Work Text:
Clark finds Bruce sitting by the riverbank, looking over a sky awash in pink and orange.
“I looked everywhere for you,” Clark murmurs. “What are you thinking about?”
“How beautiful the sunset is today,” Bruce replies. “I want to stay here for a while. You should go back without me.”
But Clark shakes his head. He sits and rests his head on Bruce’s shoulders. “I’ll watch with you.”
The hues on the horizon deepen into pronounced streaks of color. Sunset has a way of turning seconds into minutes. This slows down too: every kiss they share on the riverbank shore.
