Scars

Summary:

𝑾𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒔𝒉 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓,
𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒓.

Why?

Notes:

Thank you for reading this🩷
It is my fourth poem.
It was born from just a random thought.😄

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Everyone loves a big star,
But no one thought it's bizarre
That scars are torments that gnaw
The pain stigmatized as a flaw.

Only one letter differs,
But a scar, no one prefers.
We wish upon a star,
But sigh upon a scar.

Scars show the pain that stings
The memory which willfully clings.
It marks a wound deep sealed
That never ever truly got healed.

Yet scars remind us of success,
Not failures to be suppressed.
It tells the story of a fight,
In which we held on tight.

Those harsh pains we endured,
The hard earned victory secured
The deep cutting wound we survived,
The later joy which thrived.

Scars are proof we shone,
Not like a shooting star, fast-gone.
