Shane does hook up with people. With girls.
He just keeps it private.
There's just something kind of gross about the whole thing, he thinks. Girls will throw themselves at him and at his teammates, and it always feels transactional even if they end up disappointed by him in the end. And Shane doesn't like disappointing anybody; it's hardwired into his goddamn DNA to meet and exceed expectations.
It's why the Rozanov situation continues, probably, even if it's a really bad idea. They have an arrangement and it works for the most part. Shane is focused on hockey, and the few times during the season that they meet up is enough for him.
