Chapter Text

The performer lost.

Now she must bear the consequence of getting her arm chopped off.

Her name was Sua.

A few years ago life had been normal, as normal as it can get. Sua and her lover, Mizi had been training to become K-pop idols.

They both auditioned together after graduation, unfortunately though Sua got rejected.

But it was fine, she didn’t mind. As long as Mizi was happy and living her dreams.

…..

After a while, Mizi….She started to change.

That pink haired girl was still here, yes— that’s true, but she wasn’t exactly the same.

Her eyes were no longer filled with joy— her eyes became soulless.

She….she started doing things. Such as wearing revealing clothes. Of course Mizi could wear anything she wanted, Sua knew that but, this was Mizi. The same girl who hates being objectified and just liked for her body.

She was actively being exploited.

And her fans watched. And watched and watched. They saw it. They saw how she changed. But they didn’t care. At least not to the point that they actually try to help.

And Sua watched in horror. She watched as the girl she once knew, once so bubbly suddenly became so cold.

Everywhere she walked, Mizi’s face was there. On billboards. She was out on public for everyone to see.

For every lust and desires to see.

Right before everything changed they had a fight. Mizi looked stressed and angry. She had hit Sua.

Though Sua didn’t care about that, sure she was shocked because it was out of nowhere but it wasn’t like it was the first time.

Truth is their relationship never really been a healthy one.

— And now it’s seemed like it was about to crumble.

Mizi had ran away.

In disbelief and despair, Sua just stood.

Suddenly something caught her eyes.

Someone— or something…? Was following Mizi.

A zombie.

And that’s how it all started.

People were getting infected left and right.

Instead of trying to find a cure, humans found a new way to bring light to their days.

That’s right, a zombie stage!

This zombie stage operated very simple.

Here’s how it works:

The zombie stage is a funny little competition where two zombies sing & dance, whoever gets the highest scores wins! And the loser? Well they get a body part taken.

Here’s the fun part! The entertainment never ends. These zombies are living-dead. By taking away a body part only, it ensures that they won’t completely die and can participate in future rounds again and again.

It’s a fun never ending entertainment.

Think of it as a show that you love so deeply! It’s fun and never gets boring. You can always watch it over and over without getting bored.

So now you may ask: how did Sua get infected?

Well…

Sua had went to find Mizi.

She took off her mask and stared at Mizi.

She walked closer. Grabbing her head, pulling her into a kiss. That’s how she got infected. Living doesn’t mean anything if it means only she’s alive while Mizi is gone. She can’t live without Mizi. So becoming a zombie was the best thing she could do.

And now she gets to perform with Mizi! Like how they both wanted to! Before turning into zombies they wanted to be k-pop idols, now they can still be k-pop idols!

Truly a show that never ends.

Sua had lost the round. Now her arm was on a table, waiting for it to he chopped off. She stayed smiling the whole time. Why? Because she knew that this was better than Mizi getting hurt again. She would protect Mizi for as long as she can.

The pain was somewhat unbearable. She had grown used to it. A lot of zombies have. Sua remembers the first time she lost, the pain was something. Even though she was technically already dead, the pain made her feel alive.

Now sitting in her ‘room’ she wonders what Mizi is doing. She wishes that Mizi was here, with her. She misses her deeply. The stage is one of the only places she can be with Mizi for a long period of time.

To avoid further mass infection, the zombies are kept in captivity and are always being watched.

But between us, it’s really so the zombies won’t escape. After all, humans only care about the things that benefits them.

they don’t care if it hurts people.

Whether it’s exploitation, or trafficking, if it benefits them, then they will proceed.

And that’s the disgusting nature of humans.

Among the audience, it’s merely just men.

Maybe about 2% are women. Most of the zombies on the stage are women.

The men aren’t young boys, but mostly middle aged men. Watching zombies who were barely an adult when they got infected dance and sing, with saliva coming out of their mouths, imaging the most indecent desires.

Ah now in Mizi’s room— Wait no…wait? Yes…? This isn’t Mizi?

And this certainly ain’t her room!

This person. She looks like Mizi….If she was burnt to the core.

The woman had black hair, but if you looked closely it seemed to be a wig— and wait, where the heck are the zombies?!?

Where am I? ….. Sua thought.

She decided to ask the blacked hair person, who she thought was also a zombie.

“Excuse me, where am I? And where’s the stage?”

The woman turned around, she looked Sua in the eyes. Her eyes widened.

In disbelief, the person replies: “Sua?…”
