Exactly one hundred and twenty days, four months, since he lost his medical license. Khaotung was still in shock. One day, he was the hospital’s most renowned pediatrician; the next, he was being handcuffed by the police for allegedly having drugs in his locker. “Allegedly” felt like the wrong word–the drugs were indeed in his locker, but the real question was: how did they get there?
Khaotung had always been deeply dedicated to his job. He loved working with children, talking to them about anything and everything. Sometimes they would even draw him pictures as a thank you, and he covered his office walls with them.
