After his most recent incident, fWhip is already so ready for his date in the Mythlands. First he has to have "that" talk with Gem, and set talk did involve him being safer while working in his lab. It also went over how they are both idiots (nothing new) and that the date only could happen if they first cleaned up his lab and buy him a labcoat and a new pair of work goggles.
When the day finally comes for his date, he does get a little nervous about the way he looks, like his hair isn’t laying the way he wants, what if he gets a stain on his shirt, or worse, his elytra breaks and he hurts himself again. Normally he doesn’t stress this much about a visit to Sausage, but it's not a normal visit this time. As he's finally ready to leave he gets a text for Gem.
Gem: Good luck and enjoy :)
fWhip: Thank you.
He does a final check on his elytra and which rockets he’s using (smart on his part), and then he’s off. Normally it takes him about an hour to get to Mythland, but this time it only takes him give or take forty-five minutes. As he lands, a happy Sausage is awaiting him. “You got here quicker than expected, not that I'm complaining.” Getting a soft smile from the other. “Does it still hurt or is it better now?”
“My hand still hurts a little, but otherwise I’m fine.” Getting a sigh of relief from Sausage. “So, did you have anything in mind for us to do? He asks, curiously looking at his friend.
“If you want, we can sit in the greenhouse or at the harbor, it’s up to you.” fWhip giving him a look of “I don't know.” “Greenhouse it is then.” As they are walking to the greenhouse, they are holding hands the whole way.
“So, what do you actually see in me?” Sausage asks “Since that whole possessed thing can’t be what did it.” getting a bit of an angry look back.
“I still hate you for that, but the Sausage I knew from before this whole thing happened was so silly yet mature. When you did get possessed it was like what happened to the friend I loved so much? Now that everything is mostly back to normal, I sort of feel conflicted, you know? I love you with all my heart, and I’m so grateful for all the times you helped me out, but that ONE THING is either going to make or break this, and I don’t want it to break.”
Sounding very defeated, Sausage tries to make it a bit better but doesn’t know how. “I also don’t want it to break, but I also can’t blame you for still being mad at me. I did do some really messed up things.” As he looks very ashamed at his feet. “I” But then he’s just quiet, letting go of fWhip’s hand. “Why do you actually love me? ‘Cause I’m not sure I like me.”
“First of all, you’d run headfirst into danger for those you love. You are caring to the point of not caring enough about yourself. And lastly, you are, even with your very obvious flaws, still the kindest and hottest” Those last two words he said under his breath. “Emperor I know."
This makes Sausage blush very hard. “Thank you.” Totally unaware about how close their faces are as he gets a kiss on his cheek.
“Was that good enough reason for you?” Giving Sausage a sly look. “If you didn’t like it, you can also say so.”
“I very much enjoyed it.” Giving fWhip a fond look. “You could do it again and I wouldn’t mind it one bit.” So now he gets a kiss on his lips, and void is it a good one.
When it's time for their time together to end, fWhip is the one getting the last kiss. “Get home safely, okay.” Getting a nod as fWhip’s takes off for Grimlands, leaving Sausage with a very warm feeling in his chest.
