    The first thing that happens after they're out of the water is Will's toenails start to fall off.

    One by one, they shrivel up, falling off as Will can barely keep his eyes open.

    Hannibal is not much better, lying in bed beside him most of the time despite Chiyoh's attempts to keep them apart.
