Rafal’s not blind to the way Hubert looks at him, nor is he ignorant of what adults do behind closed doors.
Hubert is beautiful in the same way his theory of heliocentrism is: logical, captivating, unable to be looked away from. Their relationship would never be able to see the light of day, but it had been Hubert who taught him that a wrong answer is not a meaningless one.
Rafal takes Hubert’s hand. The difference between heliocentrism and geocentrism is merely a perspective shift. “You know I haven’t ever kissed someone before?”
Hubert leans in. “I can teach you.”
