The saddle was sun-warmed between his thighs before he had even sat in it, and now his body heat kept it warm even in the face of the roaring wind. Rocking with every beat; every motion forward, Wild was lulled by the familiarity of the motion.
And then he opened his eyes.
Clouds flowed around him, looking like a feather bed. He kind of wanted to jump.
The feathers his hands brushed as he adjusted his grip on the reins were softer than any horses mane.
"Keep up!" Sky laughed; diving past.
Wild grinned, and spurred the Loftwing to follow.
