Saiki’s face does something atypical: it softens. His eyebrows lose their tension and float up his face, eyes rounding. His mouth, while still closed, goes weirdly slack. “I don’t see why that should bother you.” Even though there’s no audible indication of it, Shun gets the sense that Saiki sighs and hesitates before saying, “Your life partner is a man.”
