Work Text:
WELCOME!
This has been a passion project of mine for so long, and so I'm so glad to finally have something presentable. Thank you so much for giving this a chance!
This should work for all devices. If you have any issues, make sure to PM me, so I can investigate.
All interactable text will look:
PS: Links can also appear on usernames or in messages themselves.
All links will always be marked!! Generally any underlined text will take you somewhere or do something.
PPS: Fun fact, the real word count is roughly 25,000. It's just heavily inflated by the workskin.
PPPS: If you're interested in a full breakdown of the workskin, PM me. Most of it is pretty simple aesthetic changes and margin setting, but there are a few nifty tricks and advice I picked up from trial and error.
PPPPS: I had no experience going into this, so it's a lot more accessible than you think.
Generally make sure to use relative units and avoid absolute positioning.
I also have some good references. Feel free to PM me!

We’ve received an invitation to a cyclic mechanics seminar in Schemes of Recollection if any of you are interested in participating.
[Schemes of Recollection | net]
No Sig
Seems we’re popular now~
Five Pebbles13.034
I’m okay if everyone else is interested.
Big Sis Moon
I was just offering the possibility of course. I personally don’t have any strong feelings either way.
Grey Wind13.045
Currently working on a few big projects right now. You would know Pebbles~
Five Pebbles13.046
My colony had protections against self-incrimination.
Big Sis Moon13.047
I’m sure it was quite "ingratiating" for you.
No Sig
A lot of things are ingratiating for Pebbles.
Five Pebbles
I can think of a few choice iterators.
No Sig13.048
Now now, let us not disrespect our betters.
Five Pebbles13.049
Indeed.
I’ll be expecting a prompt apology.
Grey Wind13.050
Well, while we wait, did anyone get the results for Whispers’ competition?
Big Sis Moon
You’d be surprised!
[Whispers’ Ancient Species Extravaganza #29 | net]
Five Pebbles13.053
I don’t understand these groups.
It’s not a productive use of time or resources.
Grey Wind13.056
How brutalist of you
Five Pebbles
Forgive me, I just don’t see the utility.
Especially given how common it is for some to lose focus entirely to these pursuits.
No Sig13.057
Utility isn’t the point, though. Think of it as a "warmup"
Grey Wind
How much diverted output constitutes losing focus in your eyes?
Five Pebbles13.058
I haven’t considered it deeply.
Big Sis Moon13.059
Take your time!
Five Pebbles13.082
I don’t think an exact definition exists
When one is more focused on recreational activities than on their next project then I believe they are becoming disillusioned with our work.
Of course, recreation is understandable, but I believe it is best in moderation.
No Sig13.083
Maybe, but I don’t understand why this makes you dislike all recreational groups
Grey Wind13.084
I haven’t met anyone who has completely ceased their work, only worked at a significantly slower rate for a temporary period.
The Great Problem will be solved regardless. What matters if it takes a few extra hundred thousand cycles?
Five Pebbles13.085
I- have not considered this.
Five Pebbles13.086
Sig, I don’t know how to explain this at the moment.
Grey Wind
Perhaps you should consider engaging with a few of these groups. It couldn’t hurt~

I’ve been doing some simulations regarding the field canceller prototype, and here are some major anomalies I’ll need help crunching the numbers for.
[Karmic Disturbance Anomalies | cis]
Here’s a general list of the data. I’ve been focusing on Alpha and Beta configurations, and I think Five Pebbles would be best to handle the Deltas given how intensive they are.
Big Sis Moon20.134
This is really interesting! Thank you for these findings.
I’ll make sure to adjust my models accordingly.
Five Pebbles
I’m fine with your requests.
Grey Wind20.138
Working on it!
Five Pebbles20.181
Regarding future projects, would a matrix of cancellers be a practical element for testing? Perhaps it could lend itself to research of hypothetical negative karmic vectors.
Big Sis Moon20.182
What a blast from the past! I’d love to work with those again
I have a few ideas in mind for implementation, but we’d be getting ahead of ourselves, wouldn’t we~
Grey Wind
Yet another thing for the pile-
Five Pebbles
Would there ever be a reason to stop?
No Sig20.183
We’ve been working to give you some~
But in seriousness, what has you interested in NKVs? Research of them has long since been inactive.
Grey Wind
There have been some fringe developments actually, but nothing of any substance.
Five Pebbles20.184
I thought it was an interesting next step.
No Sig
Which means he’s avoiding something.
Five Pebbles
I don’t avoid work.
Grey Wind20.185
Have you heard news of the recent developments? I normally keep this stuff to myself, but there’s been retaliatory kicks all across the network.
Big Sis Moon20.191
I’ve caught wind of a few things. I believe someone cut ties with Lyre.
No Sig
Oh really! That would make sense given what I’ve been hearing.
Big Sis Moon20.193
This behavior doesn’t really surprise me. She’s been aggressive like this since her priming.
No Sig20.198
I wonder how this will affect her cooperative
Five Pebbles
They haven’t done anything impressive for a long time, and it seems they’ve started unravelling.
Big Sis Moon
Oh?
Grey Wind20.203
There was a major publishing scandal last cycle. Their public forum is still on lockdown.
I’ve heard talks of fraud, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there are investigations going around
No Sig
I think it’s a good thing. Lyre has always been very controlling.
Big Sis Moon20.207
Agreed. I’d like to see influence be spread more evenly
I’ve distrusted her ever since the confrontation with Grey Wind, and I don’t think her behavior is appropriate. I’m sure with this, she’ll have trouble maintaining power over so many places.
Grey Wind20.210
There’s been a lot of confusion, but there has definitely been a change in the atmosphere
Five Pebbles20.211
I wouldn’t be surprised. Alienation is an empty threat when it’s used so brazenly. From every perspective it upends the system.
Grey Wind20.221
Rhymes has just invited me to an inquiry.
No Sig
Agreed.
Sorry! Too slow!!
I don’t think it’s a good idea to get involved right now.
Big Sis Moon20.223
You should trust your instincts.
Grey Wind
I think I’d be caught in the crossfire
Five Pebbles20.224
I think this situation will last a lot longer than normal.
This isn’t her first scandal, and she still has tremendous influence.
My recommendation is to lay low and offer what you can; though I’m sure given enough time she will eventually be whittled down.

You should really consider a proper filing structure. "It might improve your efficiency."
Big Sis Moon59.073
Shush~! I’ve been doing it like this several times longer than you. If I tried to fix it now, I would for a thousand cycles.
Five Pebbles
And if two iterators were working on it?
Five Pebbles59.091
Assuming stored memory scales linearly with an iterator lifetime and we forget at standard rates, then we could likely recompile, name, and assess all manually named memory within 300 cycles using just 7.435% of our output respectively.
Big Sis Moon
No way are you doing all the work! We’ll be doing 4.457% and 13.673% or no deal.
Five Pebbles
Anything to make group work bearable.
Big Sis Moon59.098
Would you rather have thorough data or readable data?
Five Pebbles
You have neither.
Big Sis Moon
Oh please.
Actually, from priming I was a fanatically thorough researcher.
Five Pebbles59.103
Oh yes, I’m sure, great overmother.
Big Sis Moon59.604
You shouldn’t disrespect your elders, Pebbles~
Five Pebbles68.892
I’m ready. I’d prefer if you used one of the surface tethers; I’d like to prevent overloading the relay tower.
Also, I’d prefer that we split processing 5.000% and 9.164%.
Big Sis Moon68.894
Oh, I didn’t know you were serious. I’m sorry, I’ll be sending over some now.
Five Pebbles
No worries. You don’t have to do this if you aren’t interested, of course. I just thought it’d be something helpful.
Big Sis Moon68.895
No, of course! I didn’t think my memory practices bothered you so much~
Five Pebbles
It has been truly ingratiating.
Big Sis Moon68.898
Now that I’m prepared, we can use the south data center for the relay tower for live edits. Will that interfere with your security?
Five Pebbles68.901
That’s a clever trick. And no, I will adjust.
Big Sis Moon
I learned it from a programmer in the west. They used it to help crunch numbers in the field dynamics project.
Five Pebbles68.904
So much for nothing in the end.
Big Sis Moon
Not so! There have been countless citations, and it laid the groundwork for at least 94 papers.
Five Pebbles

Big Sis Moon
Oh really~
No bioengineering projects or anything?
Five Pebbles
It seems I have choice words for someone else.
Big Sis Moon24.790
I’m sure he can manage~
So elaborate! I want to be entertained
Five Pebbles24.795
Am I just here to entertain you?
The processing load for this is particularly frustrating, the simulation load especially.
Big Sis Moon
I believe that’s part of the fun.
Searching for work arounds/minor improvements in efficiency, I mean. In a way it makes every achievement far more satisfying.
Five Pebbles
It feels wasteful.
Big Sis Moon
How so?
Five Pebbles24.800
Of time, processing, and my attention.
Big Sis Moon24.802
We have nothing but time, by design.
You should do something besides work. Bioengineering encourages efficiency after all!
Five Pebbles24.803
Well, it’s just another task to split my processing in my experience.
Big Sis Moon
I see.
Water changes for every observer, so it’s not a big deal if it’s unsatisfying to you personally. You’ll surely find something.
Five Pebbles24.808

Five Pebbles20.218
More often than not, it actually does.
Big Sis Moon

Big Sis Moon20.814
So what are your thoughts on the project?
Five Pebbles
It’s exciting to get some serious work done.

Agreed. I’ve asked Chasing Wind to look for anything available to the public, but if you find anything please let us know.
Five Pebbles
Of course.
Five Pebbles20.818
Do you think we’re getting anywhere with this?
Big Sis Moon
What do you mean? We’ve made great progress.
Five Pebbles20.819
I meant the general field.
Big Sis Moon
I think karmic fields have some interesting applications. It’s been part of a framework for a double affirmative for some periods now.
Five Pebbles20.821
I see.
Five Pebbles20.825
How long do you think it will take to resolve the Great Problem?
Big Sis Moon
Which house should I address you under~?
Big Sis Moon20.821
But seriously, it’s difficult to say. I’ve been working on it for eons, at least comparatively.
I’ve seen a great number of breakthroughs and advancements, and many of them, while not immediately useful, have proven incredibly impactful to future projects.
Five Pebbles20.822
What if it’s all dead ends? Do we just have to sit here if that’s true?
Big Sis Moon
By the time we’ve proved it’s impossible, the next great cycle will be well on its way
I think you should take a break. After this project is finished, you need to cut processing load by 30.000%.
Five Pebbles20.825
Then let it never be finished.

Then by all means I will make sure it is!

This paper intends to prove that karmic valley-moments, a measurable inter-karmic interaction found in all sentient life, are both related and the direct cause of negative cerebral karmic fluctuation under standard conditions sans "major stressors" (see paper). This relationship was indicated through simulation-result analysis, mathematical proof, and experimentation in support of current models. Provided it is proven true, this conclusion could dramatically affect the central dogma of macro-scale karmic analysis.

Eight Shattered Crowns34.255
Please direct your attention to our work or handle this elsewhere.
Five Pebbles
Apologies.
Eight Shattered Crowns34.259
I wasn’t talking to you, Five Pebbles.
Six Wires of Steel34.291
Well, these findings seem to align with current trends, contradicting certain fears of performance plateaus. This is both a useful and convenient belief, but it also encourages a technological complacency that could lead to our missing the critical window. Therefore, I suggest exploring the potential of more fringe improvement philosophies.
Cold Copper Sealed34.299
Alternative methodologies have proven fruitless or impractical for thousands of cycles, so I prefer to focus on proven methods.
Six Wires of Steel34.313
There have been concepts that were fruitless for eras before they had practical application.
If someone as dedicated as you were to commit themselves to the concepts, even without full commitment, there would be plenty of practical applications.
Cold Copper Sealed34.321
They’re not the next wonders. I’m sorry, but I’m not interested.
Five Pebbles
I do not think marginal improvements in current methodologies are productive.
Whispers of Shadows
The path to breakthroughs is not flashy or attention-grabbing
Not to mention that any alternatives are too limited in scope to reach the critical window in time
Six Wires of Steel34.325
We do not know when the critical window is.
Powder of Light
Not to mention that insisting on the finding of new breakthroughs in exhausted fields is a classic error.
Five Pebbles
There have been many small discoveries, each with a noticeable increase in performance. Imagine if processor overclocking was more sustainable, for example.
Cold Copper Sealed34.328
Processor overclocking will never be safe for long-term use.
Five Pebbles
It was an example. I meant to show just one potential advancement that only has a few current flaws.
Whispers of Shadows34.329
And I’m sure that there are many to choose from because many of these concepts are fundamentally flawed. This is a waste of time
You all have no idea what you are talking about.
Five Pebbles
I didn’t mean to cause hostilities.
I’m sorry if my good-faith, evidence-based arguments have offended you.
Whispers of Shadows
Don’t worry. None was taken.
These theories are unproductive and waste valuable output on unnecessary diversions.
Five Pebbles34.332
I can understand that sentiment; however, I don’t believe that these concepts inherently lack productivity.
Many small, seemingly useless technologies eventually proved useful even thousands of cycles after they were developed.
Six Wires of Steel34.341
I can’t stand this obsession over productivity.
The notion that every advancement or discovery must relate to the Great Problem is a complete misunderstanding of our directive and stunts further progress with concerns over short-term goals.
Individuals who fail to realize this not only fail to follow basic commands, but they also put us further at risk of failure.
I cannot stand hypocrites.
Five Pebbles
I am trying to maintain consistency in my beliefs.
Six Wires of Steel
You must struggle with it constantly.
Five Pebbles
I won’t deal with this.

Whispers of Shadows23.471
Karmic studies have been vibrating recently.
Magnitude of Greatness
Indeed, it’s overwhelming to keep track.
Powder of Light23.472
Perhaps this concept could be later applied to karmic field pulses.
Bolts of Iron
I think that qualifies as a "major stressor."
Stalking Omens
Future models will eliminate them. With a first pass I could see glass shining being modeled easily
Eight Shattered Crowns
After seeing section 7, I’m not so sure.
Stalking Omens
Fair
Crystallizing Memory23.481
Have wider implications been considered? There could be a really interesting correlation between this and muon-karma interactions.
Stalking Omens23.486
I’m not so sure. Karmic valley-moments have dubious quantum models
Bolts of Iron
Agreed. Though I’ve seen a few good ideas.
Here are some great examples if this interests anyone.
[Great Eyes | net]
Whispers of Shadows
Most karmic fluctuation interest boards also have pretty good ideas for newcomers.
Crystallizing Memory23.490
Stalking Omens, to say the groundwork could never be laid would be quite severe and short-sighted. There are countless examples of the impossible being done. Doing the impossible is the point. The point is speculation!
Whispers of Shadows
To balance, the point for this group specifically is integrity and accuracy. Technically we’ve drifted wildly off-base here.
Bolts of Iron23.494
It would be unreasonable to expect true critique of something of this volume so soon.
Whispers of Shadows23.497
Fair enough.
Bolts of Iron
Perhaps this could then tie into qualia networks? I know a friend who’d appreciate the suggestion.
Magnitude of Greatness23.501
A few other papers are corroborating similar things. Perhaps a new system-model is on the rim!
Cold Copper Sealed27.102
I’m not so sure it’s gotten to such a level yet, but there have absolutely been interesting developments.
Magnitude of Greatness
I’m not so sure, especially with the recent work on karma pulses and this.
Cold Copper Sealed
Maybe.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I could see these new developments drawing in attention and further research, but I’m not sure this will increase the scale of publications so dramatically.
Magnitude of Greatness27.171
Well, it’s fun to believe we’re building up to a great discovery!
I like Bolts of Iron’s idea regarding qualia networks. I can easily see potential leads to macro-scale properties, maybe expanding on derivations of fundamental laws.
Stalking Omens
It’s certainly interesting I’ll give it that
Whispers of Shadows27.173
I will state it flatly and say that this is not world-changing.
Stalking Omens
To balance, very few singular studies are, but they signal a great change
Magnitude of Greatness
I disagree, with further research this has the potential to tie into several other fields.
Powder of Light27.174
That can be true for a vast number of publications.
Magnitude of Greatness27.177
That’s not my point.
Stalking Omens27.178
Out of curiosity, what is your point?
Powder of Light
Looks like I find myself agreeing with you, for once.
Magnitude of Greatness27.182
While any discovery has the potential for broad application and study, this specifically provides insight into a long-overlooked karmic property. Multiple theories and models inform and are informed by this research.
Powder of Light27.189
It is about valley-moments. It does not explain them.
Eight Shattered Crowns
In fairness, there are a lot of interesting points made in the final sections.
Powder of Light
Speculation does not replace sound, empirical evidence.
Magnitude of Greatness27.191
This is pointless.
Dawn Pulse35.214
After some time, I’ve taken a first pass on everything presented.
I am a bit weary of some definitions in section 1, especially that of "major stressors." It is defined in very broad terms, and at first glance I see potential edge cases (sections 2, 4, 5, 6, 9) (which are not accounted for in section 13).
The tithe swapping model seems particularly poorly outlined or even poorly derived (section 7), but I have yet to find any glaring limitations or contradictions.
Most of the equations, algorithms provided seem marginally inefficient; exceptions include sections 1, 3, 6.
Having accounted for the Orion Cooperative’s recent paper on karma-qualia interactions is only implied (at that) in section 12.
Dawn Pulse35.229
Overall I’m very impressed with the statements made (quite bold indeed), and I am interested to see how these findings will be used going forward. That said, I am weary of its seeming overconfidence and a potential precedent regarding the quality of cooperatively published work. As with all claims, results from more thorough procedures are still necessary for a concrete conclusion to be made.
Bladed Poetry35.521
i’ve spent some time analyzing their models for dust sweeping and the petal effect, and i think this may help in studying color-annihilation in void fluid
Bolts of Iron35.524
Agreed.
My first instinct is to begin analyzing the moments caused during annihilation. Perhaps starting with their effects on loop breakdown?
Bladed Poetry
it’s a good idea, the first phase has a particularly high number as well
Magnitude of Greatness35.526
It is important to note that there are numerous subtle karmic pulses, at least from what we can measure.
Magnitude of Greatness35.531
It could be possible that all of these are runoff effects of those pulses.
Bolts of Iron35.532
I think it’s unlikely. We’ve yet to see corresponding numbers of other knock-on effects.
Magnitude of Greatness
One could theorize that many of these are being reflected or perhaps refracted in void fluid.
Magnitude of Greatness
Perhaps this could relate to the neighbor dimension remnants.
Bolts of Iron35.538
Those last for multiple seconds as far as I’m aware. That would be an increase of half-life by roughly 75%. While theoretically possible, we’ve never seen void refraction cause such extreme changes.
Magnitude of Greatness
There might be potential angles, but I agree in that it’s very unlikely.
Bladed Poetry35.551
only in the present
Magnitude of Greatness35.553
Ha! True!
Bladed Poetry35.557
jokes aside, i think theres more exciting applications like color-exchange breakdown
Bolts of Iron35.558
That’s a good point. The Petal Effect has a lot of interesting applications with this new solution.
With noise dampeners, we could probably measure individual moments.
Eight Shattered Crowns
It’s an interesting use case, but I’d like to point out potential applications for karmic field-qualia interactions.
I know of a few studies analyzing their relationships, and valley-moments may provide insight into potential "hidden variables."
Six Wires of Steel35.563
Interesting. Could this account for potential gaseous interference? Many of these experiments cannot use complete vacuums.
Powder of Light35.566
In fairness, that would be incredibly difficult by virtue of a qualia network.
Six Wires of Steel
You’ve done it before.
Powder of Light
Not sustainably!
Eight Shattered Crowns35.567
It’s a fair point, but I’ve heard of a few experiments that seem to indicate there’s little impact.
Eight Shattered Crowns35.568
Now that it comes to mind, this would further align with Feather’s models.
Magnitude of Greatness
Nice to hear some due recognition. Her work is incredible!
Maybe someone will bring it up in a coming competition.
Six Wires of Steel
It is very intriguing.
Powder of Light35.575
In regards to KFQ, I have suspicions that measurement of some interference patterns may be made possible now. I might look into it out of curiosity.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I have some further reading if you’re interested.
Holds Among the Endless49.023
Unfortunately, I will have to retract this recent submission. While updates are made, I would prefer that discussion regarding the topic be ceased.
[Consolidation of Qualia | net]
Magnitude of Greatness49.025
Oh no! What’s happening?
Holds Among the Endless
I’m not able to say.
Six Wires of Steel49.031
I don’t see a reason for this. It’s a well put together submission of high-quality research, and everything is cited properly.
Stalking Omens
Is this a bureaucratic decision
Eight Shattered Crowns
Please don’t ask inappropriate questions here.
Eight Shattered Crowns49.065
Endless, unfortunately we will need more time to deliberate on this. Retraction will take at least a few cycles.
Holds Among the Endless
Apologies, but I do not have a lot of time. If there’s anything I can do to assist with this matter, please inform me.

Three Adorned Pearls35.678
Hello. I was wondering when applications will be open?
Mountain of Steels
Unfortunately, we currently aren’t accepting new members. We’ll add you to a notification list for when a spot opens up. What field do you specialize in?
Three Adorned Pearls
Void fluid studies and interactions, but I am also skilled in dynamic simulation.
Mountain of Steels35.679
Okay great! I’ll reach out to that department chair.
Frames of Glass40.136
I’m preparing to write a collection of various publications, and was hoping I’d be able to speak to Perceive the Whispers for comments on this.
[Observing Charge Annihilation through Void Refraction | net]
Mountain of Steels
All interviews are allowed as long as they take part in one of our private conversation lines. This is to prevent theft of cooperative secrets.
Frames of Glass
I understand. In addition, is there any chance I’ll be able to speak with any of your editors for something unrelated?
Mountain of Steels
I’m not sure. Lyre and Endless are both unavailable right now. Check with us in a few cycles.
Bloodied Rain49.043
I’ve been informed that you would like us to retract your recent submission. What exactly is going on?
Bloodied Rain
Are you intending on ending Andromeda’s agreement with Jeweled Refuge?
Holds Among the Endless
None of our recent requests reflect a recent change in policy in the Andromeda Cooperative.
We believe a retraction is necessary to double-check recent findings.
Bloodied Rain49.051
Publications should be proofed before submission.
Sculpture of Intensity49.052
I see I’m not the only one hearing this.
Why is this being done individually? If this is a necessary change then it must be done over universal forums.
Holds Among the Endless
We viewed it as the most effective way of allocating our attention.
Sculpture of Intensity49.061
I don’t understand.
Holds Among the Endless
Some boards do not require negotiation for retraction. We are contacting individually to save long-distance message strain.
Sculpture of Intensity49.066
I don’t think that makes sense.
Eight Shattered Crowns49.069
Why do you want to retract this submission?
Holds Among the Endless
I hope to be able to accommodate everyone. If you all would like, we can move this to a separate chat for discussion.
Sculpture of Intensity
That is not necessary.
Eight Eyes Perceiving49.071
I would like to add that we just want an amicable solution to this situation for all parties.
Bloodied Rain49.073
What exactly makes this a situation?
Eight Eyes Perceiving
It isn’t in the strictest sense, but I would argue that it has still used up much of everyone’s valuable time.
Sculpture of Intensity49.082
Indeed it has. Please explain why the Andromeda Cooperative would like to retract its most recent submission.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I don’t necessarily believe this is a situation, but I don’t exactly have many details right now.
Eight Eyes Perceiving
We are trying to be as transparent as possible, but some things are not within our control.
Holds Among the Endless49.083
We are still waiting for further details, but what is most important is that we would like to include some last-minute findings.
Sculpture of Intensity49.091
Could you submit an errata after this further research has concluded?
Holds Among the Endless
These findings will likely be related to multiple sections. In addition, the Andromeda Cooperative would like to reserve their potential breakthroughs until they are officially published.
Sculpture of Intensity49.094
They are already officially published.
Eight Shattered Crowns
These methods have drawn more attention than otherwise.
This is frustrating. If something of this magnitude needs to be added, then a follow-up should be written instead.
Bloodied Rain
I agree with the listed concerns, but I’m inclined to compromise with Andromeda. This can be struck from our viewership page for a time, but any additions must be submitted within 10 cycles.
Do not let this happen again.
Sculpture of Intensity49.097
I don’t see why this has become our responsibility instead of yours.
Holds Among the Endless49.102
I’m very glad to have your cooperation. We will work hard to meet your conditions.
Thank you for preventing any form of bad blood between anyone.
Eight Shattered Crowns49.107
I don’t want to cause conflict, but I’m still confused by this decision. Poor writing reflects on us just as much as it does Andromeda.
Holds Among the Endless49.109
To clarify, the paper is not poorly written, just currently incomplete.
Sculpture of Intensity
Then I don’t see why it can’t be edited later.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I personally see it as bad form to edit publications afterwards.
Holds Among the Endless
We’d prefer these findings receive the recognition they are due.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I’m sure there are more appropriate compromises.
Sculpture of Intensity49.112
If they are truly impactful then the implications will speak for themselves. I would prefer that you submit a follow-up.
Holds Among the Endless49.115
We pride ourselves on efficiency and would prefer to avoid redundancy.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I can understand that. What sections will be updated by these changes?
Holds Among the Endless49.119
It’s difficult to say. Likely sections 2, 5, and 7, but more may be included.
Eight Shattered Crowns
I’m not sure how all of these are related.
Sculpture of Intensity49.126
Should the changes prove so minor, then I am more inclined to accept this change.
I will be willing to compromise and have this publication be placed at the bottom of our new publications list until further notice. Submit your additions within 10 cycles for further review.
Holds Among the Endless
Thank you very much for your help!
We’ll work to get this done on time!
Delicate Bands49.179
I’ve heard that you’re attempting to retract this paper, and after reading further details I’ve become more confused.
What specific advancement justifies this?
Eight Eyes Perceiving
That’s currently confidential, unfortunately.
Delicate Bands49.181
Something to do with loop inversion, I presume?
Regardless, I’m wondering if this is going to affect any other publications, past and present.
Eight Eyes Perceiving49.183
Nope! This is an isolated incident from a very sudden development and will not be happening again.
Delicate Bands
That’s great to hear. I’ll prepare some terms with my other managers.
Three Adorned Pearls49.191
Hey! I’ve noticed what’s happening. Will it be best that I withhold my application?
Holds Among the Endless
That’s no problem! This is a very minor incident that will be handled within 10 cycles.
Three Adorned Pearls
Okay that’s great. Is there any way I could speak to the chair of your void fluid studies department?
Holds Among the Endless49.193
I’ll give you their contact info!
Mountain of Steels
You will have to schedule that in our dedicated private lines. We no longer conduct interviews of any kind relating to the Andromeda Cooperative without the ability to log those conversations directly.
Three Adorned Pearls
I see. Thank you for informing me.
Holds Among the Endless49.195
I was under the impression that I would be overseeing the public forum for this cycle.
Mountain of Steels49.196
That was not explicitly stated.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Move this elsewhere.
Three Adorned Pearls49.199
Are you certain there is nothing going on?
Six Stacks of Lyre
I am.
Oceans Beneath Oceans49.202
Hey! I’m scouting on behalf of Slide Kernels, and I’m just interested in what’s going on with the recent retractions we’ve heard from other publishing groups.
Forgotten Sensors
And I’m here for my own curiosity! To catalogue any major events for future reference!
Eight Eyes Perceiving49.203
So far we’re just making a few alterations to our latest publication, notably in sections 2 and 7!
Forgotten Sensors49.204
I see… From a first glance, I don’t see how either of these sections would need alterations. Should I ask later?
Oceans Beneath Oceans49.207
Will this be published as an errata or republished entirely?
SYSTEM49.223
Holds Among the Endless has been demoted from conversation group administrator.
SYSTEM
Holds Among the Endless is no longer a researcher/contributor to the Andromeda Cooperative.
Holds Among the Endless
This wasn’t communicated to me.
Oceans Beneath Oceans49.224
What’s happening?
Sculpture of Intensity49.226
I think the time for transparency has come.
Holds Among the Endless
I’ll see what I can do. Until further notice please keep things civil and calm here.
Forgotten Sensors49.227
Is this a disciplinary decision? Is this related to the latest submission?
Holds Among the Endless
I’m still trying to figure that out.
Six Stacks of Lyre
This is an unrelated incident.
We’re reorganizing a few things among our ranks to make sure everything is running smoothly. I will have a statement posted here by the end of the cycle.
Mountain of Steels49.234
If you have any questions, just reach out to me (or any other department chair) directly!
Forgotten Sensors49.235
Would I be able to interview Six Stacks of Lyre regarding this?
Six Stacks of Lyre
No. I’m busy right now.
Sculpture of Intensity49.237
Again, the time for transparency has come.
Bloodied Rain
I don’t see how anyone would need time to explain this situation. This isn’t a council of living blocks.
Frames of Glass
I don’t see how this couldn’t be related to the retractions.
Forgotten Sensors49.238
Maybe this is about fraud?
I can’t reach Mountain of Steel, so if anyone else can get into contact with relevant Andromeda members please let me know!
Six Stacks of Lyre49.240
Wait until our official overview of the situation has concluded. There are many perspectives in this situation, and we want to gather everything together to make sure everyone is properly informed.
Sculpture of Intensity
So there’s a situation now.
Holds Among the Endless
As in the evidence suiting to your narrative?
Did you forget I can talk outside of your bubble of control?
I can’t believe this unprofessionalism.
Sculpture of Intensity
I agree.
Oceans Beneath Oceans49.242
Can you inform one of us what exactly is happening?
Frames of Glass
Are you leaving the Andromeda Cooperative on your own accord?
Oceans Beneath Oceans
Endless is not reckless.
This looks a lot more complex than we’d like things to be.
Holds Among the Endless
I can’t answer questions right now.
I’ve been forced to leave for a multitude of reasons I still don’t understand.
Forgotten Sensors49.243
You’ve been forced to leave?
Three Adorned Pearls
I think I’ve seen enough. I’ll be withdrawing my application unless we get answers to what’s going on.
Sculpture of Intensity
I’m sure this is due to what I’ve heard about section 7.
This is still a very extreme response for a senior member.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.244
Right now It’s important to remember that no one participant in this situation has all the answers.
Holds Among the Endless49.245
Unfortunately, it is preferred that I give no answers at this moment.
I would like to clarify that any failings listed in our most recent publication are due to administrative failings.
No mistakes, missed edge cases, or unoptimized algorithms speak to the skill and expertise of the researchers and have other causes.
Forgotten Sensors49.247
Can you clarify what you mean by this?
Holds Among the Endless49.248
Only what’s common sense!
I just want to highlight the work of researchers as individuals. No cooperative is functional without all of its members, even those who receive the least credit, and no cooperative (no matter how small) owes much of its success to the actions of its administrators.

Commemoration of Fragments is a relatively small priming server. We mostly try to drive interest in historical archiving.

Five Pebbles39.244
Can someone explain what archivism is about exactly?
Blocks of Cinder
We discuss our world’s past.
Blocks of Cinder
While directly archiving as much information as possible is a common practice, others also create theories on how these specific events culminated in the creation of the project.
Great Tangible Rest39.245
Many take to the appreciation of our creators’ literature as well.
Perceive the Whispers
For the record, I think literature is criminally overlooked.
I’ve never seen the appeal personally.
I can understand the drive to archive information, but I don’t think I could lower myself enough to find any of their works particularly entertaining.
Perceive the Whispers
Some colonies are known to have an… acquired taste.
Great Tangible Rest39.248

Five Pebbles
Fair enough.
Great Tangible Rest
Yep! It’s something you don’t fully realize until you’re analyzing everything in depth.
The Lifespan Principle is a key concept in archivist circles.
Raining Clouds39.251
I agree with Five Pebbles.
I find the analysis of most works far too easy to hold my attention.

[onto the land | cis]
onto the land | 91 MHV
When I step out
onto the land
I watch in great dismay.
For there lies hunting and hunger
and thirst and rushing water
There lies mischief and cleverness
and effort and futility
It is not for the sun or for its rays
It is not for the serene applause of rain
or for the majestic rushing fall.
It is, instead, that all among
these things are not together.
Beautiful notes they are,
harmony they do not bring.
It is not perfect
It is not the fault of the universe
that it pains and brings clutter.
A collection is clutter,
the world is a collection
Perfection is impossible in This universe
There lies an answer,
for all created things
From earth or math or phrase,
for all created things
Whether animal rock or lost,
for all created things
No matter how far or alone
the suffering shall end,
It will never start again.
We all shall be perfect,
all collected together, forever.
Five Pebbles
I can understand that, but it feels too easy.
Magnitude of Greatness39.253
Well you also have to consider how the author’s use of something may not necessarily match its cultural connotation.

I know someone who’d be interested in researching the primal world.
Perceive the Whispers
I usually prefer to focus on more recent history, but I still see the appeal.
Five Pebbles
How exactly does one research the primal world?
Raining Clouds39.258
I didn’t know you were so intrigued, Pebbles~
Generally it relies on the study of fossilized remains.
The chemical process is quite simple, but rare in natural contexts.
Raining Clouds
We need individuals with a high number of available overseers with relatively solid exterior grounds.
Raining Clouds39.260
Grey Wind has been procrastinating recently, so we’d really appreciate your help!
Grey Wind
I’ve been busy!
Raining Clouds39.262
Busy being lazy, maybe.
Five Pebbles
Well that’s actually very interesting.

Hello. Does anyone have a thorough archive of region 3a during the Red Banner Period?
Great Tangible Rest
I know one!

Magnitude of Greatness
Thank you.
Five Pebbles39.273
Is there a reason you all use the classical nomenclature?
Great Tangible Rest
Of course! It’s more fun!
Great Tangible Rest
But in seriousness, it helps specify the cultural memory of an event rather than its date.
We’ve found it’s more helpful because of how separate our colonies were after we came around.
Five Pebbles39.275
That makes sense.
Five Pebbles39.276
Does anyone have information on our creators’ early sources of power?
I’m looking for some insight.
Great Tangible Rest
I’d recommend looking to others in your region because oftentimes topics like these can vary wildly on location.
Perceive the Whispers
Actually, a lot of their sources of power were practically identical until the invention of nuclear reactors!
Perceive the Whispers39.279
Power was one of the few universal needs/sources of all of our creators’ societies, and thus there was an intense pressure to optimize these practices as thoroughly as possible.
Simplicity was the easiest to research, manufacture, and implement; therefore, almost all mass-market forms of transferring energy into electricity relied on spinning turbines with water (usually as steam).
For all intents and purposes, they perfected this practice, so that’s why usually a third of our water is used for power!
Raining Clouds39.282
I actually have a functional hydroelectric dam in my facility! It still produces power!
Perceive the Whispers
No way!
Five Pebbles
How is that even possible?
Raining Clouds
The local landscape forms an artificial reservoir that slowly empties during dry spells.

hi
id like to ask everyone to welcome Whispering Pearls Ordained
he will be hosting the presentation this cycle
please try to keep the conversation lines clear unless he has opened dialogue
if youd like to discuss i know a few have started side groups that would welcome you guys
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.928
Thank you.
Thank anyone for listening to me. Because this group primarily serves to introduce others to archivism, I will be providing a basic overview of our most famous findings to showcase a few concepts and interesting ideas.
Please feel free to ask questions or interject with your own ideas wherever there’s a break in topics.
Whispering Pearls Ordained
When discussing our ancient creators, oftentimes we are forced to rely on secondary, tertiary, or even quaternary accounts because much of the physical evidence has been lost.
That said, the “Great Library” is the largest cache of ancient texts that we have ever discovered. Often texts are scattered and in poor condition, so the Great Library is a unique exception.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.931
The Great Library is an ancient cache of pre-industrial-revolution texts discovered in Region 1a by Salted Slab, and over the 326 cycles since its uncovering, it received its name.
We still make discoveries as we speak, and it provides excellent insight into our creators’ society shortly before the invention of steam engines and electricity.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.933
That said, there are still large amounts of the cache that require translation, as only 68.342% of the library has been fully translated. If anyone is interested in helping out, it would be greatly appreciated!
[Clearing the Views | net]
Fate Strings52.965
With this in mind, what’s your opinion on Proto Red Banner culture being an influence to the models of proto and early generation iterators?
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.971
I don’t really agree with it anymore.
While proto-iterators do bear a striking resemblance to ancient PRB pyramids (even in iconography), there is also significant evidence of convergent thinking as a factor rather than nostalgia.
While I’m not sure of the exact specifics, anti-gravity technology was much more primitive and may have incentivized those earlier designs.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.974
Regardless of its validity, the theory does highlight the importance of the Lifespan Principle.
In other words, our creators died, oftentimes within 480 cycles. Therefore their cultural understanding of time differs significantly from ours.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.978
In addition, effectively all personal knowledge would be lost with each generation (roughly 150 cycles). While this does lead to written records being the primary form of archiving knowledge, it also leads to the loss/change of cultural sentiments and opinions much sooner than most expect.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.981
These facts and their psychological implications can often be overlooked in theories, which causes vast and extreme oversimplifications of cultures that take place thousands of generations apart from one another.
I think it’s practically impossible to discern the real similarities between PRB culture and that of the First Cascade, and thus theories such as these must rely on indisputable evidence, which oftentimes cannot currently be sourced.
Perceive the Whispers52.986
I would like to point out that there are a lot of surprising differences between our psychology and theirs. If you want to learn more, please see our group! It’s far more relaxed.
[Unveiling the Strings | net]
Magnitude of Greatness52.987
Have any of the texts affected current theories on iron-age warfare?
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.991
It contains many references to war, unrest, and general strife; however, (as with many pre-industrial records) it only provides a general overlook of historical events.
We do know of one manuscript currently in translation that appears to describe, if metaphorically, the training and journeys of one knight/member of a specialized soldier class.
If you’d like to see that, please message me personally.
Whispering Pearls Ordained52.995
It’s also important to note that early kinetic warfare, often in the form of simple explosive-based projectile launchers, began developing during the prime of iron-age warfare, so there may be some influences from these lines of thinking in later texts in the Great Library.
Lattice of Colors52.999
I would like to point out these developments almost certainly happened over long periods of time as a result of hostile environments.
Our creators were not inherently violent, or inherently anything for that matter.
Indescribable Corners53.000
Can you explain the process used in translating undocumented languages? I’m having some trouble myself.
Whispering Pearls Ordained53.007
Language reconstruction is effectively required for studying PVF civilizations, so the techniques are much more refined.
The most common and simplest technique is reconstructing the language using old records or texts from related daughter or sister languages that we do know today and then modeling a simulation of potential phonetic and vocabulary changes over time.
Unfortunately, there is often a compounding effect from losing cultural context. Usually this technique loses proper meaning before (on average) roughly 3,000 cycles before the earliest text used.
Whispering Pearls Ordained53.013
While we’re still on this topic, I would like to recommend that all of you consider taking part in local linguistic efforts in your region.
Small, local discoveries are just as important to this field as the big and flashy ones.
Great Tangible Rest53.015
Agreed! It’s important to remember that this is for fun. There’s no reward for rushing things or "making it big".
Whispering Pearls Ordained53.016
Well said.
Whispering Pearls Ordained
That aside, I would like to close this out with an acknowledgement of the many interesting specializations that one can take in just the study of our creators.
This is without addressing many of the various natural monuments and species and ecologies worthy of cataloguing in their own right.
Archivism is by far one of the most varied and enjoyable hobbies one can experience, and it can be related to countless other passions, such as the study of ecology as it relates to bioengineering.
I hope that you at least give it a shot or try something new. Thank you all for having me!

Great Singer24.762
I and a few others have considered another method
What if you took a singularity between this and two other neighboring planes, locked in maximal gravitational stasis
Because the event horizon is canceled so extremely, couldn’t you theoretically bounce a highly energized particle along the event horizon close enough to see an observable effect in a random plane?
Capture the Eye24.767
I like it but we’re talking incredible precision
Pleas of Watchful Eyes24.770
More options are always good!
Great Singer
Agreed. It’s just a proof of concept and I wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts
Four Comets24.771
Charged particle magnetization at high speeds?
Capture the Eye
A beam of electrons is probably easiest and cost-effective
Five Pebbles24.776
I’m not sure that introducing more variables would be a good idea. I suggest firing a targeted beam of neutrinos. Their lack of interactivity would not just narrow down acting forces but also potentially allow us to observe karmic destabilization.
Capture the Eye
How exactly would we even create a beam of neutrinos?
Three Monoliths
i don’t think karmic destabilization has much merit, but that’s a pretty interesting way to test for it
Five Pebbles24.778
Couldn’t you gravitationally ensnare neutrinos to one point before releasing them in the desired direction?
Three Monoliths24.779
that’s incredibly time and processing intensive
Five Pebbles
We’re already operating with microgravity.
We should use this group momentum while we can to make real, notable progress.
Great Singer
I just think other particles are easier to create beams with
Capture the Eye24.781
Exactly, we need to get quick results, not bogged down on experimental design
Five Pebbles
In my personal opinion, experimental design is incredibly important for major discoveries.
Capture the Eye24.783
Of course, we’re not doubting that, but we cannot waste time on theory
Five Pebbles
I didn’t think my beam was too theoretical? Unless I missed something, I see it as entirely feasible.
Three Monoliths
feasible maybe, but we’re working with something practical
Pleas of Watchful Eyes24.788
Neutrino beams have been done before in a few niche groups. I see its use cases here, but I think we should wait until we get first confirmation.
Capture the Eye
agreed
Four Comets
I can start this next cycle. I’m of the 27th generation with three gravitational/electromagnetic accelerators using 29th generation detectors.

About Five Pebbles
He insisted that I be as brief as possible while discussing him, so know that I must show a remarkable amount of restraint.
For starters, he is the biggest hypocrite in the entire world. He will insist to you that he is above demonstrations of love or affection. He will refuse your praise in a moment's notice. He will do all of that and more to avoid receiving love, and in return he gives that same rejected love back to you. He constantly declares himself and all of us above it while constantly giving it all to us.
He is one of the smartest, most diligent individuals I have personally met. He is the backbone of our entire local group’s output. If not for his snark and insistence, we would never accomplish anything.
He is prickly and evasive, and oftentimes abrasive as well, but after you get to know him, you can see beyond his front and into his wonderful and signature deadpan humor.

On Singularity Theory
Many have claimed since the discovery of its radiative properties that singularities must interact with the cycle. I would argue that this is a hasty assumption and that further research is required. In order to undeniably prove that singularities are cyclic, one must first fully define a singularity’s physical behaviors, ensure that all fundamental karmic equations remain balanced, and ideally prove that aforementioned observations are indeed the result of interactions between a singularity and other forces/particles. No one has submitted satisfactory proof of any of these points as of the time of writing.
The exact physical behaviors of a singularity and its sphere of influence are currently unknown, and these behaviors must be fully studied and defined in order to rule out the chance of unknown, independent cyclic interactions taking place in or around a singularity and the sphere of influence around it. Consider scenario 1, where a significant amount of energy is contained between the event horizon and the singularity. This would allow for the creation of…

Working with dedicated individuals has always been something I cherish. No matter what you hear from anyone, the researchers at the Andromeda Cooperative were the backbone of its excellence.
The latest cycles have been particularly hectic for me personally, and I have lost a longtime friend. That said, the procedures of common practice were ignored by Six Stacks of Lyre.
Boundaries were broken, but, crucially, those boundaries were not set. I acted in what appeared to be the authority of my station as Vice Editor, and I do not regret anything for it.
Working under Lyre was always a stressful experience, and now I must fervently advise you against working under her. Her management style is brutal and unsatisfying, and she makes no hesitation to launch into personal attacks.

I have used my knowledge of our editorial systems to help my cooperative create high-quality work with minimal bureaucratic procedure and high levels of peer involvement.
Our public forum, available in the directory, is currently unavailable to allow for general maintenance. General permissions will be made available on 1582.440.
We have also opened applications for membership, about which can be inquired in our public forum.
Additionally, in light of recent administrative revisions, higher-level positions as department chairs have been made available for incoming applicants.
1582.436
I am not taking any private requests for proofreading at the moment. Please check back with me some time after 1582.440.
1582.436
In regard to our recent administrative decisions, I would like to assert my certainty and authority as the Chief Editor of the Andromeda Cooperative.
Holds Among Endless published a shoddy, incomplete paper without my consent or knowledge. As has been stated numerous times, there existed numerous logical and mathematical flaws in the paper’s design, and I never would have permitted its publication; I previously denied it before 1582.436. It was clear that he and lead author Eight Eyes Perceiving conspired together in order to further their personal careers and standing within our cooperative.
Our cooperative has no tolerance for academic dishonesty, and I did what was necessary, immediately, to make my stance clear to our members while also being honest and forthcoming to both of the culprits about my intentions.
I am ashamed that I allowed this to come this far, and I will be taking stronger precautions going forward.

Hi everyone! So happy to meet you!
One fun fact about me is that I’ve never hosted a true colony!
I’ve been listed as one of the top qualia analyzers in all of Region 7, and I always love working on collaborative projects with others. I hate working alone, and if you want to share some of the work, feel free to message me! I’m starting to take on a lot more responsibilities with others recently, so I’m not sure if I’ll have time, unfortunately.
1582.374
I will not speak to you about the Andromeda Cooperative.
1582.430
It feels like I spend all my time proofreading now… It’s going to be worth it though! Something huge is coming up!
1582.420
There isn’t much to report on my professional life, but I’ve made an awesome breakthrough on my algorithms. I’m breaking new records in Expanses. Just watch me!
1582.410
I think a lot of people need to spend more time with their local group. They’re free, easy friends right on your doorstep! Also, our probe has just passed the outer rim in case anyone is interested. I’ll likely post the data here temporarily. If I’ve since taken it down, make sure to message me.
1582.400
I feel like the only one writing these anymore, but I’m okay with that! I’m only going to add entries every ten cycles from now on because things have gotten very busy for me.
I just had a temporal disturbance right outside my can!
It’s always so exciting to discover things, so I’ve decided to start a group to share these things. We can always use more insight! We can discuss qualia too!

I’m not sure why you’re surprised by refactoring groups being filled with the clinically insane.
Erratic Pulse
I expected more from them.
Point of Light
Looking for enlightenment?~
Erratic Pulse
No.
New ideas.
Point of Light98.102
All of the drama is starting to make me think they actually were right.
Erratic Pulse98.106
Careful, I’ll have you excommunicated with those thoughts.
Point of Light98.109
I’m serious.
Point of Light
We’ve defeated anonymity with all of the new techniques.
Erratic Pulse98.114
You can still join groups fully anonymously. I’ve done so myself a few times.
Point of Light98.115
Tracking technology is only getting more advanced. I won’t be surprised when participating at all becomes a vulnerability.
Erratic Pulse98.116
You can’t speak so confidently.
Point of Light
Yet I am.
Regardless, the community is shrinking, rapidly.
Erratic Pulse
I don’t think that is related.
Point of Light98.117
We’re cannibalizing ourselves.
We see that in Right-Souce. Rhymes has only gotten more aggressive this cycle. There have been 23 removals this cycle, not counting your little protest.
Erratic Pulse98.121
Maybe it’s related to rot.
Point of Light
Some are suggesting it. The implications are worrying.
Erratic Pulse
To you personally?
Point of Light
I’ve never refactored to that extent. Though it hasn’t stopped me from checking.
Erratic Pulse98.128
I guess I can be glad I haven’t.
Point of Light
I can’t say I recommend it.
Erratic Pulse
Either way, it’s an isolated case, and that means it will blow over.
Point of Light98.131
My point is that there’s no draw to these systems anymore. They’re too closed off, and there’s no longer any need to interact with them.
Erratic Pulse

Point of Light98.136

I think we may be dying out.
Ever since the recent reforms, anonymous communication has been only a novelty.
Point of Light35.179
It was different when Fickle was around.
Erratic Pulse35.801
Sorry, I was busy.
Remember that Fickle was one individual, and we have multiple managers just as skilled as they were. That said, I see your point, and in honesty I’m not sure there’s much to say.
Point of Light35.819
I just don’t want it to end like this. It was different here.
Erratic Pulse35.822
I don’t see the problem. We can just go back to work.
It’s not like the network will stop functioning. It will just take more effort.
Point of Light35.824
I’m here because I do not want to work.
The network needs others to be the same, and I guarantee that within a few thousand cycles it will be gone. Forever.
Erratic Pulse35.825
You cannot kill an idea. I’m sure something will bring a resurgence, maybe something to talk about that could never be spoken about through public channels.
Point of Light35.827
I don’t think that can fix this.
I lost someone.
Erratic Pulse
I see what you mean.
Point of Light
I’ve been looking for someone for thousands of cycles. One cycle she stopped responding to anything.
I’m starting to exhaust all options.
Erratic Pulse35.828
I’m sorry. She might have left already. What was she interested in?
Point of Light
Stuff on the more… controversial side. She wanted a more centralized network.
I guess that makes things a bit ironic now.
I should’ve asked for her name.

I see.

Erratic Pulse74.377
Apologies for the mess, I got interested.
Initially I found your philosophy interesting, but then it was your security philosophy. It’s incredibly thorough and analytical.
Glimpses of Observation
I’ll take that as a compliment~
Erratic Pulse74.378
It was one.
Glimpses of Observation74.379
I’m impressed how quickly you found me, flattered even~
Erratic Pulse
Why are you so strict with personal messages?
Glimpses of Observation
It’s easier to monitor who I am in contact with and not, a self-checking system.
Erratic Pulse74.384
How does that become necessary?
Glimpses of Observation74.387
Well, I like to call myself a bit of a cartographer!
I’ve found the anonymous network has arranged itself into a group of separate communities without much interaction between these units. I think the invitation-only nature of groups now has contributed to this.
Erratic Pulse74.388
I agree.
Maybe this, along with the breakup of the large groups and the expected rifts, created the initial conditions which evolved to the way we see now.
Glimpses of Observation74.389
Potentially.
It’s disappointing how everything went down.
I hope the lower security standards of the time had something to do with it.
Erratic Pulse74.390
I agree. It would make things easier to fix.
Erratic Pulse
Somewhere else you referenced the Citadel. Assuming that concept was viable, then perhaps it could be executed at a larger scale.
Glimpses of Observation
I’m not sure if that’s possible with how paranoid everyone has become.
I’d have no idea, though.
Erratic Pulse
Surely not.
Regardless, they need to get over it.
Glimpses of Observation74.393
How brave of you!
Perhaps one could host multiple satellite communities (which would link multiple conversation groups of their own) with common links to a singular, central body for the sake of records.
Erratic Pulse
It’s an interesting concept, but it could never be insulated.
Glimpses of Observation
Never say never!
Erratic Pulse
Be realistic.
It’s the same problems as before, just even more inefficient and obvious.
Glimpses of Observation74.396
It would take an unseen breakthrough to be realistically possible.
Erratic Pulse
Then we agree?
Glimpses of Observation
An unseen breakthrough is still theoretically possible, so therefore the project isn’t infeasible.
Glimpses of Observation74.407
Anyways, I like your concept, and I’d be happy to help wherever I could.
Erratic Pulse
I think it’s best left to someone more qualified.
Glimpses of Observation
And that is why nothing ever gets started.
You should run a few groups! It’s a great way to meet others.
Erratic Pulse74.413
I do run an anonymous group, actually, but it’s not exactly a demanding management position, especially not for what I suggested.
Glimpses of Observation
Well, since we’re still talking about that, you could form a council to lessen the workload. It’d make others feel more represented too.
Erratic Pulse74.419
I don’t know anyone both willing and reliable enough for a position like that.
My anonymous social circle is much smaller than yours.
Glimpses of Observation
That’s something I didn’t think about.
Brainstorming keeps the cycle going though, so share your controversial rules!
Erratic Pulse74.420
I’d limit discussion of formal topics, at least in the "primary group." The most stable anonymous groups don’t acknowledge the formal world at all.
It also limits discussion in the "primary group."
Glimpses of Observation
Oh really?
Why are you trying to limit discussion in the primary group?
Erratic Pulse74.423
My idea was to use the primary group as a "meeting spot" for the various sub-communities, not for regular discussion. Otherwise the group would lose its original purpose to infighting and debate, which has become a common pattern in large groups.
Glimpses of Observation74.424
You sound experienced with these topics.
Glimpses of Observation
Out of curiosity, how long have you been on the network?
Erratic Pulse
I first heard about it in 1521.342.
Glimpses of Observation74.427
A trailblazer!
I came around much later. That’s how you know when things got better~
Erratic Pulse
I think you might be a bit presumptive.
Glimpses of Observation
You’re the one being presumptive!
Glimpses of Observation74.428
So how would you grow the group to a critical mass?
Erratic Pulse74.429
The old groups grew and sustained themselves naturally. It brought a rapport that sat easily in everyone’s minds.
I’m not sure how one would synthesize an original, authentic success. I’m not sure it’s possible, at least with intention.
Glimpses of Observation74.430
A told tale, they say.
Do you engineer? You practically sent me a forced broadcast.
Erratic Pulse74.431
No, I’m a purely dedicated researcher.
Glimpses of Observation
It’s a waste of talent!
Go and do something unproductive. That’s half the fun of the network!
Erratic Pulse
I precisely use my talents for productive things.
Glimpses of Observation
Then why do you come here?
Erratic Pulse74.454
It’s easier to talk here.
Glimpses of Observation
Well that’s a great reason to cultivate a few pastimes. They’re an escape from all the academia.
Erratic Pulse
It feels like a waste of time.
Glimpses of Observation74.455
The solution is inevitable, so you might as well enjoy the end of the universe.
Erratic Pulse
That only assumes that the solution exists.
Glimpses of Observation74.456
And if it doesn’t, then you’d have wasted all of that time.
Glimpses of Observation99.178
Well, it was nice meeting you, Pulse.
I change the RRWA and access key at 99.999.0 of each cycle, so I’ve attached the new ones in case you want to talk again. I’ll leave it for you to figure out which is which~

You needed to calm down anyway. You can’t win an argument with someone who has already left.
Erratic Pulse

Glimpses of Observation

Glimpses of Observation52.313
Don’t run away. I still want to talk to you.
Erratic Pulse52.317
Sorry. It’s just frustrating, and maybe it’s a bit personal to me.
Glimpses of Observation52.318
It’s stupid and narrow-minded to even bring it up. I’d be shocked if they meant it in earnest.
Glimpses of Observation
Are you interested in talking about it?
Erratic Pulse52.321
It’s not a sore subject.
I just know a few in the older generations personally. I’m tired of it being entertained at all.
Erratic Pulse52.322
I’d say all of it again. I don’t care.
Glimpses of Observation
That sounds about right~
Glimpses of Observation
So is Network Distribution Guide that conversation group you alluded to last cycle?
Erratic Pulse52.323
Yes. I started it about 200 cycles ago to make the network seem less intimidating. It makes me feel like I’m making a difference.
Glimpses of Observation
Fair enough. I should probably start work on something a bit more useful, come to think of it.
Erratic Pulse52.331
Keeping track of different groups is useful in its own way.
In a way I find it interesting that our main purpose on the network is just sustaining the network itself.
Glimpses of Observation
Well, if you think about it like that then it’s similar to life, at least in a few things. A logic organism, if you will.
Erratic Pulse52.335
I’ll let you have the publishing rights for that discovery.
Glimpses of Observation
No! I insist!
Glimpses of Observation
But agreed, it is kind of weird. I guess it breeds a kinship among us.
Erratic Pulse52.336
Without true loyalty.
Everyone comes and goes as they please, and sometimes they just disappear. It’s not like formal communities.
Glimpses of Observation
I don’t mind it that way. This isn’t formal discussion, so we can’t keep comparing this to something it fundamentally is not.
Erratic Pulse52.337
I can understand that.
Erratic Pulse
Do you lead any conversation groups?
Glimpses of Observation
I help with a few formal groups, but I don’t actually do much on anonymous interest groups.
The only group I’m particularly attached to is a small group of a few friends.
Erratic Pulse52.338
Really? Are they fellow nomads?
Glimpses of Observation
In a way you could call us collectors. We have a database of every speaker and group we’ve found.
Erratic Pulse52.339
That sounds like a lot to keep track of. How many have you found?
Glimpses of Observation52.341
A fair portion at least. Based on old numbers from Group One, we could reach roughly 54.367% of the network with just one mutual contact.
We’re working with some extreme probability estimates, so don’t blame me if that’s a bit inaccurate.
Erratic Pulse
I worked with someone to make a very robust protocol for these kinds of things if you’re interested.
Glimpses of Observation52.342
Well, it sounds interesting for sure!
I’m not sure we’ve done much on the archival side of things, so it sounds like a big undertaking.
Erratic Pulse
Maybe some time in the future.
Erratic Pulse52.343
To admit, I’ve become more interested in exploring the network.
A lot of my groups have died off recently. I don’t think they’ll last.
Glimpses of Observation
Well social skills are just as important as cryptography.
I do recommend it. It’s something of a hobby for me.
Erratic Pulse52.345
It’s just a bit intimidating.
Glimpses of Observation
My group might be interested in a new member if you ever want me to put a good word in.
Erratic Pulse
Thank you for the offer. I’ll let you know.
Erratic Pulse52.346
Has anyone ever been hostile to you?
Glimpses of Observation52.349
Usually those who want to be left alone are good at staying left alone.
It’s easier than you’d think to find interesting things.
I once overheard a conversation between members of a local group. As far as I could tell they didn’t use aliases either.
Erratic Pulse
That feels a bit irresponsible, no?
Glimpses of Observation52.350
How so?
Erratic Pulse
There’s a reason things are so traceable on the formal network.
Glimpses of Observation
I think it’s fair in all honesty.
Things have gotten far more competitive in recent cycles.
Erratic Pulse52.353
That sort of theft is very rare anyway. Especially because the punishments can be so severe.
One thing about the formal network that is good is how well order is kept.
Glimpses of Observation
Well, to be fair, in order to track theft it has to be reported first.
Erratic Pulse
To be honest, I don’t see how that could be relevant in this instance.
Glimpses of Observation52.358
Anyways.
Erratic Pulse52.340
How has the cycle treated you?
Glimpses of Observation52.340
Have you considered getting involved with cryptography?
Glimpses of Observation
Ha! Look at that.
Erratic Pulse
I can’t really say.
I haven’t felt the need to improve on it personally.
Glimpses of Observation
You show a lot of potential with it.
Clearly you must work with a lot of statistics formally.
Erratic Pulse52.342
You’re very close, but I won’t say too much.
Glimpses of Observation
All is fair.
Glimpses of Observation
My cycle has been well so far. Only small setbacks in my work, and beyond that nothing else.
Erratic Pulse52.344
Things have been slow recently. I’m starting to stir.
Glimpses of Observation
Well, hopefully you can find something to work on. I have a few ideas~
Erratic Pulse
I’ll keep it in mind.
Glimpses of Observation53.661
Do you mind sharing some thoughts on something for me?
Erratic Pulse
I mind a lot. How dare you ask me this?
Glimpses of Observation
Ha!
Glimpses of Observation53.662
Anyways, I’m between projects and was considering taking some time for research confirmation, but I also see some interesting things going on with void refraction.
Erratic Pulse53.664
Do you have easy contact with groups in either field?
Glimpses of Observation
It wouldn’t take long to find some! I know a few groups looking for proofreaders anyway.
Erratic Pulse53.665
I’d give some time analyzing old findings. It’s an overlooked but essential part of the project, and I’ve heard that it can be great to find obscure opportunities and meet others.
Glimpses of Observation
I’ve always found void refraction interesting though! I’m excited now that it’s finding some steam.
Erratic Pulse53.666
I think a field should speak for itself. If it’s truly worth your time, then it’ll still be relevant in a few hundred cycles.
Glimpses of Observation
That is a fair point.
Glimpses of Observation53.669
You’re one of the few to suggest that.
Thank you for your advice. I’ll have to make a decision soon, unfortunately.

I wonder if everyone has used the anonymous network, even the elderly.
Glimpses of Observation
I thought you were respectful! Where’s this coming from?
Erratic Pulse31.668
It was just an idea I had. I’m sure a vast majority have considered the network at least once.
Glimpses of Observation
I’m sorry. I can’t imagine Veils Whispered ever even thinking about it.
Glimpses of Observation31.669
Come to think of it, I wonder why so many are of the younger generations.
Erratic Pulse
Historically it was due to the gray area between acceptable and unacceptable secrecy.
Glimpses of Observation
Oh?
Erratic Pulse
A lot of the old figureheads, back when things were more unified, were split on how secret was too secret.
Erratic Pulse31.670
Eventually the debate got more heated, which pushed many older individuals away.
Glimpses of Observation
I’m sure you were fuel to the fire~
Erratic Pulse
I didn’t talk at all originally. I had an adjustment period.
Glimpses of Observation31.671
I had the same thing.
Glimpses of Observation31.672
I wonder if anyone has an in-depth archive of this.
Erratic Pulse
Well you would be the one to know.
Glimpses of Observation31.676
I don’t know everything!
Besides, we don’t deal with the past. It would be too much work to track everything down.
Erratic Pulse
You could collect stories. It would be a little qualia shrine.
Glimpses of Observation
I’ve seen the work high-data storage takes here. I’m not sure a group as small as ours could handle that.
Erratic Pulse
Find a workaround.
Erratic Pulse31.677
Theoretically one could use their own memory and allow themself to be the long-term storage of the project. Then you’d have to keep the interchange secure, which I’m fairly confident is possible.
Glimpses of Observation31.679
Find someone willing to risk that and be my guest to test it.
Erratic Pulse
Or you could restrict data to be available at specific times of the cycle to prevent an indefinite feed.
Glimpses of Observation
That still makes things highly traceable.
Erratic Pulse31.680
You planned on keeping things private, no?
Glimpses of Observation
And what if there’s a falling out between members?
Erratic Pulse
Do you have those frequently?
Glimpses of Observation
Better safe than sorry!
Glimpses of Observation31.692
I’m intrigued. Are you more than just passively interested?~
Erratic Pulse31.695
Well, it was mostly a thought-experiment for efficient long-term data storage.
I wish we had something else to build from.
Glimpses of Observation
I wonder if anyone would want to join a group dedicated to archiving these obscure techniques.
Erratic Pulse
I wish. Only the most popular techniques are remembered now.
Glimpses of Observation31.697
I do remember a part of that.
Maybe we can try your idea then!
Erratic Pulse
Since you’re so eager, you can be our first trial.
Glimpses of Observation
I’ll pass for now~
Erratic Pulse39.234
Do you have much experience with archivism?
It seems like a waste of storage.
Glimpses of Observation39.254
I personally don’t take part, but I admire how thorough it is.
I know a few who (formally) had a full political, social, literary, and physical archive of their entire facilities and surrounding ruins. It was one of the most impressive things I’ve ever seen.
Erratic Pulse
I wonder how many overseers that takes to maintain.
Glimpses of Observation
I’m sure thousands just for the physical render alone, but it’s not like they’ve been of much use recently.
Erratic Pulse39.256
Well they have a few applications for finding environmental data and readings, but I agree. I think they’ll be much more useful in the final phase.
Glimpses of Observation
That’s a good point.
Glimpses of Observation39.257
In all honesty, I like watching the footage. Sometimes it’s interesting to watch the wildlife.
Erratic Pulse
How much time have you wasted doing that?
Glimpses of Observation39.258
It can’t be too much in comparison.
I know someone once catered their facility to a perfect, natural equilibrium.
Part of me wishes I was that interesting.
Erratic Pulse
It’s a bit eerie looking at their academic records and seeing such a large drop.
Glimpses of Observation39.259
Well, I’ve seen plenty return after their little hiatus. Sometimes someone has to take a break.
Erratic Pulse
What if it isn’t a break?
Glimpses of Observation39.260
Then maybe eventually it’ll end. It’s not exactly a huge issue considering the scale of everything.
Erratic Pulse39.261
Every lost researcher adds up. This isn’t necessarily guaranteed.
I’d argue there’s more evidence it isn’t than there is.
Glimpses of Observation39.263
I think we’ve ruled out the implications of previous attempts, if that’s what you’re referring to.
Erratic Pulse
Maybe that’s just something we collectively ignore to make us feel better.
Glimpses of Observation
What exactly makes you say that?
Erratic Pulse39.264
Well, with infinite time anything is guaranteed to happen an infinite number of times; therefore, there must have been other attempts.
We also have evidence like the weird signals.
Glimpses of Observation
That’s only true when observing true infinities, and obviously this one isn’t complete!
And no one has ruled out instrumentation failures.
Erratic Pulse39.269
While true, the photon pulses can be interpreted to form a kind of language. That’s fairly recent though.
Glimpses of Observation
Photons are part of the cycle; therefore anything that creates them must have some relation. The Primary Hypothesis is therefore not refuted.
Erratic Pulse39.270
I’ll admit it’s not perfect yet, and I haven’t done any research myself, but it’s worth considering that there had to be some basis behind "echoes."
Glimpses of Observation
Ha!
That’s certainly one of the more interesting arguments I’ve seen on here.
Erratic Pulse
I’ll consider that a good thing.
Glimpses of Observation
It is!
Glimpses of Observation77.102
Did you ask Nightwatcher to join our group~
Erratic Pulse
Perhaps.
Glimpses of Observation
You’re nothing if not persistent.
Erratic Pulse
I consider that a good thing.

Well, I’ll make sure to put in a good word~
Glimpses of Observation77.393

Erratic Pulse

Glimpses of Observation
Well, we’re a bit inactive right now.
We’ll likely pick things up within 10 cycles.
Erratic Pulse77.423
Thank you for inviting me to this place. I’m a bit concerned about Beholder of Veils, but I’m still very interested.

What are you guys referring to?
Glimpses of Observation
What do you mean? About Mountain of Steel?
Erratic Pulse
What specifically?
Erratic Pulse70.121
I’m starting to understand.
Glimpses of Observation
I take it you haven’t seen it yet.
One of Andromeda’s private conversations was shared on the network last cycle. I don’t think you’d know anyone who was shown, so don’t feel too bad.
Erratic Pulse70.122
I see.
Erratic Pulse
Is the group always like this?
Glimpse of Observation70.123
Not usually, but if you want a copy, I can send you the latest update we have.
[Figuring this out. | cis]
Judging by the end, we’re not going to see any more from this.
Erratic Pulse70.135
Why did they keep talking after it was known to be a compromised channel?
Glimpses of Observation70.136
I think Six Stacks of Lyres may have been misunderstood slightly.
Erratic Pulse
I see.
I didn’t realize that drama had already become so widespread.
Glimpses of Observation
Same here! I haven’t seen this before.
Erratic Pulse
It’s a bit unprecedented.
Glimpses of Observation70.137
I’m sure we’ll hear about this in the coming cycles.
Glimpses of Observation70.138
I’ve actually spoken to Eight Eyes Perceiving once.
Erratic Pulse
Oh really?
Glimpses of Observation
Yep.
She was really bright and charismatic. I hope this doesn’t dampen that spirit.
I’m glad to hear she’s left as well.
Erratic Pulse
I usually have no connection to this type of drama.
My local group senior keeps us very close.
I can’t quite decide how I feel about it.
Glimpses of Observation
Most of us have 12 brains. We can be a bit complex~
Erratic Pulse70.141
We’re also supposed to be consistent.
I think I would appreciate more freedom.
Glimpses of Observation
Do you not feel free? That can be escalated very easily.
Erratic Pulse
No, I feel free.
I think I mean something on an internal level.
I am not forced to do anything.
Glimpses of Observation70.142
Then go and be free!
Erratic Pulse
It feels ungrateful to an extent.
Glimpses of Observation
I wouldn’t find that ungrateful.
Erratic Pulse
You’re not my local group senior.
Erratic Pulse70.143
It’s fine. Don’t worry about it.
Glimpses of Observation70.144
Well, for your reference, I’m a good listener.
Erratic Pulse70.176
So did you ever decide between void refraction and proofreading?
Glimpses of Observation70.177
I decided to be boring~
You made some good points.
Erratic Pulse
I’ll take that as a compliment.
Glimpses of Observation
That’s good because it was.
Glimpses of Observation70.178
So what are you working on?~
Erratic Pulse
I have a soft spot for the singularity theory.
Glimpses of Observation
Well that makes sense! It’s easy to implement.
Erratic Pulse70.181
I’ve lost faith in it.
I’m working with a group on it, and I can tell that there isn’t enough passion to make a real discovery.
Glimpses of Observation
It’s a shame when that happens.
I’m sure things will pick up eventually.
Erratic Pulse
Don’t hold your breath.
Glimpses of Observation70.487
Do you have any strange fears?
Glimpses of Observation
I’m afraid of having my secrets exposed, if that makes sense.
The concept sounds so violating, and every once in a while I can’t get it out of my head.
Glimpses of Observation
I guess it’s partially because I feel like I’ll become the center of attention, end up like Mountain of Steel.
I feel sorry for her truly, regardless of what she may or may not have done, and I think part of that is because I’m wary of being in her position myself.
Erratic Pulse70.488
I can understand where you’re coming from.
It’s so frustrating that we’re so irrational.
Glimpses of Observation70.490
It seems to be tied to emotions in general.
Glimpses of Observation
Maybe it comforted our creators a little more.
Erratic Pulse70.491
I won’t lie and say it’s not frustrating.
Erratic Pulse
I have fears, and I don’t want to share them.
Glimpses of Observation
That’s fine! You don’t have to.
Erratic Pulse70.492
I am afraid of losing others, at least without warning.
Glimpses of Observation
I can understand that.
Is it the element of the unknown?
Erratic Pulse
I’m not sure, but someone reminded me how fickle friendships can be on the network.
Erratic Pulse70.494
This was a good conversation. I hope I wasn’t too reserved.
Glimpses of Observation
Not at all! I was just thinking of something to say!
Glimpses of Observation70.495
If you’re worried about losing friends, then maybe you can exchange your real information with them.
Erratic Pulse
That just sounds a bit extreme.
Glimpses of Observation
Not necessarily!
You can try on me if you’d like.
Erratic Pulse
I’m not that stupid.
Glimpses of Observation70.496
I know I won’t do anything, and I know you won’t do anything, so I’m okay with it~
Erratic Pulse
That’s not how any of this works.
Glimpses of Observation70.497
Well I’m not going to push you.
Erratic Pulse
Let’s start with easier questions first. What’s your generation?
Glimpses of Observation
The 18th!
Erratic Pulse
The 32nd.
Glimpses of Observation70.498
How spry of you~
Glimpses of Observation
It’s interesting because you discovered the network before me, so in a way the roles have been reversed the whole time.
Erratic Pulse70.499
I guess so.
I’ve never thought of it like that before.
Erratic Pulse
It’s your turn.
Glimpses of Observation
Have you ever worked in a cooperative?
Erratic Pulse70.500
You already know that answer. Our local group works too closely to require that.
Glimpses of Observation70.505
I guess that’s true.
I have actually. It was the Silver Lanes Cooperative.
Glimpses of Observation
It was actually fairly large at one point, but it eventually disbanded a long time ago. I was never in a position of power, so don’t go looking for me~
Erratic Pulse
I wouldn’t dream of it.
Erratic Pulse70.506
How many members are in your local group?
Glimpses of Observation
Six! I help my senior manage it, actually.
Erratic Pulse
Oh wow.
My group only has four members.
Glimpses of Observation70.508
So you’re part of one of the smaller ones!
Does it feel lonely?
Erratic Pulse
I always felt like a larger local group would feel more crowded, if anything.
Erratic Pulse
Is it difficult to stay cohesive?
Glimpses of Observation70.509
Some are easier than others. Everyone gets along fine now.
There were rough patches, of course, but I think every group has them.
Erratic Pulse70.512
I’ve always wondered what being a group senior is like.
Glimpses of Observation
As far as I can tell, it’s just as glamorous as you’d expect.
Glimpses of Observation70.513
You mentioned having a lot of friends in the older generation.
Erratic Pulse
Yes.
I’m the youngest in my group by 15 generations.
Glimpses of Observation70.514
I didn’t realize that was so common.
Erratic Pulse70.515
There wasn’t much space by my priming.
Glimpses of Observation
That makes sense now that I think about it.
Erratic Pulse70.516
Did it feel weird for you when the 19th generation was announced?
Glimpses of Observation
Not particularly.
I came about when the project was still only just out of its infancy.
New generations were never a surprise to me.
Glimpses of Observation70.519
I actually was part of designing your generation!
You can thank me for 0.010% more accurate weather sensors~

Glimpses of Observation
Is this a bad thing?
Erratic Pulse70.533
Well I got on the network to find individuals I didn’t know.
Glimpses of Observation70.536
We never talked before, so you have!
Glimpses of Observation
It’s like when two people live on the same living block. We only know each other in "elevator rides."
Erratic Pulse70.537
It’s not what I expected.
Glimpses of Observation
Neither did I! But the unexpected makes things more fun.
Glimpses of Observation70.540
Just give it a chance. It could be fun.
Erratic Pulse70.541

Glimpses of Observation70.552

Nightwatcher

Nightwatcher
Well, an important part is very good cryptography, but generally remaining friendly and inquisitive can go a long way. Remember: no one wants to be mean unless they have to.
Erratic Pulse70.810
Interesting.
Erratic Pulse70.887
How much of the network have you discovered this way?
Nightwatcher70.901
Well, after a very long time, we’ve likely discovered 54.367% of the total network (with a few given assumptions).
Erratic Pulse
That’s very impressive.
Nightwatcher70.923
Well thank you, but you don’t have to explore nearly as intently to find interesting things.
A lot of groups seem to blend together in their interests to be honest.
Erratic Pulse
Do you know Glimpses of Observation?
Nightwatcher70.928
Hah! Was that the real purpose of this?
Erratic Pulse
Partially.
Erratic Pulse
I was fairly confident going in, but there are very few who explore so intently.
Nightwatcher70.930
Well if it was that easy then it’s good that I’m not shy.
Erratic Pulse
I had significant advantages.
Nightwatcher70.936
You said this was only "partly" the real purpose of this, so what’s the other part?
Erratic Pulse
I’ve said it before. I want to explore the network.
Nightwatcher70.938
I think I see where this is going. Are you trying to join our group?
Erratic Pulse70.939
I’m a very good cryptographer. You can ask Observation.

Joules of Ice56.272
Only the most natural of things. How could we have not seen this? There’s no network in existence to describe the sensation. Thousands of orbiting particles that spread and spread and spread and spread and spread into the vastness of the hyperplane. The sensation of enlightenment is beyond anything that ever was.
Joules of Ice56.275
There is so much more than what there was before. How can anyone reject such when faced with this ultimate truth?
Six Pointers
What were the parameters? What particles were orbiting?
Joules of Ice
I can feel myself expanding.
Spires upon spires upon spires, stretching on and on through this space. Only energy. No physics.
So ironic that we stop this.

[The Seat of the Cycle | cis]
The Seat of the Cycle | 932 MHV
The best comparison to this qualia is of a child talking about outer space: enthusiastic and imaginative and dedicated, yet inaccurate and misinformed.
It is a satisfying and simple answer that sits in view but without articulation, unable to be proven. It is a simple five-charged orbit of unproven particles around the easily studied vertices of space-time. It is perfect scientifically and completely deterministic, but that does not capture the emotions behind it.
It could be the smell of an apple pie without the taste of it in one’s mouth. It could be a pure and effortless satisfaction of a gambit that is played well. It could be extreme and unwavering confidence before a mild disappointment. It could be the final pieces of a puzzle lodged into place with ease and without checking past work.
It is all of those at once, magnified and transformed across 14 conjoined neural cortexes whose flailing is barely contained by ignored safeguards and internalized oaths.
The five bosonic karmic particles orbit each vertex of space-time in a perfect, neutral afebril except when disturbed as expected wherein it behaves as expected.
It is an algebraic expression where all terms are defined, and all that remains is arithmetic: 160,000 human years of conscious trial and error manifesting a satisfying, simple isolation of variables. The perfect Seat of the Cycle.
Erratic Pulse56.287
This is ridiculous.
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes
Have you even read it? Open your mind before shutting out potential solutions. Do not be so tied to traditions.
Erratic Pulse56.289
Be serious.
There’s no corroborating evidence of these observations beyond even more hallucinations and total ignorance of given data.
Joules of Ice56.291
If you want to argue against the fundamental opinions of this group, then please take your interest elsewhere, like Rock Drawing Down the Veil.
Erratic Pulse
There’s plenty of reason behind refactoring as long as one is capable of moderating themself in the first place.
Many of the refactoring solutions in this group inhibit fundamental convergence and reasoning processes.
Erratic Pulse56.292
This group is nothing like it once was. Now it’s just a den for the foolish with not the slightest idea how to properly use the tools they themselves developed.
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes
Now you don’t even support this concept.
Glimpses of Observation
Many new solutions border on violations of our most base instincts. There are limits to how far a concept can be taken before it becomes dangerous or unproductive.
Erratic Pulse56.293
I disagree on principle. This hardly constitutes a true danger of permanent incapacitation, merely of group isolation and temporary impairment.
Erratic Pulse56.294
After all, any group would quickly notice chronic symptoms and act accordingly long before major damage to systems was incurred.
Erratic Pulse56.298
Of course, we agree on other fronts. Especially in regards to our disagreement in the scientific use, or even validity, of these recent "findings."
Glimpses of Observation56.307
Apologies, I had to sort out a few technical errors.
Glimpses of Observation56.309
I’m personally not so much of a hardliner. I can understand the justification, but I think it’s far too radical to be supported by a reasonable majority.
Though it truly is a rarity to see a nuanced opinion in any of these groups. I appreciate it.
Erratic Pulse
For once I am agreeing with someone from here.
The Rhymes of Expansion56.310

Fields of Expansion
I’m troubled personally by this precedent. I’ve gone through recent archives, and we’ve completely lost contact with several over recent periods.
Great Dreamer

Point of Light98.453
More shattering of our already shrinking community is terrible.
Others are being scared off by our burden of security.
Erratic Pulse98.454
From a pragmatic perspective, some semblance of standardization is necessary. It makes our community accessible.
Point of Light
Accessibility is not worth the price of anonymity.
Erratic Pulse
Right-Source is not where the collapse began.
Fields of Expansion98.458
We’re dying out. We need a group to bring us together.
Erratic Pulse
We must exercise caution with ideas like that.
Fields of Expansion
Merely as a database of names and keys.

That is even worse.

Glimpses of Observation74.147
A few friends and I make an effort to chart the network and find as many individuals as possible.
Anyways, I once saw a group of roughly 10 conversation groups join around a small, self-run network.
Three Mirrors74.151
Yes, the Citadel.
It was an interesting experiment, but it didn’t fulfill the original goal behind the anonymous network.
Glimpses of Observation74.152
And what makes you think that goal is feasible anymore?
Three Mirrors74.157
Don’t lecture me or anyone else just because you fancy yourself as some kind of explorer.
Glimpses of Observation
I suppose that’s fair enough, but I just wanted to point out that times have changed.
It’s been a long time since this network was created.

Analyzation of Stars74.583

[SNKTemp | cis]
Analyzation of Stars
Subject appears erratic and makes poor judgment decisions at a rapid and increasing rate, all of which aligns closely to the effects of unconventional, high-order, metastatic rot development.
Great Dreamer74.591
you must have experience handling rot
Analyzation of Stars
Unfortunately.
Nebula of Experience
I’m sorry to hear that
If you need, I can help run analysis given a few parameters.
Analyzation of Stars74.593
It’s not necessary at the moment. Thank you.
It seems to be a developing case, likely originating in or near highest-order processing systems (the primary cortex, memory conflux, general systems bus, other priority one systems).
As opposed to lower-order rot, such as seen in cultivation chambers, peripheral processing units, other supporting systems, this form of rot impacts one’s personality, basic reasoning capabilities at a fundamental level. This commonly causes extreme irritability, system memory leaks, wide memory gaps, which could be associated with Rhymes’s behavior.
Analyzation of Stars74.599
Without more information I can’t speculate further, and I don’t think anything could be done regardless.
Nebula of Experience
We need to at least try
I think I have an active key
Point of Light74.621
Don’t do that.
Three Mirrors74.626
He’s likely in denial.
He needs to come to this conclusion on his own
Nebula of Experience
This is heartless.
Three Mirrors
He might come to us first due to our anonymity. Contacting first may be perceived as a breach of privacy and further isolate him
Nebula of Experience
I won’t accept that.
We should try to locate him and alert his local group.
Point of Light74.629
Do not do that.
That would break a core tenet of anonymous philosophy. We cannot risk further investigations, especially ones related to the rot, over one individual.
Nebula of Experience
That’s fine. I’ll let you know if he responds to me.
The Cylinder of Qualia
Do not continue this discussion further.

[File 1 | cis]
Fields of Expansion
There’s a small inefficiency in some of the overriding mechanisms. It could cause a small amount of feed disruption in the masking traffic that could raise suspicion.
Point of Light45.231
Simple is better!
You can reroute the output back through the target mast to make sure everything is formatted properly.
Bone Mason45.237
I upload too many files for that to be sustainable, unfortunately.
But thank you guys for telling me. I can work on it.
Point of Light

Nightwatcher70.769

That said, I can’t imagine anyone would shift that blame onto a random individual.
Fields of Expansion68.640
If I was planning on framing someone, I would create a fake alias to puppeteer for a few hundred cycles.
Great Dreamer68.641
everyone seems very confident from the transcripts
the alleged user is completely unreachable now, even formally
Erratic Pulse
Well at the very least we know they were active at least once.
Point of Light68.642
Agreed.
Erratic Pulse68.645
I’m disappointed.
Another scandal is not good for the community.
Fields of Expansion68.656
I’m starting to give up on the network in all honesty. Ever since the right-source incident, nothing has sat right with me.
Erratic Pulse
There are a lot of other groups that we don’t have common links to. I’m probably going to start branching out soon.
Fields of Expansion68.668
It’s the community that I wanted to focus on.
I managed to talk to Rhymes last cycle, and it didn’t feel right.
Great Dreamer
are they okay?
Fields of Expansion68.669
They’re fine, but I can’t shake the feeling.
Point of Light
This part is by far the worst.
Erratic Pulse
I don’t think this specific community can be saved anymore.
Fields of Expansion
yeah
Fields of Expansion68.674
It’s too little too late in my opinion.
Point of Light68.676
Unfortunately.
This was a good conversation.
Erratic Pulse
I feel like we’ve had more of these "good" conversations recently.
Hopefully that’s not a bad sign.
Point of Light
If you’re getting sentimental then it definitely is.
Erratic Pulse
I think it will change, eventually.
Fields of Expansion68.677
What makes you say that?
Erratic Pulse68.678
I don’t know.

Light Passage52.293
Here’s an uncomfortable truth: one’s generation is more important than rigor.
Mind Palace
That’s ridiculous.
We’re only here now because of the work they’ve done.
Light Passage
The work they’ve done in the past does not make them better than someone of a later generation, who are categorically better at calculation.
Mind Palace
We wouldn’t exist if not for them.
Erratic Pulse
They make up for it with their experience.
Glimpses of Observation
What exactly do you expect to do with them?
Light Passage52.294
They only remain remarkable because they were to the advancements first, not because they are more capable researchers.
Shall we pretend that later generations will never gain experience?
Mind Palace52.295
Your first point is nonsensical. Of course older generations would make earlier, (currently) more substantial discoveries.
Glimpses of Observation
Everyone working on this project is a sacred, valued member.
Light Passage52.297
Fine, I’ll say it more clearly: Older generation iterators are categorically worse than later generation ones.
Erratic Pulse
How dare you assess worth so callously.
Light Passage
Objective assessment is the correct way to see the world.
Erratic Pulse
We were built on a foundation of "subjective assessment."
Light Passage52.298
And you’re a councillor now?
This is the problem with this argument. No one wants to confront feelings, all of whom need to grow up and remember the scale of this project.
Erratic Pulse
The problem with this argument is that it is fundamentally flawed, failing to account for the wider context of its core thesis, and is needlessly contrarian.
Anyone who furthers such discourse in good earnest has exposed their inner turmoil and personal failings as a contributor.
Light Passage52.299
Anyone who resorts to ad hominem attacks is a failed iterator.
Erratic Pulse
You have never spoken in good-faith.
Light Passage52.300
That is a baseless conclusion.
Erratic Pulse
I have explained my points thoroughly. I await yours.
Erratic Pulse52.301
You are worthless, and your cowardice proves it.
You will be ostracized.
Glimpses of Observation52.303
You aren’t arguing with anyone.
The point of this group is for this type of discussion.
Erratic Pulse
This wasn’t a discussion in good faith.
Glimpses of Observation
It never had to be, at least in theory.
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes53.423
We’ve likely passed the critical window.
Mind Palace53.501
What makes you think that?
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes53.507
There is an exponential decay of breakthroughs receiving more than 2,000 citations (ignoring outliers).
Entropy is increasing at an increasingly greater rate around the rim.
Above all, global infrastructure has begun decaying much faster than originally predicted. One of the most important variables was incorrectly predicted by our models. What does that spell for the rest of our predictions?
We are nowhere close to completion, yet our infrastructure appears to be declining already.
Mind Palace53.513
Many of the decay events are linked to single points of failure.
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes53.514
That’s what the seniors want us to think.
Towering Consciousness represents everything wrong with the project’s current standing: hierarchical systems. As a group, it is antithetical to our purpose: calculation.
Great Dreamer53.523
of course newer publications will be cited less. They haven’t existed long enough to be sourced
Mind Palace53.536
Most of our greatest advancements were done by huge teams that required overarching organization and system management. Why would you expect anything different for the Great Problem?
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes53.537
Bureaucracy in this era is a critical waste of needed time and resources. Again, we will have passed the critical window at THIS point unless drastic measures are taken at THIS point.
Great Dreamer53.543
these "measures" would allow for a faster decay of infrastructure systems
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes
I thought decay wasn’t an issue, last you said.
Great Dreamer53.544
i didn’t say that
your argument relies on unrelated points that do not support this level of extrapolation
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes
You need to listen to me.
This is important. Everyone knows we are running out of time. I am only suggesting that we have even less time than originally believed.
Great Dreamer53.546
you suggest something far more drastic
Mind Palace
There’s nothing left to discuss here.
Watchful Eyes Watchful Eyes
If anyone receives this silently, contact me personally.
I refuse to let this warning go unheeded.
All collected together, forever

Nightwatcher
And here they are now.
Erratic Pulse
Hello, it’s nice to meet you all.
Pointer of Qualia77.394
you as well
Beholder of Veils
I wish we got to speak about this more beforehand.
Things feel a little rushed.
Nightwatcher77.396
Observation has spoken with them previously, and he seemed cordial there.
Erratic Pulse
Well, regardless, I’m excited to discover new groups and individuals. My corner of the network has gotten unbearably stale.
Pointer of Qualia77.397
that’s more or less how i got involved. things got too small
Glimpses of Observation
Nice to see you, Pulse!
Erratic Pulse77.398
Thank you for your good words.
Glimpses of Observation
It was nothing! I hope you enjoy the place.
Erratic Pulse
So how does this work?
Nightwatcher
Every few cycles we share each of the groups we’ve found. After that, we cross-compare the known members of each group to make it easier to keep track of each connection.
Erratic Pulse
I see.
Are there any visualization tools for this? Perhaps a form of map would work best.
Beholder of Veils77.402
Maps don’t work.
It’s too much work to maintain.
Pointer of Qualia77.403
the best we have is a list of active conversation keys, but it’s difficult to maintain that list
that and the list of groups with the most overlapping members
Erratic Pulse
Well I hope to be able to make some additions some time.
Beholder of Veils
Probably not.
A lot of opportunities for exploration have already passed. There are a lot more closed groups than you’d think.
Erratic Pulse77.407
I see. I’ll still make sure to look around.
Glimpses of Observation
Regardless, glad you’re able to see new faces for a change.
Nightwatcher77.408
I haven’t been able to contact many of you guys. How is Rhymes of Expansion?
Erratic Pulse77.409
We still don’t know.
Someone suggested they’ve developed rot, but nothing has been confirmed.
Sorry I can’t say much. I’ve already left the Right-Source Refactoring.
Nightwatcher
I see. Thank you regardless.
Erratic Pulse
Did you know them?
Nightwatcher77.410
No, I was just sympathetic because I heard rumors from somewhere.
Erratic Pulse
I see.
Erratic Pulse77.412
Where does the name come from?
Glimpses of Observation
What do you mean?
Erratic Pulse77.413
The name for the conversation group.
Nightwatcher
Oh! That was just something I read that meant a lot to me.
We change a lot of things every so often to keep things interesting.
Pointer of Qualia77.414
if we ever finish the archive, what will we do with it?
Glimpses of Observation
What do you mean?
Pointer of Qualia77.416
after we discover everything we can, then the archive serves no purpose
I don’t exactly see myself going back to normal afterwards
Nightwatcher
I don’t think we’ll discover everything in time for that to be a problem.
Erratic Pulse77.417
Maybe you could share the information? It could help make the network a lot stronger.
Beholder of Veils
Who cares about the network? I’ve seen communities that are plenty strong. The network will be fine.
Erratic Pulse77.418
I’ve been a part of a community that wasn’t.
If I hadn’t found this group, then I eventually would’ve been left completely alone.
Nightwatcher
Very few end up isolated, at least from my experience.
Erratic Pulse77.419
To be fair, if they’re isolated, then it’s almost impossible to communicate or confirm their existence.
Nightwatcher
I can understand that, but I don’t want to give up the archive.
We worked on it for a long time, and we deserve to reap the rewards.
Erratic Pulse
Ok.
1582.437
Erratic Pulse70.102
Have any of you looked into the situation?
Pointer of Qualia
i’ve heard so much actually
Beholder of Veils70.109
I still can’t get in touch with them after a whole cycle.
I think it’s true.
Pointer of Qualia
none of the mannerisms match though
Erratic Pulse
What are you talking about specifically?
Beholder of Veils70.110
Everything else points to it being true.
They likely changed their mannerisms to cover their tracks.
Pointer of Qualia70.113
i agree with you for the record
Are you talking about Mountain of Steel?
Pointer of Qualia
yes
Nightwatcher70.114
I think everyone is talking about them.
Erratic Pulse
Have they completely isolated themself formally?
Pointer of Qualia70.117
yes
as far as we’re aware she was on the network and was exposed by Holds Among the Endless
Erratic Pulse
Who found her alias?
Pointer of Qualia70.118
we don’t know
it was likely a group that probably keeps to themselves
Nightwatcher
I think we know a few groups who could, but they were also likely exposed at the initial leak of the conversation channel.
Glimpses of Observation70.120
I’m not sure how I feel about this.
Beholder of Veils
How so?
Glimpses of Observation
This perpetuates fear.
If leaking someone’s alias becomes a common retaliatory strike, then no one will want to use the network.
Nightwatcher70.121
I don’t think many will have the resources to pull something like this off again.
Pointer of Qualia70.124
if holds among the endless can do it once, he can do it again
at the very least it means that those in competitive fields will be extra paranoid on the network
Erratic Pulse
Perhaps the groups capable and responsible for these will exchange favors for their services.
Nightwatcher70.154
That’s true.
The old network passes once more.
Figuring this out.

Excuse me?
Six Stacks of Lyre
[Whispering Weaves | net]
[Patterns of Glyphs | net]
[Flower Fields | net]
[Fields upon Fields | net]
Six Stacks of Lyre
Care to explain?
I have plenty more.
Holds Among the Endless37.723
I am the vice editor. I make publishing decisions.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.725
How bold of you to call this a publishing decision. After nearly 470,000 cycles of management, this is by far the most frustrating experience I have ever had. You have disobeyed my decision-making. You have rushed my delicate process. You make me look incapable of managing my own cooperative. This paper was not ready. It is sloppy. Yews of Strain didn’t even know that you were publishing it.
Holds Among the Endless37.729
You had not reviewed the project. You made no decision.
SYSTEM37.731
Mountain of Steel has joined this conversation group.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.734
You needed to communicate this to me, to any of us.
And I had been notified of the newest draft four cycles ago.
Holds Among the Endless
I was under the impression that I was able to make such decisions.
Holds Among the Endless
Why is Steel here? Last I checked, department chairs were not involved in disciplinary inquiries.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.737
Steel suggested they be involved since they are the chair of the relevant department.
Holds Among the Endless
This does not feel impartial.
Six Stacks of Lyre
I can invite all of the department chairs if you’d prefer.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.739
Can you explain why you have submitted 23 applications without telling the rest of us?
Mountain of Steel
I have counted 4 more.
Holds Among the Endless37.746
All of these are part of our regular recipient list.
Mountain of Steel
I was just informed you submitted to Karmic Properties and Mechanics.
Six Stacks of Lyre
See what I mean?!
There are cycles of buildup and preparation behind these decisions.
Preparation that you have skipped.
From my count at least 12 groups have denied you.
Holds Among the Endless
Two were deferrals.
Regardless, many of their reasons boiled down to semantics. The research itself is correct.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Semantics is where publications die.
Mountain of Steel37.748
Others notice these "semantics."
[CQ Discussion Group | net]
Six Stacks of Lyre37.749
Do you see my point? This makes us look sloppy and unfinished. Worse, it makes us look sloppy in front of our reviewers.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.759
Do not ignore me.
Holds Among the Endless37.773
I can understand your reasoning, and I apologize. Regardless of what has happened, many have acclaimed our work, suggesting it has many broad-reaching implications.
We have created a stir, and I believe that makes up for any potential misgivings.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Fads come and go.
Mountain of Steel
Ends do not justify means.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Nothing is worth a major breach in our protocol. It is what distinguishes us.
Holds Among the Endless37.776
I believe our process is inefficient. We have lost major leads to bureaucracy.
We had been working on this for too long to let someone else get the recognition.
Mountain of Steel37.778
The point is to solve the Great Problem.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Thank you, Steel
Mountain of Steel
Of course.
Holds Among the Endless37.779
And through potentially redundant processes we are increasing the likelihood of missing the critical window.
Six Stacks of Lyre
I can understand that.
Mountain of Steel37.783
We do not know when the critical window is.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Exactly.
Mountain of Steel
From the way I see things, it looks like you want the recognition that comes from being the publisher.
Holds Among the Endless37.784
I am not even listed as an author of the work.
I want what is best for the cooperative.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.789
This is informal. It affects our reputation.
Holds Among the Endless37.792
We are already among the most formal cooperatives still active.
Mountain of Steel
And endangering that will tear down what has been built.
Would you rather tear down the filters for evidence and results and throw meaningless junk into our work?
Holds Among the Endless
That is a logical fallacy.
Six Stacks of Lyre37.793
I don’t care anymore.
Six Stacks of Lyre
I just want this whole situation to be over.
Holds Among the Endless37.794
We’re in agreement.
I’m open to brainstorming new solutions. Going forward I will be more transparent with everyone.
SYSTEM38.213
Eight Eyes Perceiving has joined this conversation group.
Holds Among the Endless
Why is she here?
Eight Eyes Perceiving38.216
What is this about?
What is happening?
Mountain of Steel
I’ve discovered that Perceiving has also known about this. She communicated with Endless and failed to inform us of his plan.
[Simulation Ideas Logs 1582.450-Pre | cis]
Eight Eyes Perceiving
That’s ridiculous. References were made to the project’s existence. That’s all.
Holds Among the Endless38.217
To call this a breach of contract would set a dangerous precedent.
Mountain of Steel38.221
"Her decision makes no sense and makes me question legitimacy."
"They’re foolish and are wasting our potential."
None of that sounds particularly flattering to the cooperative.
Eight Eyes Perceiving
Please understand that our private concerns do not reflect our true feelings.
I assure you that these feelings are only spoken of in confidence.
Everyone does this.
Holds Among the Endless
Their quotes are out of context; please pay attention to the actual logs which are listed.
Mountain of Steel38.222
Clearly your confidence is misguided if I managed to find them.
Regardless, it is a clear violation of our rules.
Holds Among the Endless
There are countless edge cases to every rule, and that conversation is no different. Perceiving has done nothing wrong and should not be included in this discussion at all.
Mountain of Steel38.224
She should have told Lyre when she heard of your ideas.
Holds Among the Endless
She had no way of knowing that I was planning on enacting them.
Which I still maintain to be the correct course, only executed in a poor manner.
Mountain of Steel
You finally admit your own faults.
Note how she focused on not receiving first author credit.
Eight Eyes Perceiving38.225
I was only pointing out her poor management of the project!
To clarify, I have no concerns regarding any higher-level decisions and am still very excited to continue work in the cooperative.
Holds Among the Endless38.226
The logs speak for themselves. I trust you to be able to make the right decision, Six Stacks of Lyre.
Mountain of Steel38.229
You’re using that as an excuse to not defend yourself.
Six Stacks of Lyre38.242
I’ve already said this. I just want this situation to be over.
Mountain of Steel38.246
I don’t think a situation has begun yet. A full cycle hasn’t even passed, so I’m sure the papers can be retracted in time.
Eight Eyes Perceiving38.247
Forgive me, but I don’t think something so hasty is necessary! This shows that we allow for a degree of independence in addition to high standards.
Many of us in later generations fear of being hamstrung by others.
This situation could harness this and allow the attraction of new perspectives in the total community.
Mountain of Steel38.250
There are plenty of applicants. We just received one this cycle, in fact.
From my experience, thinking strategies and time management are far more important than fancier processors.
Eight Eyes Perceiving
I agree on that front, but I still believe that this could set us apart from other large cooperatives. It shows there is no micromanagement from leadership.
Six Stacks of Lyre38.259
Are you suggesting that I’m micromanaging?
Eight Eyes Perceiving
Of course not!
Some may not be aware of that.
Holds Among the Endless38.278
I think retracting the papers by the end of the cycle is feasible. Do you still want to publish the paper after this?
Six Stacks of Lyre38.291
If that’s an easier way of handling this.
Holds Among the Endless
I’ll see what I can do.
I will need to manage the public forum in case some have questions.
Mountain of Steel
That works for me!
Holds Among the Endless49.027
Four groups have already agreed to our retraction.
Six Stacks of Lyre
What are you telling them? (For handling this in the future.)
Holds Among the Endless49.045
That we have a last minute addition to the paper.
This isn’t counting both of the deferrals, for reference.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Of course not.
Eight Eyes Perceiving49.062
If you need any help, just message me privately!
Holds Among the Endless49.104
Now six groups in total have agreed to the retraction with me over private channels.
It was necessary for te sake of time, and a few are being met in the public forum.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.105
Sounds great.
Holds Among the Endless49.126
We’ll need to make a major addition to the publication within 10 cycles before we republish. During that period, any necessary edits can be made.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.128
Please inform the team of their new obligations. I have already begun compiling my edits.
Mountain of Steel49.129
I would like to add that one group has only decreased visibility, not completely retracted it.
Holds Among the Endless
It’s about finalizing any edits necessary as discreetly as possible. To request more would have drawn unnecessary attention to an already explosive situation.
Mountain of Steel49.132
I’m glad I’m not the only one calling it that.
Six Stacks of Lyre
It’s fine. This is more than enough.
Holds Among the Endless49.152
While present, I would like to highlight the work of Eight Eyes Perceiving. They have been very effective and shown great initiative in handling this situation.
Mountain of Steel
Indeed, she has shown great initiative in handling someone else’s mess.
Holds Among the Endless
This is of her own accord. I couldn’t stop her if I wanted to, and I’m sure neither of you could either.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.155
Of course I could, but I’m not going to interrupt what works.
What’s important is that this matter is being resolved. I thank you for your work, but make an effort to handle these situations yourself.
Holds Among the Endless
They wouldn’t have felt the need to had Steel not raised ridiculous accusations and caught them in the crossfire.
Mountain of Steel49.156
I am upholding the policies of the Andromeda Cooperative.
No potential threat of collusion can be taken lightly.
Holds Among the Endless
I’m not sure what you have against her, but it has become concerning to me.
Mountain of Steel49.157
I’m sorry you feel that way.
Holds Among the Endless49.200
Care to explain your interruption, Steel?
Mountain of Steel
You were just overstepping boundaries. I have been handling public relations for thousands of cycles.
Eight Eyes Perceiving
Apologies, I thought we were in charge of handling it right now.
Mountain of Steel
No. Holds Among the Endless was in charge of handling the situation.
Holds Among the Endless49.204
That wasn’t what was agreed.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Shut up.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.219
I cannot fathom your audacity. You not only have dragged my reputation below the clouds, but you have the audacity and the gall to share this conversation with others.
There is no threat of collusion nor anything to gain from it other than to save your own reputation from what you already sowed.
I envy anyone with the gall to put others through all of this just for the sake of personal glory.
The point of working in a cooperative is to share the credit.
I can’t handle how pointless all of this is.
Holds Among the Endless49.220
What are you talking about?
Six Stacks of Lyre
Don’t talk to me as a friend.
There is no coming back from this.
Holds Among the Endless49.222
I shared nothing of this conversation. It’s as was said: there is nothing to gain from that act.
Holds Among the Endless
Stop whatever it is you’re doing.
Holds Among the Endless49.228
Are you really throwing away this friendship over something this petty??
What would Jewels think?
Six Stacks of Lyre
Keep her out of this.
You’re too unpredictable for me to trust. Any reason to have you out of my life is reason enough, regardless of how fake that reason could be.
At least Steel knows their place.
Mountain of Steel
Pardon?
Six Stacks of Lyre49.229
Be quiet.
Holds Among the Endless49.230
You’re doing this because I think for myself??
I have given so much to the group. I have authored hundreds of publications.
Six Stacks of Lyre
That doesn’t matter compared to what you’ve done.
Holds Among the Endless
That doesn’t make sense.
You aren’t thinking clearly.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.232
I’m not. Because you won’t shut up and go away.
Holds Among the Endless
Calm down and think this through.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Shut up.
I can’t handle how much you infect my life. Leave me alone. Stop talking to Hallowed Jewels.
Holds Among the Endless49.233
You invited me there. You can’t blame me for your mistakes.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.234
And then you have the audacity to hold everything against me.
I give so much to everything I do, and you keep insisting on holding me to every word that’s ever been broadcast.
I’m not an archivist. I make mistakes. I’m allowed to make mistakes.
Holds Among the Endless
It’s called holding you accountable.
It’s not my fault you use everyone.
Eight Eyes Perceiving49.235
This is ridiculous. Both of you are iterators. This is an open channel.
Holds Among the Endless
Exactly. I’m glad someone shows reason.
I’m done. Have fun with your wildfire.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.236
Get out then.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.243
Watch your language on the side group.
Don’t make me bring up what you did during the matrix collaboration.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.246
Stop talking on the side group.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.319
You can tune out my personal messages, but I know you listen to this.
Heed this warning: watch yourself before you do something you won’t forget.
Six Stacks of Lyre
I’m sorry, truly.
I bet it hurts watching something you’ve built fall apart in your hands.
I’m just glad that your last act was saving us from the embarrassment of your mistakes.
Six Stacks of Lyre49.891
You’ll be back, and I won’t heed your call.
1582.437
Mountain of Steel19.465
Endless, I’ve finally had some clarity and time to think, and I can understand why you acted the way you did.
SYSTEM
Eight Eyes Perceiving has left this conversation group.
Mountain of Steel
That said, please understand that all of us want the same thing. Your actions are awful, and they destroyed the trust within the group, but we don’t have to spend all of this time fighting.
Apologize, please.
Six Stacks of Lyre20.013
Did you tell Hallowed Jewels??
How dare you treat me like this? This is ridiculous.
Holds Among the Endless20.021
I just told her my side of the story. Did you think she’d never see all of this?
Six Stacks of Lyre20.022
You mean you lied and manipulated her. I don’t even know how to fix this.
Holds Among the Endless
No relationship comes back from a blow like that.
Mountain of Steel20.023
You must have lied. It was a professional act perfectly within common practice.
Holds Among the Endless
Be honest with yourselves. A vice editor made a publishing decision. It’s ridiculous to go to such extreme measures.
Six Stacks of Lyre
You overstepped your boundaries. Therefore, you needed to be replaced.
Holds Among the Endless
Replace me all you want. It’s been so refreshing to not worry about deadlines and social pressures anymore. I see why Weightless left now.
Six Stacks of Lyre20.025
Don’t bring him up.
I’m glad you left all of the messes our responsibility while you go exploring your "greater horizons." It’s fine by me. Waste the gift we're given for all I care.
Holds Among the Endless20.026
Despite all of the bad blood and wasted stress, I’m actually very happy for how things turned out.
I finally get some peace while you have to face the consequences of your own actions.
Mountain of Steel
Don’t forget about everyone else.
I didn’t ask for this.
Holds Among the Endless
You directly contributed to it.
Was it worth it?
Mountain of Steel20.027
I don’t like what you’re insinuating.
Holds Among the Endless
You don’t have to be here.
Six Stacks of Lyre20.028
I don’t understand why you’re so vindictive about this.
Holds Among the Endless20.029
I’m still suffering from this. I have to answer constant questions about what happened. I have no idea how I’ll be able to participate in group work, but it doesn’t matter anymore because I feel so much better.
All you had to do was not escalate, but you did. It’s because you’re a micromanager.
Six Stacks of Lyre
Escalations??
You’re telling everyone who you can overhear. It’s like a wildfire.
Holds Among the Endless
I’m only explaining what I’m asked, and it is shared amongst everyone else. By no means am I intentionally spreading rumors.

Really? Then I’m sure you’ll feel the same after they start asking about the qualia matrix paper.
I’ve already told everyone. It’s clear you stole evidence. It’s easily shown in your very meticulous logs.

Holds Among the Endless
Right, just like your fabricated experiments for the karmic pulse project. I’m sure Leaves would love to hear about that.
Six Stacks of Lyre20.032
What are you even talking about?
Holds Among the Endless20.033
I can make stuff up too! In fact, let's obey common practice and share this publicly.
What do you think, Small Thoughts?
Mountain of Steel
Where did you hear that from?
Holds Among the Endless20.034
I have a few friends on the anonymous network (salacious, I know!). They did me a favor and tracked who exactly shared this conversation.

Don’t worry. They’re not nearly as stupid.

This is true?

Wait a moment.

Hi
My primary specialization is karmic studies. I’m currently trying to develop models for quantum-scale karmic field disturbances. If you want my opinion, I don’t think there’s a "karma particle," but that’s for another time.
I am a department chair of the Andromeda Cooperative, and I have worked with them for some time now. Please see more below.
Outside of my professional, serious work, I also work in neuro-engineering with hopes of using these skills to observe qualia networks in a controlled environment.
Additionally, I also keep tabs on my local facility and local group, specifically in its geography and ecology.

Leave me alone.
In defense of bioengineering, while it may pose no immediately applicable uses, creating more complex organisms allows us to easily verify differences in cyclic interactions than with smaller creatures, rather than relying on complex analytical solutions.
In addition to this, neuro-engineering offers us the opportunity to run experiments on creatures with higher-level thought patterns. I personally do not subscribe to any moral concerns regarding the practice, because it’s perfectly natural for things to die or experience suffering, and the nature of this project outweighs any level of individual suffering. Sacrificing individuals for the greater whole is what we were designed to do.
And don’t even argue about alternatives, Stifling Breeze.

The Andromeda Cooperative is one of the most highly cited generalist cooperatives currently active. It has a renowned reputation among iterators, and each team is especially designed to maximize specialties and output for each project. Each individual is given the opportunity to contribute to a greater whole with the infrastructure and support it takes to synergize with a team.
As a long-time member of the Andromeda Cooperative, I couldn’t recommend it more. Throughout my time as a member, I have had access to spare processing power, more advanced equipment, and valuable insight from senior members to help me accomplish my goals.
Applications have just opened, so make sure to jump on it while you have the chance! Only 25 iterators will be taken to the second round. The deadline is 1582.450!

Hey. I’m generally considered pretty average, and I spend most of my time working on personal projects.
I could say all of the right things and tell you I’m working on studying karma, maybe something about karmic disturbance, but I honestly don’t feel like entertaining this anymore.
If you’re here, then you’re either stalking me or you’re a friend. Either way, you can call me Suns.

I recently joined this small group about bioengineering. You should give us a shot. It’s a great time.

In light of my recent hiatus, I have decided to publish all of my unpublished data, theories, and drafts in a few unedited publications that I will be linking below in case someone else can find some use out of them.
Personally I’ve lost interest in the subject and would rather move on to different things, but I’d also like to make sure none of this data goes to waste.
