to consider leaving his current reality for what could be forever before agreeing.
