The flow of time is always cruel.
It's a rather pointed observation, and one that has haunted him over the years. And yet it is all that Link can think as he stares down at the boy, drawing at the base of a tree.
A poorly proportioned sword is placed into a stick figure hand, and Link tries not to let his despair show on his face.
"And then the monster will die and everyone will cheer and the Hero—that's me…" the child keeps talking; spinning out his fantasy.
And the Hero of Time cannot save himself from it.
