Summary
Shouto didn't know him especially well. They'd trained together often enough since his transfer into the Hero Course, and there had been the war before that, but beyond exchanging the occasional conversation before class or during combat exercises they had never really spoken. Even so, he respected him. Shinsou had worked for the place he now occupied in Class 2-A more than most people ever would, spending the better part of a year proving to anyone willing to watch that he belonged there just as much as the rest of them. It wasn't difficult to admire that sort of determination.
For a brief moment, Shouto considered turning around and leaving. Shinsou was clearly occupied, and although sitting alone in the common room at three o'clock in the morning was an unusual choice, it wasn't Shouto's place to interrupt him simply because neither of them appeared capable of sleeping. Right?
