Summary
When he drops both his and Ilya's bags in the hallway and pulls his shoes off, the rest of the tension releases with a heavy exhale and he's left with only the deep muscle ache of a hard-fought season and a twinge in his left hip from a check to the boards at the wrong angle.
"Okay?" Ilya speaks softly from behind him, grabbing Shane by the hips and digging his fingers into the sore joint.
Shane hisses in pain but nods and lays his hand over Ilya's to keep him there, their rings clicking together softly. The firm pressure makes his legs feel sort of like jelly, so he leans some of his weight back, trusting Ilya to take it. After a moment, the pain ebbs a bit and his legs feel slightly more solid, so he slides his hand up to grab Ilya's wrist and bringing it up to his mouth to kiss the fat of his palm in thanks before lacing their fingers together and turning in Ilya's grip. Ilya returns the kiss to the knuckles of their intertwined hands, wrapping his arm around Shane's waist. Shane rests their foreheads together gently for a moment, nudging Ilya's nose and tilting his chin up for a kiss, sweet and slow.
