Snacks? Check.
Blankets? Check.
Lights off? Check.
Curling up on your small couch you adjust yourself until you're perfectly comfortable and cozy the movie you rented primed up on the T.V. Everything was perfect. Well nearly perfect.
Pushing off your blankets you hung your head off the couch making eye contact with two yellow eyes staring back from the crevice beneath the couch. “You can come sit on the couch if you want.”, you smiled as you extended the invitation. They stare back before they disappear from view a stretching sound coming from behind, sitting back up you see their head resting on the cushions from behind the couch.
“I dont think id fit…”, they spoke, their voice tinted with what might have been disappointment as their shoulders slumped, slipping round to kneel down in front of the couch. “Ah right…”, you couldn't help but feel bad for suggesting it when a new idea popped into your head.
“Maybe if you want…You could rest your head here”, you offered hesitantly and patted your lap.
They stared wide-eyed for a long moment before slowly laying their head down upon your thighs, their arms wrapping around your waist. You can't help but smile a warm blush gracing your cheeks as you slipped one of the blankets over their shoulders.
“Comfy?”, you asked, looking down at them. They nodded, tightening their hold on your waist as you hit play on the movie, everything finally perfect.
