Ilya’s eyes glinted in the low light as he leaned closer. “I get the sense you would prefer it the other way.”
Shane's breath caught in his throat for just a beat before he moved his jacket to flash the handgun at his waist.
“A bit dramatic, are we?” Ilya laughed.
“I don't tolerate disrespect.”
Ilya used the advantage of his extra few inches in height to plant his arm to the left of Shane's head and crowd him against the wall.
